Simsie you should try a “realism” house renovation, say you want to move the sink, you’d have to deduct extra money because of “changing the water pipes” i think it could be really fun especially since you just renovated a house irl!!
I did a rag to riches challenge like that. Want to add on to the house? Deduct 500 for the contractors and whatever else you might have to pay for irl like building permits
She did something kinda similar on one of her fixer uppers where she couldn't just expand the house by one tile and she put more money towards the kitchen because most people do that.

I agree :) i'm not hard of hearing, but I'm neurodivergent and have auditory processing issues, so sometimes if there's a lot going on I have trouble watching things without captions, so having real ones and not just the auto-generated ones is so nice.

I love the sunshine coming in on you! As long as it doesn't bother your eyes. The light kind of makes your face glow in a good way! I'm loving the clutter in the game. Honestly seeing homes always looking like they exist as if the Sims live in showcase staged spaces has annoyed me. One of the best parts of playing Sims is all their quirky individual personalities. Yeah I wish Sims *generated* clutter honestly. Like your sims would just put things in places and you could just remove it or change it if you want. It'd be fun to create a house that's like perfectly new then over time your Sim just like comes home with something and puts it on a shelf. Have clutter generate based on traits too. So like a slob would leave clothes that need cleaned up and just leave things laying everywhere.
The clutter makes SUCH a difference in visual storytelling now. I love the kit, I've been downloading CC clutter for ages and now I am scaling back to use game items.

I build a fancy werewolf home, but decided I wanted some of the home taken over by plant life, I used the vampire wall vines to cover the open door way and my sims still walk through it. It’s nice to know that they’ll walk through almost everything to get to where they’re going lol
I love the new clutter kit because now the retail store I have in the game looks so much more like a store, I finally was able to make a proper jewelry section with the watches etc, an actual exercise equipment soooooo nice
If you're using mods I may recommend you the Better BuildBuy mod. It's originally made to organize debug and live edit objects but it also got a few cool little feature, like ability to use build cheats without actually enter them, edit lights in build mode AND split kits filter.

I’ve been having a GREAT time with the everyday clutter kit! So far there is really no place you can’t use it which makes it the most versatile kit ea has ever released. Yesterday I used it to decorate a house, today I used it to decorate a spa and it would go equally well in a gym both professional and a home gym! I can also see it working well in a dorm room, an office, a study or a retail shop! I am just over the moon about this kit, best 5 bucks I’ve ever spent on the sims!
i hate kits but these last two kits have been such an amazing refresh. plumbella did such an amazing job with the pastel kit. & the clutter kit is FANTASTIC.
Love the idea that the grandkids are spending the summer or the school year with their grandpas while their parents are away, maybe on business, or visiting distant family? Like the granddads have these rooms set up for the kids year round but they're only used seasonally, but every single time all of them are really happy to be spending time together.
These new packs are the best! They added so many items that I've wanted to be in the game. The gym clutter, phone with keys combo, and mugs are *chefs kiss*.
Super cute house I can totally see grandparents and kids of all ages in here. Maybe the grandparents gave up their balcony bedroom because they're those kinds of grandparents that just give everything to their grandkids because they love them so much and they feel bad that the parents aren't in the picture anymore.
Oh Simsie you are tempting me 😆! I don't "design" sims but I have a strong desire to make that family you didn't. I am see two grandpas, a teen girl, and (since they are fresh out of CAS) a set of triplets. I sort of want to give the space room to girls and the room upstairs to a little boy. Its the opposite of where my brain goes by default, but if you were to look at my Not So Berry pink boys bedroom you wouldn't say "boy" either so... I'm always up for a little retraining of those neural synapses 😊! I don't have the clutter kit and don't intend to buy it so I'll be missing some stuff, but that's the beauty of clutter, its not something you "miss" in the same way as big stuff. I'm curious if the game will try to replace it like it does with those bigger items. Really like this one!

This might be a bit of a weird comment but i’ve been feeling insecure about my appearance lately and i’ve been flooded with videos about how fake influencers are and.. idk something about the way you were talking about the lighting just spoke to me. It’s a strange connection I know but it was on my mind. Honestly it hasn’t left my mind in days😅. Anyways the way that you just left all that about the lighting in and how you felt like you didn’t look good was just.. refreshing I guess. You’ve always seemed so transparent with your content. The way you talk about your friends and your anxiety and tell us about your day on stream is just very meaningful at a time when everything feels like a performance for others. Quietly whispers about stage lighting and then blackout curtains over the windows so that you always have the perfect lighting and can be manually adjusted as needed
For the IRL window : Maybe not blinds, but thicker curtains. Sheer curtains just don't cut it. Those are great privacy curtains, but can't reduce the light coming through. Both grandparents obviously completed the fishing aspiration, and pursued the fisher career past level 10. I often add a basement only to contain fitness equipment, the microscope, a grand piano and a DJ station. Also, make it tall walls to fit the climbing wall.
You should think about getting some blackout curtains that you can put over your other curtains and you can pull them closed when you record and then you can pull them apart and open them up for lighting when you're not. I do that sometimes to keep the light out of my room so that I don't get streaks on my screen.
I love watching your videos! Could you possibly do a build where you use all the packs/kits etc plus the hidden objects /debug? Maybe a home for two parents, 1 baby, one toddler, one child, one teen, and two grandparents? Just a home that looks very lived in and perfect for each life stage.

The thing with the keys in the kitchen, my parents have a key rack in the kitchen, since the kitchen is closer to back door that goes to the drive way.

Usually I just make rooms how I'd like to see them, then try to join them together to form a house, which creates awkward intermediary rooms and an exterior that doesn't really make sense. I envy people who can build the exterior first and be satisfied with what they can create within the preexisting boundaries of that exterior.

I’ve been having a GREAT time with the everyday clutter kit! So far there is really no place you can’t use it which makes it the most versatile kit ea has ever released. Yesterday I used it to decorate a house, today I used it to decorate a spa and it would go equally well in a gym both professional and a home gym! I can also see it working well in a dorm room, an office, a study or a retail shop! I am just over the moon about this kit, best 5 bucks I’ve ever spent on the sims!
i hate kits but these last two kits have been such an amazing refresh. plumbella did such an amazing job with the pastel kit. & the clutter kit is FANTASTIC.
I love the new kits! The strawberry sports kids room is my favorite! I can’t wait to see the one tomorrow!
Love the idea that the grandkids are spending the summer or the school year with their grandpas while their parents are away, maybe on business, or visiting distant family? Like the granddads have these rooms set up for the kids year round but they're only used seasonally, but every single time all of them are really happy to be spending time together.
These new packs are the best! They added so many items that I've wanted to be in the game. The gym clutter, phone with keys combo, and mugs are *chefs kiss*.
Super cute house I can totally see grandparents and kids of all ages in here. Maybe the grandparents gave up their balcony bedroom because they're those kinds of grandparents that just give everything to their grandkids because they love them so much and they feel bad that the parents aren't in the picture anymore.

Oh Simsie you are tempting me 😆! I don't "design" sims but I have a strong desire to make that family you didn't. I am see two grandpas, a teen girl, and (since they are fresh out of CAS) a set of triplets. I sort of want to give the space room to girls and the room upstairs to a little boy. Its the opposite of where my brain goes by default, but if you were to look at my Not So Berry pink boys bedroom you wouldn't say "boy" either so... I'm always up for a little retraining of those neural synapses 😊!
I don't have the clutter kit and don't intend to buy it so I'll be missing some stuff, but that's the beauty of clutter, its not something you "miss" in the same way as big stuff. I'm curious if the game will try to replace it like it does with those bigger items.

This might be a bit of a weird comment but i’ve been feeling insecure about my appearance lately and i’ve been flooded with videos about how fake influencers are and.. idk something about the way you were talking about the lighting just spoke to me. It’s a strange connection I know but it was on my mind. Honestly it hasn’t left my mind in days😅. Anyways the way that you just left all that about the lighting in and how you felt like you didn’t look good was just.. refreshing I guess. You’ve always seemed so transparent with your content. The way you talk about your friends and your anxiety and tell us about your day on stream is just very meaningful at a time when everything feels like a performance for others. Idk I guess this just a thanks for being you simsie :)

For the IRL window : Maybe not blinds, but thicker curtains. Sheer curtains just don't cut it. Those are great privacy curtains, but can't reduce the light coming through.
Both grandparents obviously completed the fishing aspiration, and pursued the fisher career past level 10.
I often add a basement only to contain fitness equipment, the microscope, a grand piano and a DJ station. Also, make it tall walls to fit the climbing wall.

You should think about getting some blackout curtains that you can put over your other curtains and you can pull them closed when you record and then you can pull them apart and open them up for lighting when you're not. I do that sometimes to keep the light out of my room so that I don't get streaks on my screen.
I love watching your videos! Could you possibly do a build where you use all the packs/kits etc plus the hidden objects /debug? Maybe a home for two parents, 1 baby, one toddler, one child, one teen, and two grandparents? Just a home that looks very lived in and perfect for each life stage.

Kind of wish you kept the roof as a kind of decor driveway- that's a cool idea! Since we don't have cars anyway. I'm a little late for this one, but I didn't mind the lighting as I tend to watch videos while doing other stuff on my pc, like play the sims lol.
The thing with the keys in the kitchen, my parents have a key rack in the kitchen, since the kitchen is closer to back door that goes to the drive way.

Usually I just make rooms how I'd like to see them, then try to join them together to form a house, which creates awkward intermediary rooms and an exterior that doesn't really make sense.
I envy people who can build the exterior first and be satisfied with what they can create within the preexisting boundaries of that exterior.
