Playing-wise, Metallica doesn't come close, but their lyrics and topics are very powerful. Both albums are masterpieces. (both bands are like very chill pop music compared to some black metal bands)

Dave Mustain was the orriginal lead guitar player for Mettalica. After he was kicked out he formed Megadeth with the bass player David Ellifson in 1983.
You should react to the entire Rust in Peace album (the original recording, not the remastered version). This is the first song off of the album, so you already kind of started it. 🤷♂️
The guitarist from lamb of god said that negadeth brought jazz to thrash metal and id say thats a very accurate statement. They brought a level of complexity to thrash tbat really wasnt seen before. Maybe other than when he played guitar for metallica on their first album haha
no man reduced Dave to just a @lead singer of megadeth@ ever😀 maaan Dave IS megadeth. this band is his ego project to prove to metallica that he can actually live without them. and imo megadeth are waaaay better

Bro, mine is the most hipster guitar ever. P90 pickups and, of course, it had to be Thinline so I had the F hole. The only thing missing is a distressed look so it doesn't look so new and tobacco bursty haha. I may actually eventually have it professionally "relic'd" to give it the old look
