      its ECVT, its the best and powerful transmission, without it car only powers 70hp.

      With regenerative braking and cruising, by the time he’s back down to 25, the battery should be fully charged. Assuming he efficiently slowed down.

      @@eliaswilliams6102 Yep hybrid battery charges fast. I drive energi, tried complete recharge from 0 while rolling down from mountain, took over 20 mins to fully recharge

    You have instant power from the electricity and then no break in power from the CVT not having to shift gears
    Not hard to understand why these leave the base 4 bangers behind

      The battery meter doesn't really accurately tell you how much of a charge it really has tbh. I have had my car do a lot of EV acceleration before and it was showing it as almost empty. It's a 1.5 kw battery pack. Teslas have a 60kw pack. You can do 2+ miles on EV only in city driving if the battery is full.

    Why did the battery drain like that?

    • @specialopsdave
      @specialopsdave ปีที่แล้ว +4

      When you give it full throttle, it uses the e-motor as hard as possible too, and just like in a standard EV, it really drains the battery

    • @specialopsdave

      It doesn't do anything in this scenario. "L" is simply telling the computer to not let revs fall under no load, for engine braking.

      They can be slow, quick, or fast. Depends on tires, maintenance, and charge on the battery. I have owned a few 400+ horsepower cars in addition to several 300 horsepower V6s and several turbo four cylinder cars. The fusion hybrid is not a slow vehicle. Especially if you turn traction off and know how to accelerate it without just spinning the wheels. Recently I thought my fusion was quick, until I had the radiator changed and holy hell is the hybrid twice as fast now like when I bought it. So it depends.
