- Three reasons not to buy a Bajaj Pulsar N250.
First, we keep feeling like it isn't pulsar-y enough. If that sense of thrill and excitement is important to you, you may not find the N250 to your liking. This is a feeling, and therefore subjective, so you must take a test ride to be able to decide for yourself.
Second, Bajaj doesn't like to iterate their styling to offer differentiation across bikes and that means when a N160 pulls up next to you in traffic, it'll look almost exactly the same as your Pulsar N250. And outside of wrapping or painting, there's almost no way for you to gain the feeling of premium that comes from spending more money and having more performance.
Third, when you're taking the test ride, focus on the riding position. The biggest difference between the F and the N is the handlebar position and you will find one of the two more to your liking. And many who prefer the F's easier riding position may have to accept that fairing design in the process.

Even 2nd reason is shitty. Literally KTM Duke 390,250,200,125 all look similar. Yet it's appreciated but if Bajaj does it then it gets backlash.
I own N250 dual channel and yes its not as pulsary but I am good coz it has a soul and its super smooth engine 😙 is just awesome

I own a N250, and of course it hurts every time whenever I pass by any N160 and my friends ask is that not the same bike 🤧😂.
Even Duke 125 and 390 owner will be facing the same.

This is the reason i went for N160. 😂 Offcourse N250 has more performance but rest all are the same. even the tyre sizes are the same. Now I'm worrying that someday bajaj will definitely launch N125 😂😂😂

I recently got this bike! I paid 1lac 86K for this! And trust me! This is worth every penny!
The exhaust attracts attention and it is the difference between 160 and 250!
The pickup is amazing!
Cons: it gets dirty very easily and the tank heats up a bit!

@@Deepak-jf9gz Bro it's more of a personal reason. I am more inclined towards naked bike and pulsars have an issue with them, with time the vibration in the faring increases and that causes some weird sounds. F250 is good too but N250 gives a better all over look and the top speed of f250 is 1-2 kmph more which is a negligible difference.

Same can be said for duke 250 and the 390. Both look the same. Why do you absolutely love yours?
In the search of a refined high quality bike, bajaj made a suzuki pulsar. I own one and it actually feels like a Japanese bike in terms of refinement and parts quality. Used to own an ntorq before i switched to my pulsar, still miss that thrill a little bit😢
If u miss a scooty driving a bike, it speaks a lot about bike

@@hiteshadhikari don't get me wrong. Both have their own purpose. But ntorq is just a really good scooter and each time i go back to it i feel good but also feel bad because it now feels very slow compared to my pulsar. The pulsar is very fun to ride, but it's no pulsar feel, more like a yamaha fz25.

bajaj tried to do something different and they kind of succeeded...
For me only Reason 1 looks valid.
For that Pulsary feel you now need either NS200 or the Duke offerings from Bajaj.
I like Naked variants of any bikes so Reason 3 is a moot point.
Now coming for other comments about how Shumi likes only RE or none of the bikes are perfect, this is my answer to them.
All bikes have reasons to buy them and reasons to not buy them and the format of videos is such that it is a series which covers both.
Second, From what I have seen, Shumi prefers Duke series of bikes and you can just infer it from how his face lights up each time he talks about Duke 390. And also by how he explicitly says he prefers that bike in that price range in India. So, hes pretty upfront.
And he is pretty straight forward about which bike goes for which type of people.
The only problem i have is that they are short on time and cant review enough bike with respect to this channel. I guess he was already reviewing bikes in another channel but for me I came to know of him only in this channel. So I dont see many bikes like Jawa or Yezdi or so here, atleast in the current year.
That way i feel it is skewed. But, i am sure its a time and resourcing issue rather than any crooked biasing. But, hey i may be wrong as i dont know what goes behind the videos and i dont know Shumi personally.
So, people dont complain.

All bikes have disadvantages, I don't why some guys cant accept this fact. He also has series about positive sides of each bike. Go watch it if you are so salty
The reason mentioned here are subjective. Depends upon individual feeling. He made this video unnecessarily. Negative points should include any engine or vibration or any mechanical issues.

Very well said in terms of the design element.
I took a test ride of both. F250 felt slightly more upmarket with the half fairing. Also, the ergonomics are definitely better. Especially, the mirror being on the fairing and slightly more forward positioned, you are required to move your eyes less to spot what's behind

Shumi I really like your videos but i do think you are a bit prejudiced against the F250. I think it's important to consider that in that price bracket, it's actually one of the best value you can get. I know you say value for money cannot make the decision but in all honesty it is a huge factor to all Indian buyers especially. I own one and I'm very happy with the bike. Love the content on the channel but would really like to see a little more attention towards the 2024 F250!

N160 does fine job at commuting... pulsar with 250cc should be fully fared and Extended version of iconic RS200

Hi @itslegitskidop8505! These shorts are meant to give you a holistic picture of what to expect when you buy that vehicle. So, if these aren't concerning enough to deter you from buying the N250, we've done that well.

Regarding point 1- While the point is somewhat valid, but I think Bajaj is making it clear that the N series is more of a commuter naked while NS is the one which is tuned as a Sporty Naked Commuter bikes. So, you can always get that Pulsar vibe if you go for NS series.
And regarding point 2, I don't care what anyone thinks or judges me of my bike, the premium I am paying is for the performance and that's where I will judge the N160 and N250. (Especially considering that this premium price is also under 2 Lakhs, its not like I am paying over 10 lakhs for a Ducati and a 3 lakhs Apache stands next to me which looks kinda same)

N 250 fells like a big FZ, yes its smooth but why buy bajaj pulsar if smoothness is the main USP? N250 doesn't comes close to the trill of top end performance even of my 2017 pulsar 180dtsi provides that. Bajaj Made a huge mistake.

Why this channel trying to say all negative about N 160 it is a fabulous bike in real world with sporty design good mileage decent power for day to day usage superb night ride because of its projector headlight but this channel never pointed it out 👎🏻
Only reason that bike receives hate is, N250 being superior resembles it and takes away the premium from owners, N160 also lags a lot in initial torque as considered to its competitors, in terms of refinement it doesn't carry down N250's legacy.
Never underestimate ns200 in these situations
Bajaj made bold decision in the design of n250 and also they hit their n250 sale down by making same bike n160,

when NS200 came.. the design wasn't pulsar-y its the same case now... it's difficult to accept the newer design currently..it will take time... the existence of NS is still the reason pulsar fans are not buying N series easily...

250s have been so successful that Bajaj had to bring back Real Pulsar 220.
Who want rough non smooth engine like f220 today ? When it is a same series like N160 and N250 then it will have a similar in design but only have different engine . Last one is not a valid point .
Probably no one. That's why it isn't a recommendation. The question asked in the video is, is the N250 as good as the 220F was when it launched? So far, we think no.
As for the styling, we get that not everyone minds that, but we try to be thorough and there are people who genuinely object to having two different motorcycles at two different prices looking similar.
