You could make 4 sims who each live in a season themes house and then switch between households for each season so you are always at the right house in the right season!

Or with simrealist mod where ur sims can own multiple homes, just switch your family to different homes based on the season :) kinda like summer/vacation homes in real life!
Okay but this would be awesome for gameplay, have 4 families to swap between and because of neighborhood stories now it would be interesting to see what's changed since the last time you played them!!

My boss decorates his house for every season. His house is over 200 years old. He’s quite the decorator. Always in awe of how many decorations he puts up inside and out. It’s always amazing to see his pictures when he takes them.

I swear I've never seen the little saucer lamp in game! 😱 Love this build and the color scheme. Personally I love the use of the teal stove as I too usually use the same appliances in my build! It can be so hard to branch out.
One thing I just can't find is the mood lights, can't find them in debug or anywhere

To have the swing set in the front is actually very nice, because it’s accessible to neighbouring children as well. Especially if your child is swinging on it and any friends walk by.

28, 2 kids. Never paid for cable. Actually lived in my first apartment at 22 without internet for a year. Streaming and TH-cam keeps us happy. Also, just got cottage living so building so many little cottages, my son just requested an all blue one!
As a Texan, I feel you about how hot it is. I never get to wear cute autumnal outfits, cuz I'd sweat to death. And I don't watch "normal" TV either, because I hate commercials. I have a couple streaming services and TH-cam. I'm good.
But do you get ads on TH-cam? I have premium because I HATE ads. Ads and commercials are pretty much the same thing.
Fall is about the only time (except summer) I LOVE to live in Finland where you can see the season change! The weather turns chilly but not too cold and the colors are AMAZING! It smells so good and the evenings in candlelight when it slowly gets darker outside just seals the deal! My favorite season by far!
Finland fall colours are INSANE. I'm from Austria and I thought we had a pretty nice fall season but I went to Helsinki one October a couple of years ago and I have NEVER seen so many different coloured leaves, and they are so vibrant too! Soumenlinna was the prettiest place I have ever seen in my life.
I adore this build! I'm 100% gonna download it, and I may even put piles of leaves around the yard for my sims to play in for the true autumnal experience :)

It’s super entertaining and they’re great videos for watching while doing stuff! I watch this often when I’m playing sims and just listen to you! Super relaxing! ❤😊

Hey Simsie, one of my favorite details to do with terrain paint is putting some dirt under the swings. Depending on how light/heavy the dirt is can indicate time passage AND how often they're used!

My parents grew up in New England. When they moved to Florida to live with my grandparents my mom only lasted a year. She couldn't handle the lack of seasons and the heat and refused to stay any longer. I'm so glad we're finally seeing cooler temps and I can start turning my AC off and still be comfortable enough to sleep, so ready for Fall

I am literally in the making of an autumn/halloween themed house! Now I am not sure if this is good for inspiration or if I should watch it after I'm finished to not ruin my idea (and make me feel bad because hers is better lol)
I’m also extremely excited about fall and especially halloween like I haven’t celebrated or done anything for halloween since 2019 and I’m just really in the mood for it way more than usual.
Before I retired from teaching to have kids, my Mum (also a teacher) and I used to come over to Florida for 6 weeks in the summer. We loved the regular thunderstorms and how predictable the weather was. We spent so much time in the pool and shopping. It was wonderful. Or driving down to the gulf to sit in the water. Came home to the UK to damp, grey and drizzle. Funny, isn't it. Mind you, it was 40 degrees C here this summer, which is too hot. None of us have air con.
The heat waves you were having over there were so intense! I was so grateful for my air conditioning, it was hot here too (I'm in Iowa) but we're set up to handle it so as long as we don't spend too much time outside it's not too bad.

As for cable, nope! I'm a millennial who never got cable. I never watched a lot of TV so I was indifferent to it anyway. The only people I know who still have cable just kinda keep it out of habit and use it as background noise!
This house is my entire vibe honestly 😂 as for cable I’m like 3 months younger than you and my family and I got rid of cable when I was around 11. We got it on and off for a few years after that, but I never got it after moving out. there’s just no point with all the streaming platforms out there
When you were placing rugs in the living room you stacked them and that gave it a really cool design and is a pretty cool idea to get some variety in the rugs

Summer is almost over! As much as I love summer, I am ready for the fall- hopefully cooler weather (though knowing NC that's not the case), Halloween, and spending time with families as we get ready for the holidays!

I don't watch TV... I don't even have Netflix or any other subscriptions (other than Amazon Prime, but I use that primarily for Twitch purposes). If I'm watching something, it's usually a stream or TH-cam. I have a Google Chromecast for my TV so I can just throw TH-cam up on my TV.

Dreamlight Valley is literally so fun! I’ve been playing it for a couple days and I’m obsessed! Also when it comes to cable, my husband worked as a cable guy for the first 8 years of our marriage so we got cable for free and it was nice but once he quit we cancelled it and hardly ever miss it.
So cute. I live in California, so it is not as humid in Florida but there isn't much fall or winter. I giggled about the stove because I use that stove all the time and change the color to that blue or the minty color.

This build is so cozy and comforting Kayla, perfect for cold nights and early mornings! (brit here) Interesting fact here, but in the UK you annually pay for a TV license which covers our international news and TV, the BBC (British broadcasting channel) and at least for my family we mainly pay for our TV license and cable for the news (but also some of the shows that my family religiously watches).

2) I had to search up what cable TV is as I've only heard it mentioned by my American friends. Turns out we do still have cable! But as we be UK peeps, we also pay for a TV licence (legal permission to "to install or use television equipment to watch or record TV programmes, as they are being shown on TV or live on online TV service, and to download or watch BBC programmes on demand, including catch up TV, on BBC iPlayer.") AND streaming services.
This is so funny, I use that stove a lot! I think it's related to where I live, here we associate the teal or funky coloured stoves and fridges with country/vacation houses and it really makes me happy/nostalgic.

Also I moved out when I was 18 and used just TH-cam as entertainment for several years, not even streaming services! Even after I got a tv, I balked at the cost of even basic cable in Canada, it’s ridiculous 😅 I get plenty of entertainment out of TH-cam and a couple basic streaming services, for only about $25 per month which is far better!

Kayla, as I was watching this, my 17-year old cat, Callie, came over and sat on me and started to purr. She’s not feeling the best right now…has slowed down a lot today and I know her time is limited. But she seemed to respond to your voice and I wanted to thank you for giving my old cat comfort. She’s one I found at a truck stop/gas station a couple of years ago. Nobody claimed her and being FIV+, I couldn’t find someone that wanted to adopt her, so she became a member of our household. Thanks again for making her feel a little better. 🙂😽
Summers are just getting hotter and hotter here in Canada. Summer used to be my favourite season because it rains all winter here but now it’s fall and spring.

I will say, last year, we moved from a place that had actual seasons (leaf changing and occasional snow) to central Florida. The bright happy constant summer sunshine has done a number on my psyche that craves sweaters, dead leaves, pumpkins, and cozy drinks with a horror movie around this time of year. I miss Fall.

You should do a season themed save so that when it winter you have a winter themed baby and when it is spring you have a spring themed baby ect

In the UK cable is like fancy tv with extra channels that the rich kids all had - I’ve only ever had the free TV (which is free, but we have to pay for a tv license here so it’s not like completely free, cheaper than Netflix though!)
