You can imagine what it was like for us in 1990 when the album was just released and there were few examples of something like it prior to it's release.
Radkon Psygami That year is a landmark in metal. My journey started with Painkiller. Discovered Rust In Peace and Cowboys from Hell... Just plain fucking epic music throughout that year.
And the winner, and NEW WORLD CHAMPION for interpretive seat dancing is...YOU, YOU, YOU!!!! This is by far one if my favorite reactions you've had thus far and I'm not necessarily a Megadeth fan. But seeing you groove to it brought a smile to my face. Keep up the great work!!
Totally :) I was smiling throughout the reaction :) This is the music that got me started in metal. Well, this Cowboys from Hell and Painkiller in 1990.
Sean Mellert I tweeted it to Dave, dunno if he watched it or not :) He took the time to shout out at Lost In Vegas, so this would be something you'd shout out to aswell :)
That's my favorite riff off the entire album, it's all in that one bup bup ba _BaAaAaAa_ bend that they do that is just so perfectly set up by all the notes around it, mwah
After hearing So Far So Good So What then this album, Dave Mustaine really hit a jackpot with Marty Friedman and Nick Menza. Still my favorite Megadeth line up. RIP Nick Menza, your work on this album was legendary.
Call me weird but whenever I think of Menza what comes to mind is the last seconds from the "Paranoid" cover they did for "Nativity in Black" (also great cover album btw) where Menza kept beating the drums after the song ended and Mustaine shouted " Nick...Nick..NICK!!!" for him to stop.
Yagami Raïto I'm that's cause metallica had the same beats over and over, the grooves and beats of megadeth are better. Megadeth is fast but they way they play still has a beat and groove....
He loves technical virtuosity and the more progressive stuff... I also hardly prefer Rust in Peace over Master of Puppets... just because it get's me more f*cking hyped. He seems to be somewhat random, but I think you can actually foresee now the albums he will and will not like.
I sometimes regret watching some of your reactions, but I always keep coming back just in search of THIS! It's so much fun when you actually enjoy an album.
Early 90s was great man. Everybody was doing great records. Rust in Peace Fear of the Dark Metallica Painkiller Use you illusions Revenge Cowboys from hell...and so many more
also so many great movies like Terminator 2,silence of the lambs, dances with wolves,Thelma and louise, ghost, point break, reservoir dogs and so many more
That was awesome. I can't see how anybody could dislike this album. A true classic, a true masterpiece from top to bottom. I remember buying the cassette tape when I was eleven years old. And my first introduction to thrash, and boy what a start with the first opening thirty five seconds. after that I was hooked. Let's keep it going you, you, you.
had to watch for a second time and this is the two of the greatest reaction video's of all time especially the last couple of seconds of this video is just classic. Check out LOST IN VEGAS channel. Check out their holy wars video, it's epic.
Nor been more satisfied with a reaction. Takes me back to fucking high school. I actually remember seeing the debut videos for Holy Wars and Painkiller on Headbanger's Ball the same night. Talk about pants shitting.
And you say you don't like thrash......this album is pure grinding creative thrash. One of the best of it's time and one that transcends time to become an absolute classic. Great reaction and welcome to the family of thrash music, it's creeping in your blood now, soon it will grow. Oh, and yeah, there's much more.
To me, this is their magnum opus. One of the greatest displays of prowess in metal. Megadeth's best lineup, playing at 10 10ths. Some of the rhythm stuff remains mind-boggling even after all this time. And the leads...what needs to be said about the leads?
Nick Menza was a BEAST on drums. Phenomenal. So sad we lost him. RIP Nick Menza. Megadeth kicked your ass yes but Nick Menza brought some serious drum insanity to the table as well. Just that you correctly called it 10 Painkillers sums it up pretty well. Can't wait to see your reaction to Countdown to Extinction. If you thought Rust in Peace was epic...just wait for Countdown. YouYouYou will have your ass kicked yet again, my brother. Lookout and lock and load.
Really enjoyed this reaction. The guitar work is very satisfying and god tier. The drumming is legendary. Everyone sounds incredible in this album. Rust In Peace and Ride The Lightning are my favorite Thrash Metal albums ever. Thank you for reacting to this. I'm so happy that you reacted to this. So glad you liked it man. My favorite Megadeth album for sure. Also, add Incubus, 311, and Faith No More to the draft please. Lost In Vegas's reaction to Holy Wars is awesome too.
The Grim Dealer because this is thrash at its most refined and fully realized. Tight riffs played at breakneck speeds with real aggression. It’s gritty, but it’s a fully-formed idea.
This is why this record is simply the greatest metal album ever recorded. Don't matter if you have an inexperienced pair of ears, this album deserves to be listened before dying. Its Megadeth's and thrash metal's magnum opus.
Megadeth's classic lineup as of this album: Dave Mustaine - Lead vocals, rhythm guitar, lead guitar David Ellefson - Bass guitar, backing vocals Marty Friedman - Lead guitar, rhythm guitar Nick Menza - Drums, backing vocals This Album is the SHIT!
And that feeling is why I think Rust In Peace is the greatest metal album of all time. Full Stop. It's been within arms reach for decades and I get the same feeling every time I press play. @4:13
Your reaction just made my week. That you had to pullover alone. Classic. No need to continue on that was Megadeth’s Masterpiece. It’s all down hill for them after this album.
I thought he would like Countdown To Exctintion, Youthanasia and Cryptic Writings for the lack of thrash and the groove, but he did enjoy the thrash stuff here the most. So now I don't know.
A fun one too is hidden treasures .. loved this reaction megadeth was one of the first metal bands I was exposed to, my grandma bought me last action hero tape, angry again blow my brain apart lol, I new of megadeth long before I knew anything Metallica, I think you’ll love the next few albums, personally I love the thrash era (who am I kidding I love cryptic writings) but some great songs coming your way by |\/|EGADET|-| | |
This album is like someone ripped a whole traffic light post off the ground and smashed me across the face with it. I don’t know how else to describe it.
Haha!! I knew all about this album(and memorized) a decade ago and I knew he’d get all crazy during the first title track with the continued prolong solo. Love this guys reactions! Let’s keep it goin’!!!! 😆🤘😆
Freaking loved this reaction man, knew you'd dig this album. Hangar 18 is one of my favorite songs and it was thoroughly awesome to see you getting blown away by it.
Right up there with Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence and Train of Thought by Dream Theater. I saw Megadeth when they came to San Antonio with Dream Theater. One word-MINDBLOWING!!!!!🔥🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Megadeth is an AMAZING band and the main man, Dave Mustaine, is a fucking genius. For years I've warned people that if they don't like guitars they won't like Megadeth, but if you do like guitars you'll fucking LOVE them! The bastards are RELENTLESS on those strings, man. And I so love them for that.
No Metallica album would leave you like that. You have experiences something out of this world. Good call on pulling over. New listeners should handle this album with care.
SFSGSW is not a great album. It's a decent album with a ton of flaws, and it demonstrated how inconsistent Dave would be for the entirety of his career.
First real laugh of the day for me, dude. Welcome to the Metal community. You've just listened to one of the best albums of all times. And you know nothing yet... Many more to come.
İ don't think i'm seen you like that before you blasted to this album literally every song you've blown away like all of us man you this one of the greatest albums you ever heard and i agree but also this is one of the greatest reaction i ever watched peace.
Was not expecting this vid to drop today. Was very glad to see it was an extended reaction after the last one lol. Rust In Peace is one of Megadeth's best albums by far. Not a skippable song on it. Literally rocks from the first lick to the last drumbeat. I listen to this at least once a week at work unless burning in a new album on repeat. So glad ya liked it and hope it finds a nice home on *your* playlist as well ;) Peace
Love him or hate him Mustane is a genius and this album set the bar for everyone else. When they played live on arsenio hall (forgive if I spelled that wrong) that wasn’t their audience and the reaction from the crowd was the best I’ve ever seen for live tv.
This album is the one reason alone that mostly everyone suggested this band to you, when I first heard this album I was shook and listened to it for so long
Let's Keep It Going
th-cam.com/video/_QTQe4kmDw8/w-d-xo.html
Rust in Peace...best thrash metal album.
RIP Nick Menza. 🤘
It's not thrash metal, is speed, power, thrash, progressive in some point EVERYTHING heavy metal album.
@@billgonzo116 Who gives a flying fuck about your genre mook? The album is some clean metal up your ass type music genre
One of the best for sure
Rust in Peace is the Masterpiece of Thrash metal🙌
Bill Gonzo It is one of the most quintessential thrash albums ever made by an equally quintessential band. Dafuq you on about?
If he didn't pull over after Hangar 18, Take No Prisoners would've drove him off the road
ppaulisdeadd lol...I actually said to myself in the Holy Wars solo, dude better pull over...
I said on the SFSGSW video that he needed to start listening to this one before he started driving cuz safety first.
do not spoiler
midibenni do not read comments....what do you think people are gunna be commenting about ?..
"do not spoiler"
Does everyone agree to not tell his wife that his relationship with metal appears to have become, um, physical?
He's Having A Metalfair
"It´s like 10 Painkiller tracks on one album" Great description, lol.
@@maxotto9877 dawn patrol has one of the best bass lines ever made. Don't ever disrespect that song, fool.
Jaycee Flow. Fucking agreed. Dawn Patrol sounds badass, building up right before the title track of Rust In Peace..Polaris.
"Make it stop!!"
"Don't stop!!"
Priceless! ㅋㅋ
Lmao "Megadeth just kicked my ass"
Pretty much sums this video up nice.
You can imagine what it was like for us in 1990 when the album was just released and there were few examples of something like it prior to it's release.
Kicking so much ass is lagged the video a bit after he said it lol
Radkon Psygami I can definitely imagine what it was like cuz I was 16 in 1990 and owned this album the day it was released.
Radkon Psygami
That year is a landmark in metal. My journey started with Painkiller. Discovered Rust In Peace and Cowboys from Hell... Just plain fucking epic music throughout that year.
11DNA11 1990 also had Slayer Seasons in the Abyss, Queensryche Empire, Testament Souls of Black and Alice in chains Facelift.
Best year ever
And the winner, and NEW WORLD CHAMPION for interpretive seat dancing is...YOU, YOU, YOU!!!!

Sean Mellert
I tweeted it to Dave, dunno if he watched it or not :) He took the time to shout out at Lost In Vegas, so this would be something you'd shout out to aswell :)
I think Megadeth just went from zero to hero for you man.
I never knew how to properly describe the opening riff of Lucretia. Dude. It's so fuckin _tingly_
ppaulisdeadd I always thought that song was underrated af
It is underrated imo
Especially when the bass kicks in. Fuck.
That's my favorite riff off the entire album, it's all in that one bup bup ba _BaAaAaAa_ bend that they do that is just so perfectly set up by all the notes around it, mwah
It's better than tornado of souls
Tornado of Souls solo got me the first time too. 😂
Hell yes. That one is amazing
haha this is goin viral..can just imagine Dave Mustaine's smirk face watching this..one of his best reaction vid haha
C Cranium Especially since the black album came out a year later and we all remember his reaction to that...
Cee Dub Vee
Enough people linking this to Dave on twitter and it will.
Lost In Vegas got 150k subs from their Holy Wars reaction.
Cee Dub Vee Trust me.. Dave notices anything that will stroke his ego lol
After hearing So Far So Good So What then this album, Dave Mustaine really hit a jackpot with Marty Friedman and Nick Menza. Still my favorite Megadeth line up. RIP Nick Menza, your work on this album was legendary.

So you wondered why 50% of the past comments said "MEGADETH!"? That's why. :D
Master Key Weird thing is, he HATED the trash part of Metallica because it was "too fast" but here he's lovin' it.. That guy have no logic whatsoever.
Master Key oh but he won't like megadeth ;) Hahaha
Yagami Raïto I'm that's cause metallica had the same beats over and over, the grooves and beats of megadeth are better. Megadeth is fast but they way they play still has a beat and groove....
He loves technical virtuosity and the more progressive stuff... I also hardly prefer Rust in Peace over Master of Puppets... just because it get's me more f*cking hyped. He seems to be somewhat random, but I think you can actually foresee now the albums he will and will not like.
timjenkins502: Well, considering Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, Risk will be his favorite album in the end hahahah
Rust In Peace by Megadeth is favorite album of all time! Fantasitc reaction! Glade you liked it!
Easily top 3 for metal
This album is one of their best, great songs on it.
A little fun fact, Rust in Peace and Painkiller were both released in the same year (1990)
The same month, even. I saw the debut videos for Painkiller and Holy Wars on the same Headbanger's Ball episode that year.
alphaenemy 2 of the greatest metal songs ever created. As well as 2 of the best metal albums ever along with master of puppets and seventh son!
Sadly didn't discover Maiden until a year or two later.
They toured together, too! I saw Megadeth (and Testament) open for Priest on that tour. One of the best shows of my life!
Tornado Of Souls solo vs Painkiller solo?
I sometimes regret watching some of your reactions, but I always keep coming back just in search of THIS! It's so much fun when you actually enjoy an album.
This is probably, front to back, the greatest metal album ever conceived.
racewiththefalcons1 Between this and Powerslave for me. Could listen to either on repeat for the rest of time.
please !!!
racewiththefalcons1 Painkiller bruh
after and Justice for all
Agree! Best Thrash album ever lml Im huge fan of Maiden and Metallica too.. But this one is the best thing ever for metal.
Early 90s was great man. Everybody was doing great records.
Rust in Peace
Fear of the Dark
Metallica
Painkiller
Use you illusions
Revenge
Cowboys from hell...and so many more
also so many great movies like Terminator 2,silence of the lambs, dances with wolves,Thelma and louise, ghost, point break, reservoir dogs and so many more
Amazing video games too the super Nintendo had just come out I think
Dude, this was the best reaction video I've seen EVER!
The greatest thrash album ever!! So glad you liked it man.
Jared Quirk did you know something called "Reign in fucking blood"?
Apolyon whack
bonded by blood holds that title my dude
Jared Quirk the most overrated thrash album ever.
Apolyon Rust in Peace and Master of Puppets > Reign in Blood
I keep waiting to see a cop do a check on your boy for looking like he's stroking out lol
This is the greatest Metal Album ever created.
Totally agree, bro lml
I have watched this video like 4 times and i dont get tired, its so funny xD

alphaenemy watching Rikki Rachman on a 13" tube t.v.

Marty is all that needs to be said about the leads.
That Metallica has never done something that rings even close.
Only bad thing about this album...it’s too good. lol.
Alex May the only way is down .
But you are a mod... 🤔
Best thrash album ever.
Caleb9000 hahaha looks like you've never heard of an album called Ride The Lightning 😂😂😂😂😂
Adrian Garcia ride the lightning is a great album!!!...but you can't beat Rust in peace
It's not thrash is power, thrash, heavy, speed, neoclassical.
Agree. Ride the lightning is a great album, but not better than this..
Its not said to start a fight jaja
Love both bands lml
Rust in peace is definitely better than Ride the lightning...
4:15 when you listen to the greatest Metal album of all time.
hahahahaha the reaction to Hangar 18, that was gif worthy
Classic Metal album right there, knew you would love it.
Get off me!!!
Omfg that was a pleasure to watch, this and countdown were my favs.thank you for brightening my day.
This album was so good u started crying!
I'm surprised he liked a Thrash album this much.
The Grim Dealer because this is thrash at its most refined and fully realized. Tight riffs played at breakneck speeds with real aggression. It’s gritty, but it’s a fully-formed idea.
same
The Grim Dealer i feel like if he likes this he would have liked “kill em all” if he would have reacted to it
This album is hard to fault in any way, though. It's such a brilliant piece of metal.
Simon Kill em All doesn't reach anywhere near the greatness of this album.
This is why this record is simply the greatest metal album ever recorded. Don't matter if you have an inexperienced pair of ears, this album deserves to be listened before dying. Its Megadeth's and thrash metal's magnum opus.
Great comment! Agree 100%
Megadeth's classic lineup as of this album:
Dave Mustaine - Lead vocals, rhythm guitar, lead guitar
David Ellefson - Bass guitar, backing vocals
Marty Friedman - Lead guitar, rhythm guitar
Nick Menza - Drums, backing vocals
This Album is the SHIT!
Dave Mustaine should watch this
I felt THE SAME exact way when I first heard the Tornado of Souls solo
To be honest, it feels the same way every time, it's inhumanly good
Marty Friedman sent YouYouYou!!! over the edge!
The solo in Tornado of Souls is probably the best moment in the history of music
Who would have thought that this song about his break up with his gf?
This is largely considered the most paramount technical thrash metal album of all time.
I don't disagree 🤷🏻♂️
That ladies and gentlemens, is Megadeth.
The most funny video from this channel Lol
The first one is St anger
yeah, but this one have a better soundtrack =P
Lucas Carneiro
:'D
ZkDog Bro, the frying pans tho💀😭
I can't wait till Countdown To Extinction and Dystopia! 2 AMAZING albums!
Although I'm preparing my ears for Risk.... UGH! lol
And that feeling is why I think Rust In Peace is the greatest metal album of all time. Full Stop. It's been within arms reach for decades and I get the same feeling every time I press play.

Greatest album ever recorded.. Period
Your reaction just made my week. That you had to pullover alone. Classic. No need to continue on that was Megadeth’s Masterpiece. It’s all down hill for them after this album.
Dylan Caldwell nah they have some really great stuff even after this album
But I agree this is their masterpiece
Trey a few songs here and there. But they caught lightning in a bottle on this album. Nothing Dave did after came close
I disagree , Rust my be the best but they next two a amazing in different ways
Matt Van Winkle we’ll see
If he reacts the same
12:49
That's how I felt the first time I heard that solo too. To me Marty is the greatest all time.
Even if you don't end up liking the majority of Megadeth, I'm glad you realize the awesomeness of this record.
jcrosato he’s gonna love them whatchu talking bout willis
I hope so
I thought he would like Countdown To Exctintion, Youthanasia and Cryptic Writings for the lack of thrash and the groove, but he did enjoy the thrash stuff here the most. So now I don't know.
Fuck I love this guy, this guy EXPERIENCES music, he fucking throws himself head-first and drowns in it.
What an electrifying reaction to music lol. I had to sub for the sexy face
Man I sure hope Dave Mustaine sees this!
Cee Dub Vee Haha ... no! I just think Dave would get a kick out of this!

MEGADETH JUST KICKED MY ASS! That should be on the back of a Megadeth TShirt!
Imagine being there in 1990 when this, painkiller, and cowboys from hell all came out.

Warming up to some of the thrash rhythms I see. Sweet.
The remasterered Take No Prisoners-CRAP, try the original much much better. The musics good its the re-done vocals that ruin it. Fuck Spotify.
it stays this good until '99
aiden miller He should do sayler lol
It’s good again in 2009 and 2016
not really
