Wooden gantry to lift engines

A portable engine lift gantry made out of wood based on a mixture of plans I saw on the internet.

(2 for base 4 for the 2- 2x6 cross beams on each post)
- 4 ea-1/2 in.-13 tpi x 10 in. Hex Bolts: Lowes Item # 75010
- 4 ea-1/2-in-13 x 3-in Hex Bolts: Lowes Item # 137512 (Sold in 2s)
- 14 ea-1/2 in nuts Lowes Item # 63304
- 28 ea ½ x 1 ½ washers Lowes Item # 35586 X 6 (Sold in packs of 5)
Lumber
6 ea. 2-in x 6-in x 8-ft boards Lowes Item # 30820
2 ea. 4-in x 4-in x 8-Ft Post Lowes Item # 92331
2 ea. 1-in x 6-in x 8-ft boards (Cut in half) Lowes Item # 951
1 ea. 1/2-in x 4-in x 2-ft board (Cut in four 5 ½ pieces for spacers) glued/ screwed on bottom of posts. Lowes Item # 50257
For added strength cut 2- 5" length pieces off each post (4 total and bolt or predrill/screw on end of gantry legs

Good job lol 8 need to least a 12 foot gantry I have sear ray with a 305 that's soNabishhh to pull out. I tried a scafold with a 4x4 beam across and gave up on that cause it seemed sketchy I then got a hoist not tall enough called tow truckers they didn't want to help And I ended up lifting it with a big flamboyant tree (there soft but big flowering trees that grow down here in Miami) and that's what worked but now it's time to do it again to pop the sucker back in ugh sterndrives are evil
