The newer tablet does have Android 7.1, however. You can find the Tab 4 here: lon.tv/xzpyd (affiliate link). At the moment the white Tab 3 tablet I linked to above at Gearbest costs $80 less. There's also a 10" Tab 4 that costs less but it's larger. As I always say, if it's smaller it's more expensive! :).

Depends how much you're willing to pay and what you need. I like Marshmallow and am happy to flash lineage if need be down the line if need be and the 3gb of ram v 4 on the Tab 4 again not going to be a big deal for most people.

So I purchased one and the screen didn't work. Took a whole day for me to figure out half the time, the backlight doesn't come on. And when it does, the touchscreen doesn't work half the time. The rest of the time, the touchscreen is really slow at detecting touch. :( Not sure if I got a defective one or this tablet is just suppose to be like this.

If it's like the other Lenovo tablet I had a year ago you can actually use the microsd card as internal storage. So it's pretty cheap to expand the storage
I have a shield k1 and I'm seriously considering the tab 4 version of this. Shield k1 has inferior battery life despite the fact it's substantially heavier

The Lte version is €118 at this moment. The sd625 is still a great and capable SoC.
