Actually, I came across your videos when your visit to Moore Street in Dublin video was recommended to me! That was brilliant. I loved the way the Irish appreciated a non-Irish person speaking Irish. They are so used to people either not knowing the language exists, or putting it down as unnecessary.
I love how happy and sweet they are when they find out you can speak their language. It’s so sweet and cute. Absolutely love it
The way people react to you speaking never fails to make me smile lol
Xiaoma love your videos! They inspire me to learn different languages! You’re one of the coolest keep at it much love from NJ! 🤙🏻
For some reason these are my favorite type of your videos keep it up ❤
7:50 the Neos are everywhere ^-^ "Like a sticker"
I cannot get enough of these videos, honestly. Its so funny seeing people react to how good he is at speaking their language
I absolutely love watching your videos. You have such a natural ability to learn and intonate the native tongue, that is a rare gift.
Our boy got his pockets ran for some purple green beans and tomatoes this time 😂 love the videos man, enjoy all them tomatoes lol
7:22 I've seen chinese vendors do this a lot and it seems so rude to me, everyone is struggling gurl like that's ur customer..
I would watch one of your videos everyday if you posted daily. Can never get enough of you making peoples day! Keep up the great content!
I speak spanish about as well as Xiaoma speaks Chinese (his Cantonese), and I also spend time in New York. Let me tell you, there is no better feeling than getting in an uber and speaking the native language of the driver. They absolutely light up and can't stop talking. They always are so excited that I made the effort to learn and they often tell me a lot about how they came to the states and their backstory. It's so humanizing and fascinating.
I'm going to show your videos to my mom! She is from Taiwan and speaks Mandarin! She taught me a little bit when I was little, but she was the only one around that spoke the language, so I couldn't practice much and have only retained a few words. You're doing such an awesome job!
Love your videos, you have inspired me to learn new languages the right way and I have been learning Malayalam to speak with friends and what not and it's been great!
7:50 NCT is everywhere 😼
I don't usually comment on videos but I just found your channel and I'm completely amazed by your talent! I would really like too see you try to learn Farsi for your next challenge :)
These videos always put a smile on my face. The appreciate individuals have for you for learning, loving and respecting their language and culture is so beautiful. Its sooo connecting!! Love it!
These videos are sole wholesome. They open right up to you when you start speaking Mandarin.
Haha it's always
- Where did you learn Chinese
- Beijing for 1 year
- How did you get so good in 1 year
- I've studied in America for many years
The women who told you to just buy the tomatoes really shows the community and care they have for one another ❤
As long they are from their community, if not, they will overcharge you without hesitation.
6:08 Didn't knew Xiaoma smokes lol
The more I watch these videos the more I learn what great people the Chinese are. Just by him speaking their native tongue they become overwhelmingly kind and hospitable. We Americans could definitely learn a thing or two from them.
7:58 lol I was subconsciously singing along before realising it is NCT haha
Xiaoma bringing the world together one person at a time. 👏🌹
Xiaoma you should do a video where you work at a Chinese food place and take orders in Chinese
That’s called a Netflix show
I swear this is the one TH-cam channel dedicated to wholesome fun. Always appreciate these videos.
I have watched a lot of your videos and they are so endearing. My favorite part is how no one is upset and in fact it is quite the opposite. They encourage and are proud of you. They thank you for keeping their culture alive. My heart melts. Atta boy.
"Hello, Xiaoma!" I'd imagine Ari gets recognized often in any NYC Chinatown now. And I'm getting addicted to the genuine reaction he gets from someone who immediately surprised that he speaks their language. It's 100% authentic. The absolute best in wholesome reality-TV!
It never gets old seeing how happy people are that you can speak their language.
So proud of you 😊❤🕊
what did he do?
So learning another language is what it takes for someone to be proud of me? Wow it was always right in front of me.
@@blandspaghettidinner8949 He speaks many different languages, I'm impressed that he is a polyglot
"I only smoke when offered cigarettes by old Chinese men" hahahahaha
The lady helping you with the work out pants has strong nurturing mom energy and I love that.
What keeps me coming back to your videos is just the reactions, and how barriers drop immediately and they don't treat you like Gweilo
8:26 not sticker playing in the background 😭😭
I'm just amazed you still find people that don't know you speak Chinese haha. Great video as always
“I only smoke when offered cigarettes by old Chinese men”
Love that 😂 great way of showing respect
i love the way everyone opens up to you once you start in their tongue ... such a warming experience
I love the recurring theme of calling him handsome for speaking their language. Love, love, love it.
I'm so freaking envious of you. I know it takes work to learn this stuff, but even if I could speak their language, I'd be to nervous. You're a really cool dude.
you should learn armenian. i’ve looked into it a little bc my moms side is armenian and at times it sounds almost european and apparently it’s ancient. idk if there’s a large armenian population in nyc but if you ever went to the west coast or something it would probably make for a cool video
Lots of Armenian people around jersey city
You've inspired my language journey so much and I pray that Jesus fills you with his presence and love bc you are simply wonderful 😊✨🤗✨. Like seriously, what God has blessed you with is actually amazing.
I liked the relaxed vibe of buying the vegetables. Just showcasing casual conversation & chinese food, nice mood
I love how much Chinese people appreciate his efforts to learn their language and culture so much. The best is when they tell him how handsome he is 😊
Hey Xiaoma, would you ever consider learning Welsh/Cymraeg?
This man’s social score must be crazy good.
Lol!
The way Americans automatically say this shit when someone challenges the western narrative. 🤦
Seriously...Doing better work than Wumao...
Who, the guy who said China is doing a great job getting rid of the (phony) Covid virus?
@@MrLanternland yep
love how aespa was playing in the background haha
And NCT at 7:50 lol
1:44 I love that. They both switched and it took her a second to realize.
