- How to use a mushroom plug tire gun repair kit. This kit is designed for tubeless tires and it is generally used as a temporary repair. With this kit, the plastic ‘lead’ remains inside the tire and can be removed when you are having the tire removed and patched internally at a tire shop. I am only demonstrating how to use the repair kit. I am not endorsing or recommending the use of the kit as a replacement for a professional or permanent tire repair. Years ago I worked in a garage that had one of these puncture repair kits. No one used it and no one knew how to use it. We used the rope style plugs with glue. I remember looking at the mushroom plugs and wondering how they were used with the kit. Thanks for posting.

Hi, Sorry if you already covered this in another video. I have a
Tire that is damaged on the shoulder. Not the Side wall. Butt it is On the edge of the tread Where there are no steel belts. The tire shop discount tire is not Alowed to repair it per policy. For their own liability purposes. Do you know of a repair product or procedure that I can use on my own to fix it since the tire is good otherwise? Also, is there anything that can be done about cracking? Cracking from sun exposure
The general opinion is that if there's damage to the shoulder or side wall, the tire should be replaced. I think the same goes for cracked tires.
Oh okay so they all must rely on the steel belts to work effectively. Thank you. So there is nothing that can chemically fill rubber holes and bond it like new. Hhmmm. What about if I add some steel mesh and use super glue with baking soda? Lol. Ty!

Hello, I would only use it as a temporary repair to get to a tire shop and have it patched from the inside. I wouldn't use it as a permanent repair.

and u need to carry a screwdriver , a plier , and a knife . without those u cant repair the tire?

Too much time wasted. Just use the screw type repair kit. Need only a philips head screwdriver.
If a lady needs to fix a puncture in a hurry, that is just not going to work, it needs to be redesigned for ease of use, now there's a challenge for you?
