I’ve learned so much from you, I can’t thank you enough! I was given Satsumas in abundance for free and used your mandarin orange marmalade to make about 60 half pints! I’ve used a bunch of your other recipes too over the last three years. I rarely comment but wanted to let you know how much of a difference you make to all of us in so many ways! You’re the best!
I’m 76 years old and started canning when I was about your age. You’ve come to the right place to learn so much about safe and delicious canning and preparedness. Welcome!
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I haven't been watching Canuary videos daily as they come out as I have for the past few years. This weekend I'm doing some binge watching. Thank you for hosting this colab again this year Leisa.
I got my 23 qt. PRESTO PRESSURE CANNER IN JULY 2019 as an early birthday gift to myself.Much reading and watching Leisa and a few other canners on Yu Tube, learned to safely pressure can at the tender age of 76. I started with ugly chicken and have not looked back. Thank you Leisa and all who have been a part of my "continuing education". Now in my 80's I am passing along this knowledge to my friends and neighbors. It has been a blast!
@@cathleenthompson9010 just used a pint of ugly chicken to make chicken and dumplings. So nice to open a jar of home canned chicken versus a can bought from the store. My husband says it tastes so much better and the texture is so much nicer too. Thank you Leisa for showing us how to can ugly chicken and roast beef.
Pork is one of my favorite proteins to can it’s always a good reminder to check the pantry shelves and make sure you have enough. Thank you Leisa for kicking this off.😊
This is my second year. I can't think of a better way to start the New Year! I love all the things I learned last year. I'm 69 years old and love learning new things in the canning world, only safe methods for me. Thanks for all you do Leisa for this community.
When I purchased my meat this year I told the processor that I was going to be canning some of it and he cut it so it’s ready to can. Such a time saver. This is my second Canuary. I have been looking forward to this for over a month. Thank you for putting this together.
Canuary....Love this time of year, one of my favorite seasons. Thank you for doing this every year, even without the prizes I would watch all the videos and what a great recipe to start it all off!
I am not just a Canuary newby but also new to your channel and a new member to your site. I'm looking forward to learning LOTS this month from everyone!
Thank you Leisa. This is my first year watching Canuary. I have never been able to catch it. So glad that I saw all of the videos of people talking about it. I'm going to watch the Canuary videos from years before as well. I'm new to canning and this is a whole new chapter for me. I have been WB canning lately. Soon I will start PC as well. Can't wait to see the other collaborations. We are meaters here too. This looks like a meal that will stick to your ribs.
Canuary is what gave me the courage to finally stop gathering information and start canning. I have been looking for a recipe for a meal in a jar with pork. Thanks for both.
OMG!! Canuary...this is not a drill! This is my 4th canuary and I always learn so much from all of the channels participating. Thank you for planning and managing this collab every year!
This is my first canary. I have been a follower of your channel for over half of the year. My Grandma had cancer explode on her and cut her up really bad! My mom saw it happen and was afraid to use a canner. She cold packed everything. I have been whating a lot of your video but I would like to learn how to do it 24:31
This is actually my very first canary. My husband just bought a pressure canner and jars, etc for Christmas. Although I have only done water bath canning, I know pressure canning is totally different. Especially in the aspect of knowing what I can and can't pressure can. He also got me the Ball ( Bible) book of home canning and preserving so I'm VERY EXCITED to start this journey.
What Lovely Christmas gifts! I too was very nervous to start but once in there is no stopping! Hubby says I‘ve even mastered canning the “squeal”! Good luck! You’ve come to a great place to start!
I first discovered Canuary last year and fell in love with it. Is it bad that I had a countdown to this year’s Canuary since February of last year lol. I’m so excited to learn all the new canning recipes this year. Thank you Leisa and all those who not only submit videos for this collaboration but all those who helped in the background.
My year was difficult also. I understand, and I hope you put some jars on your pantry shelves. Your description of a simple joy hits the nail on the head! Hands and mind busy producing something beautiful.
@@SandrinaN so sorry to hear that you had a very difficult year. Prayers that your circumstances change for the better. Keep your chin up. May Jesus lighten your load.
This is my very first Canuary! I only got into canning this past year. My husband gifted me a pressure canner for Christmas (yay!) so I am thoroughly enjoying learning everything! I'm super excited to be here. It looks delicious!
I Love Canuary!!! I started pressure canning in early 2022 after watching that years Canuary!! Leisa and the other contributors have been my inspiration and teachers throughout my journey!! I also bought as many books as i could find! Thank you, Leisa and ForJars, for sponsoring this series every year!!!
My 2nd Canuary. After 40 years of water bath. Thanks to you and my sister in law I gave pressure canning a try. I was successful in my 1st season of pressure canning. THANKS
I'm a Canuary veteran. I look forward to this every year. I appreciate you taking this on each year and all the others that participate as well. Looking forward to some new canning ideas again this year!
Been on this journey with so many for so many years. I left the internet altogether for a few years. So many new “faces”. I do miss so many, but life do what it do. I was gifted 3 bushels of apples so I kinda know what the bulk of my canuary is looking like. Dehydrating, canning, fermenting, pretty much all the mediums! Blessed and tired already! Happy Canuary y’all from the only Jew on the mountain in southern WV! 😂
Thanks for doing this again. This is year 2 for me. I am so excited to get back to winter canning. And glad to see ForJars sponsoring again! Gave my canning daughter quite a few ForJars lids for her birthday and she was so excited!
Hello Canuary, I missed you my friend. Looking forward to all the collaborations. Thank you all for participating. Thank you Suttons daze & forjars! Happy Canuary 😊
Looks scrumptious. All this needs is some fried cornbread and you have a complete meal. Thank you Leisa. We all appreciate Canuary and love the people lined up.
I really love that you have brought back the 1 1/2 pint jars. These are really a great step up from the pint but not so overwhelming like a quart. Thank you once again hosting this great Collab.
I am so excited for this year's Canuary!! This is a great recipe. From time to time, I get boston butts from my grocery store for 99 cents a pound and always buy a few. It is cheaper than beef and often cheaper than chicken and goes a long way and versatile. I have saved alot of the bones and made pork broth. So I think I can probably use the pork broth for this as well that I already have canned. Even though this is a house of 2, When we eat soup or stew for our meal, we eat quite a bit for a serving, going back for seconds. I think for my situation, quarts would be better and I have more quart jars than others. Thank you for providing the option for the quart processing.:)
I have been watching Canuary for a few years now, and I thoroughly enjoy all the videos and filling my shelves. I can't wait to put this one on my shelf.❤❤❤
This is my second year following the Canuary experience. Thank you for organizing and sponsoring this annual collaboration. I’ve learned so much and appreciate the emphasis placed on safety first regarding prepping ingredients and canning practices. I look forward to trying this meal in a jar recipe. Thanks also to For Jars for co-sponsoring Canuary!
This is my second year of watching all these wonderful recipes and videos. Many were kept in my record of things to do this year like I did last year. Thank you so much for getting all these people together for your project.
My child loves peeling potatoes! She’s starting to show more interest in helping me in the kitchen. We have a lot to learn but she’s still young. So excited to can with her
#Canuary is what gets me through the winter while I am planning my garden. I get to clean out my freezer with all the things I saved over the harvest season “can later”. Happy Canuary everyone!

I am new to Canuary. Thank you, so much, for doing this. I love those 24oz jars. I drove to a small town, nearby, to get 10 cases of those jars. I had a couple of cases in use. I wasn’t canning yet, but I store chia seeds and different herbs in them. My storage building was broken into and they got my juicers, jars and everything I was wanting to keep. I am so glad they are available again. I want to thank you for the way you present your videos. You talk and I often find that you answer my question, as soon as it comes to mind. I don’t even have to ask the question. Lol.
This is my third year Watching Canuary. I love it! Thank you so much Sutton's Daze and all the other channels for taking the time to teach us proper canning techniques.
I am happy many of last years people who are still here again as well as some I never watched before yet. Thank you for another year of enjoyable of watching the videos.
I love seeing a good canning video. I am a self taught canner thanks to all you guys! Watching your videos and others has taught me such good useful skills.
I believe this is the 3rd year of watching Canuary! It is definitely one of my favorite collaborations! Your pork stew sounds and looks like a winner. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for hosting Canuary. I have taken a break (about 25 years) from canning. I want to get back into it again so I am doing my research and love that you and all of your participants are following Safe Canning Practices. There are many out there with "sketchy" recipes and practices, so I am happy to follow you and your friends. I have followed you for awhile and now I have many other channels to add to my subscriptions. Keep up the great work and keep the recipes coming.
I am a third year Canuary messy canner! It's so great to watch these videos because I learn so much from you and the other Canuary participants. I love the Ugly meats as well. Thanks for your encouragement and support in my canning journey.
Thank you, Leisa for hosting another Canuary. I have been watching Canuary for several years now and look forward to it each year. Canuary has introduced me to some amazing content creators.
I’ve been following y’all starting Canuary 2023 I believe. It’s been an amazing journey and I’m learning so much! Happy Canuary everyone! Thanks Leisa and all of the amazing collaborators, who I’ve also follow many of them because I love learning new tricks!
Thank you for all you do to promote safe canning and healthy recipes as well as canuary each year. It's my 3rd year watching and I learn something new with each video. Love it!
Been watching you for years Leisa but this is the first comment I've ever left you. You and a few other TH-camrs gave me the courage to use my gifted All American canner (after owning it for several years) and now pressure canning is like second nature for me. Thank you! And thanks for all the tips, the delicious recipes, and for CANUARY! God Bless!
I’ve been a fan of Sutton’s Daze for 8 months but this is my first Canuary in real time ! And we’re eating out of the pantry all month and it’s been awesome. Thank you for explaining why you do things so that we can be safe in our process. I learned so much every time thank you!
This is my first Canuary. Started canning a couple of months ago after years of being afraid to try and have only really seen your videos so far. I’m looking forward to seeing the others too, but I love your videos because you take down the intimidation factor for newbies. This recipe looks absolutely delicious and I think I’m going to try it this week! I have a daughter that is afraid of anything that’s not store bought and at 13 she checks exp dates on the regular. So far she has LOVED everything of yours that I’ve canned and that makes a happy momma! Thank you!
Your pork stew looks delicious! I have watched your Canuary for over 5 years now. You inspired me to take that leap and learn canning especially during the pandemic. I now have a healthy pantry and stacking to the rafters. Family members don’t understand but in case of another disaster I will be able to get through it smoothly thanks to your channel. Love your channel
I think that this is my third Canuary now, I absolutely love all of the inspiration! I appreciate seeing you convert recipes to canning recipes and/or talking through how to make up your own canning recipes and ensure that they are safe. Thank you for hosting Canuary again this year!
Thanks Leisa for another Canuary! I know I'm not the only one who waits anxiously from the end of January until the beginning of following January. Thank you ForJars for being here for us another year!
Thanks for sponsoring Canuary again this year with Forjars. First time I’ve seen anyone use the pint and a half jars. Thanks for giving us different ways to use it.
Thank you for all your hard work in putting Canuary together and making sure all the collaborators adhere to SAFE canning recipes. Your pork stew looks delicious for these cold winter nights.
This is my 3rd Canuary and I couldn’t wait for January 1st. I have done many of the previous canning recipes and had great success! Thank you to all the collaborators for this valuable information!!!!
This is my second year watching canuary. I watched it last year with my dad. He passed in September but really enjoyed your videos and canuary. Thank you for this collaboration.
Woo hoo! It's Canuary again! This is my 4th year watching each day but have gone back over that time to the beginning!!! Dry white wine? Who knew! 1.5 pints would be perfect for us. Thank you once again for sponsoring it and putting this whole thing together. Xoxo
This is my First real Canuary... I have been a watcher for years, but this will be the first one where I try to can along. I thank you all for the wealth of knowledge you are sharing!!!
I've been binge watching all of the Canuary videos today. I love seeing other people that have the same passion for canning that I do. Keep up the good work!!!
This is my second year. I watched all of Canuary 2024. I got so many safe recipes all last year and I am expecting many more this year. Thank you for this solections of canning video.
This is my first Canuary, i’ve been really looking forward to this series. I am 71 years old and I canned many years ago with my young family, but took a break for several years and just started again in October. It’s been wonderful discovering all these new channels of preppers. I learned some new things that seem to be more emphasized than they were 20 or more years ago when I was canning. I’m very hyper vigilant about following safety guidelines, USDA and ball
I’ve been following Canuary for a few years now. It is the reason I bought my Presto 23 quart canner. I look forward to this every year. I look forward to trying this pork stew.
Hi Leisa. I've been with Canuary for several years. Love it & always learn something new. Yes at 74 years old I can still learn new things. LOL I'm not a fan of stew but hubby is. This size jar will be a perfect serving for him. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you LEISA for putting this collaboration together! I so enjoy watching you and all the others as each one shares their special recipes. I did make the pork stew but I’m waiting to open a jar. It looks so good!
Thanks Leisa for kicking this off. This is my second year. Looking forward to learning more about canning and the safety of canning to keep my family healthy.
The "Canuary's" are a great line-up of canning ideas and some changeup of seasonings. I can for my family and friends and always look for new ideas just to change things up a bit for everyone. I am hoping that this year I can get the grandkids more into helping can their favorites.
I've only ever canned pork loin for BBQ. This looks good and something I never would have thought of. Love Canuary and all the ideas it brings. Thank you Leisa for starting this...and to 4Jars for CO sponsoring!!!
I watched this the other day and got distracted and forgot to leave the comment. I love pork done anyway it can be done. That recipe looks delicious and the extra vegetables make it more nutritious. Thank you for the video!
I started watching during COVID. I had previously water bath canned only. It was your videos that taught me how to pressure can! I can’t thank you enough!! I don’t have quite the prep that you do - but I do pretty good and try to grow and preserve as much as I am able each year. I’m in Nebraska and we’ve been in a drought, so it’s been a little challenging - but I’m learning and improving each year!
This is my first full Canuary! I have seen and heard it mentioned on another channel i consistently watch. I dont own a pressure canner yet but can borrow one. I am wanting to start canning for my family. So far i have only water bath canned one project. This playlist and the years past is so wonderful for inspiration and motivation! Thank you for this content!
I LOVE Canuary!! This is my 3rd or 4th year in a row but I have also watched older videos. Thank you for choosing a unique recipe. I have been mainly an ingredient canner. Your channel is one of just a few that I totally trust. I decided late last year that I need to find some acceptable (to my husband) meals in a jar to start canning and this one definitely fits the bill!!
Happy Canuary Leisa and thanks again so much for hosting this collaboration. This is my third or forth year with ya, I'm so looking forward to seeing what everyone has to offer this year. As always another wonderful recipe.
I’ve been following Canuary for a few years. I love all the new ideas-never thought of a pork stew. Thanks for organizing & for the opportunity to win prizes!
Thank you Lisa for putting together the Canuary collab again this year. I have been canning for many years but I still learn so much from all the videos.
This is my 2nd Canuary & I love it. So far I've done steam canning with jam successfully. Hoping to build the confidence to try some pressure canning this month :) Thank you, Leisa for organizing this event again!
Thanks!

I have followed you for awhile and now I have many other channels to add to my subscriptions. Keep up the great work and keep the recipes coming.
Love watching all the canning videos to get new ideas. Been canning for 15 years now. Always learning something new.
Love it!
This is so timely! We processed two pigs this fall and the freeze is full with many pork roasts. So convenient to have this on my pantry shelves.
God Bless!
That’s wonderful to hear! I am so glad you finally got your All American canner up and running!
I’ve been a fan of Sutton’s Daze for 8 months but this is my first Canuary in real time ! And we’re eating out of the pantry all month and it’s been awesome. Thank you for explaining why you do things so that we can be safe in our process. I learned so much every time thank you!
That’s great, I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
Thank you!
There is nothing like cooking from scratch and having ready made meals on your pantry shelf! Looks amazing!
This looks so good perfect for a snowy day or rainy. Open up that jar and heated up on a woodstove looks fantastic. Thank you for sharing.
At my age time flies by, thinking 3rd year, loving watching all the videos, Thank you
Thanks Leisa for another Canuary!
Nothing beats the cold like a good stew.
Xoxo
Second time commenting. Just wanted you to know. I pressure can do this yesterday. Got 7 jars and my husband absolutely loved. It is a win-win.
Thank you! I've been watching your canuary series for several years now. Enjoy all of the different ideas for canning.
Hi Leisa. I've been with Canuary for several years. Love it & always learn something new. Yes at 74 years old I can still learn new things. LOL I'm not a fan of stew but hubby is. This size jar will be a perfect serving for him. Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad you found this useful!
This is my first Canuary and I’m excited ! Thank you for all that you do for this community.
I have been watching your show for about 5 years now and always learn something new.
My first canuary 71 year old female raised on farm till about 10 y😅ears old I love and adore you and Phil you taught me so much thank you
That is awesome!
I'm new at canning and loving it. This is my first year participating in Canuary. I love watching your videos. I have learned so much.
I think this is my third or fourth year of following Canuary. Thank you so much for continuing it. I really enjoy!
This is my second full Canuary! Thank you Lesa and all the participants for all your hard work!
I watched this the other day and got distracted and forgot to leave the comment. I love pork done anyway it can be done. That recipe looks delicious and the extra vegetables make it more nutritious. Thank you for the video!
Thank you for the video and having all the ladies joining in.
I am a big fan of Canuary and so glad it is that time of year once again. Thanks Suttons Daze and Forjars.
Pork Stew is a great addition to the pantry. You show such easy steps to this canned meal. Thanks !
Thank you Lisa for all your time and effort to make Canuary possible🥰
This is my 2nd Canuary & I love it. So far I've done steam canning with jam successfully. Hoping to build the confidence to try some pressure canning this month :) Thank you, Leisa for organizing this event again!
