It’s finally here!! Good luck with the tuning process, hope everything goes well. Once you get to the E30 ethanol blend revisions you will really feel it kick
I’m running 27won turbo, so if you’re going to thrash your car all the time. It’s recommended that you change your CVT oil every 1-2000miles. Some people could run CVT oil cooler
27won has a high failure rate on the W1 turbo, so I didn’t want that. PRL turbo kit would have best but it’s not available anymore. Rv6 journal bearing was out for a long time, so when the release of the new ball bearing came out, I did a lot of research into it. 400rpm quicker spool time, better top end power + better reliability due to being a ball bearing was all very good characteristics. Not to mention multiple CVT owners in the official rv6 CivicX forum already got it and posted about it, so that’s why I got it as well.
@BlazeFK7 you got a point I was surprised you didn't chose VTT I heard they are highly reliable too and holll up what's your username on Civicx👀 I'm usually posting there
@@BootlegBill498 they are a cheaper option as well, but ultimately a ball bearing has more characteristics that I wanted. My CivicX username is YellowShinobi77
Get ready to run out of fuel once you're on the E30 revisions. Should look into grabbing a Si Intake cam to give you a little more head room on the fueling.
@@nicksname26 I never got it dynoed, but people with similar setups on the cvt got around 300-310whp. As for torque, I was guessing around 270wtq. It was a custom tune by Derek Robinson on Ktuner. Either device would work fine!

I can’t wait!!
Great update on the build hope the engine holds up great
Thanks! More videos will come out with the turbo in the future!
Cvt wont though, always get a manual.

Why did you chose that turbo specifically? And not the non bearing one? I been eyeing it too for my 21 civic hatchback sport touring CVT

Want to hear this turbo from outside and cabin. This is one of the turbos i’m eyeing on.
Once I get my exhaust leak fixed this weekend + get some revisions back from D.Rob, I’ll post some clips!
@@sapphire_m340 Definitely waiting to see more.

I’ll consider doing that when I do head studs in the future!
How much power and tq did you end up getting? Also what kinda tune? Just the ktuner? Would hondata work just as good?

Good luck with everything. Hope you enjoy it.
Thank you for all of your work on CivicX! Inspired me as a fellow CVT owner to go big turbo!
Sheeeshhh the size difference was rad to see, thanks for showing that.
No problem!
Does the spool sound better on the rv6 Vs the stock?
It’s a lot quieter in my opinion, I kinda preferred my stock one LOL! But if the rv6 was louder then rv6>>
@@sapphire_m340 okay thanks, was considering the prl
