I have just bought a 2004 Audi A3 8p with the Bose system. I've ordered a nice Alpine double din unit (ILX-W690D). I also ordered this adapter CT20AU09.
Do I also need the 'Bose' adapter as well as this for the rear speakers to work?

You'll have 1 plug that goes into the canbus unit, and the other white connectors go onto the head unit

Thanks for the video. Got this for my 2007 Audi A3 with the non-Bose system. Everything works, rear speakers and all. But when I pushed the unit in, found out the bracket does not click in. It literally does not fit the slots for the original radio. Did you have this issue? The video shows the unit working, but it isn't pushed all the way in. Thanks in advance!
I'm having the same issue
Use some of that automotive foam tape and line it along the bottom it'll help hold it in
I took a file to the plastic & kinda filed the back edge in at about 45° , don't go mental filing though just file & try.. took about 5 minutes of filing & I did bend the top clips out a little too.. perfect fit (my cars a 2010 a3 8p7 convertible - same fitting)..

Usually it's the opposite way around where the noise only comes out the front and then the adapter fixes it so the rear then work aswell

I have a stupid question. Can you use TH-cam music app on these rcd360/330? Or just Spotify
On the rcd330 you can't you can only use what you have on carplay or Bluetooth on the radio. With the unit I show in the video you can download any music app you want so Spotify, TH-cam music or whatever else you want to use
Any reason the steering wheel controls won’t work even when the box is plugged in?
Make sure it's plugged in properly. Unclip it and push it in again sometimes it doesn't seat completely perfectly and then the pins don't touch. And if that still doesn't work have a check in the settings to make sure it's set for the right vehicle

Make sure all the plugs are put in properly and the unit will only turn on when ignition is on
How do you connect the steering up with the radio mine won’t connect up
Make sure the canbus unit is connected properly
How long does it take to install it I don’t really have much experience is it an easy install?
Depends on the car but around 30 mins - 1 hr if it's your first time

This was an aftermarket radio that came with the car. The guy didn't have the keys for it🤦🏽♂️
Everything working but the screen won’t pop into place it just kind of sits there and is ready to fall out ?
Bit fiddly you gotta find the right spot and it'll sit in it's just a tight fit
It’s fit in snug all the way but it can still be pulled out easy without the keys
Just adjust the little clips on the side to get it to clip in better

What if you don’t have any steering wheel buttons, do u have to still connect that decoder?
Yeah still connect it it allows the unit to communicate with the car
Do you know if the optical parking system still show on this screen i.e. parking sensors?
The sensors don't show on the screen but they all still work and you still get the sound + the camera will work aswell

Yeah you'll need the adapter. Some cars without Bose still need the adapter it just depends which modules are in the car

Yeah it has apple carplay aswell. I used an android because that's the phone I had on me at the time

Unfortunately, I have not received a response, and my order issue remains unresolved for over a month now. Initially, the delay was attributed to my email being in the junk folder, but I am unsure of the reason for the current delay.
