OVER 200K VIEWS, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
This video has gone far beyond all my expectations and words can't express how grateful I am!
Here's a teaser at what's to come:
th-cam.com/users/shortsAgi3bO6hFhw?feature=share
EXTRA TRIVIA:
We started this video in January of 2023 and it took nearly 6 months and approximately 120 hours for my Mom to beat the game
Mom also beat Rykard, Radahn and Sewer Mohg but I couldn't find a good way to include it in the video (I forgot about Placidusax's existence)
The reason the live audio sometimes sounded different was because I was recording it off my phone due to the uncertain nature on how long each boss would take
We also did Ranni's Quest but didn't pick that ending after beating the Elden Beast
Glad you persevered with this one! Great video
Yes! Go mom!
Have her try Tears of the Kingdom. Gotta theory that its more difficult than Elden Ring.
I don’t like the way you pronounce mum
@@Insanepie I don't like pie or insanity.
I’m not your mom, but I am A mom. I’m turning 46 this year and Elden Ring was my first Souls game.
I struggled so hard in the beginning. I just died and died and died. I couldn’t get past Margit until I was lvl 50.
But I am stubborn. In the end I was lvl 180, had put about 160 hours into my first play through and I had beaten all the bigger bosses in the game. Yes, even Malenia. I beat her with my two Blood Falchions and my max level Mimic.
Now I’m on NG+1 and eagerly awaiting the release of SotE.
That's awesome, thanks for sharing your story! 😄
Ha! 46 in November 😎😎 First Souls Game for me too but i am Nuts....i have now 9 1/2 different Builds ready for the DLC. And muhahahah now i don't even use Summons anymore 🤣 Feel Like a "Boomer"rang 😎🤣🤣
@@murderycatdoll1380 I don’t think I could have done it without over levelling and using my ash summons. My reflexes just aren’t that great. They never have been and age hasn’t improved them.
9 different builds? Yes, you’re nuts! 😄
Sounds like you’re having an amazing time.
I'm only 19, but I think you're AWESOME. I'm curious how you found out about the game and what kept you going?
@@cheftroyardee7982 I’ve been gaming most of my life. It all started with Super Mario on Nintendo 8 bit back in the 80’s 😆
I have played mostly Final Fantasy games. 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 13, 13-2 and last bit not least 14 which is still ongoing but I’m on a bit of a break. I did play WoW for a while way back, some ArcheAge, 7 days to die, Minecraft, Civ6. I actually wanted to play Bloodborne because of the amazing ambiance and darkness of that game, but I play on PC so I bought Dark Souls 3 instead. Then someone told me it was extremely hard and I should try Elden Ring instead, so I did. I have started playing DS3 as well now after I beat ER. I was getting my behind handed to me in Archdragon Peak, so I moved on to the painting but I haven’t killed the Scythe Goddess yet.
Not sure when I will finish DS3, but I’m guessing it’s gonna have to wait until after SotE.
ELDEN MOM TEACHES MARIKA HOW TO PROPERLY PARENT
My brother in Marika, this would be an interesting fanfiction idea.
lmao love how saying "first try!" even when its taken a thousand attempts is such an inherent gamer experience. Elden Mum is the best
ZERO DEATHS!
strongest souls player right there, no rage after dying for an hour, I think she doesn't even look at the bosses health bar, just stabs them till they stop moving lol
She's achieved true Unga bunga.
I've lost so many times because I was health bar watching. I try to greed for that last hit and I get annihilated. Nothing sets you back mentally like getting a boss to a sliver before losing.
didnt we all start like this, execpt the rage bit, yeah we did that
@@gamera5160Yeah, in all my best and most fun boss fights including O&S, Champion Gundyr, Pontiff Sullyvan and Genichiro, I was so in the zone that I just forgot the health bar existed. It was just dance until the opponent stops moving.
she killed the draconic tree sentinel TWICE just because she wanted to officially be the one on the footage of it dying in the video. True gamer.
Now every time you say to someone “My mom could even beat elden ring”, you could be comfortable knowing you aren’t wrong😂
Yeah, whenever I hear anyone complain about the difficulty I'll just send them this video 🤣
Omg ikr
Same@@Penguin00
@@Penguin00Beating the bosses using cheese and one of the strongest weapons in the game doesn't nullify the inherent difficulty.
.. did you mean "even my Mom could beat Elden Ring"?
22:14
“I’m the Elden Beast” 😃
I’m not even going to argue with that. Congratulations!
You are now the Elden Beast.
285 likes and no replies? I’ll fix that

This comment made my day 😭😭😭
The Elden GOAT 🗿
Elden Mother, better than Marika
11:48 "I don't have much to say about the Morgott fight"
Brother, you not even gonna mention the SICKEST MORGOTT DODGE EVER??? Literally while you said that, she ducked under his swing, stabbed him and then jumped backwards over his followup to hit a jump attack! Actual pro gameplay on accident
"she's still alive what did you do??" was so cruel after her celebrating her victory LMAO
Mom here 👋. This was my first Souls game, currently on NG+. I found this game to be very therepudic, oddly enough. After I beating the game, I felt so empowered that I finally quit a soul sucking job and found a another one that offers challenge and variety. I'm much happier 😊
This is awesome!
🔥
*mum
Lmao ^
Congratulations!!! ❤
The fact you were conflicted about spirit summons shows how this community is overstepping on how people play and enjoy their own solo player game lol. Spirit summons were literally put in the game for players like your mom or casual gamers who just wanna chill and be able to progress. Glad you let her use them, wholesome story overall.
If it's in the game and isn't blatantly glitching or a literal cheat code, I'm using it.
Reddit, piss off
@@chuckchan4127 I mean, you're right, but man, it does make the game just WAY easier. Was struggling against the first proper DLC boss yesterday, then beat him on the first try where I was using spirit summons. I feel conflicted about using them for that reason, not for any elitist reasons.
@@TheMike0088I don’t personally use them because I think beating bosses alone is more rewarding, but I’d never let my opinion on it affect someone else’s ability to enjoy the game.
@lucasgriffith6117 I agree, but I do use them when exploring, especially with the shadow of the erdtree, or with truly bs boses, like the friggen godskin duo. I have beat them solo once, but never again.
@TheMike0088 That to me says not using spirit ashes means the game was balanced around them.
15:00 lmao your mum actually worrying about "cheesing" the boss. She's becoming a hardened souls vet - the easy wins no longer satisfy her. She needs to FEEL the hard won victory!
This will be such a big memory for you later on in life.
might have to get my mum to have a go, though she'll probably end up punching the monitor.
The final Godfrey fight has gone down in our family's history 😂
Imagining my mom raging and throwing the controller is just pure gold 😂
You would think it's funny but you low-key be more shook cause you've never seen them that frustrated
@dsijohnson I have once with both sets of parents it's always a shock even when it's expected and you know it's coming.
As a souls mom myself I'd like to give a hearty congratulations to your mother on her amazing victory! Long live the new Elden Beast!
🫀
This was wholesome AF. GG, Mom! Congrats!
Thank you so much!!!
I don't know if this video would've been possible if it weren't for your guides so thanks again!
I love this the excitement in her voice when she beats a boss is so really heartwarming
That to me is the souls experience to me
Me too! I loved when she burst into tears of joy! Not that I want her to cry of course! Lol just that it shows how much it meant to her to FINALLY defeat them! I felt the same way when I defeated maliketh!
That's really a cool mom man 😭
If there was ever one boss to not worry about cheesing it would be the Godskin Duo.
I´m a 63 year old mom and play Elden Ring. I have beat every boss, find all trophy items and now i stuck at the very last phase of the endboss for a week. The running "simulator" boss is no fun for me. Wish me luck (sry english is not my language)
You can use torrent in there now if needed
With the release of the new update you can now use your horse in the last bossfight against the Elden Beast!
@@skullcat1378 I beat the boss yesterday and now have platin trophy🙂
congratulations @@Bandalil
@@know.1ne thank you
"I did it on my first go!" (on the 16th attempt)
Your mum is a born gamer!
What a gamer. "I'm the Elden Beast!"
Miyazaki would be very proud of that sitting on the throne
I would've never been able to get my mom to beat a single boss but i wish i could try. This was a fun watch.
I'm glad you liked it! 😁
Go mum! I am a 44 year old mother of two and I beat Elden Ring plus Malenia. 😊
Hell yeah. I love us 40+ yr old gamers.
This really speaks to those feelings we all experience the 'why we are gamers' thing. You went on an adventure together, overcame impossible feeling things, laughed, cried and supported each other (you didn't get it on film, well f it, she'll do it again dammit). 10/10 wholesome content, this brings such joy, thank you both!
15:45 since boss arenas don’t count as stable ground, quitting out of the game and loading it up again spawns you in front of the boss door with all of your runes! Works in all the souls games! Hope that helps!
Thanks for the tip!
The method I used was jumping down the gap after immediately heading into the arena which put the runes outside the boss door 😂
@@Penguin00ohhhh that works? Awesome haha. No Problem either way, great video!
It was a first for me too, although I had an inkling after Mum jumped out of Godfrey's Arena and I thought I recalled the runes being outside.
Thanks for enjoying the video though! 😁
Talisman of sacrifice would work too
Love Elden for the fact that it has scaling difficulty purely based on in-game actions and not a slider. Summons for example.
Very wholesome! Glad you got to spend time with your mom and I'm sure she feels the same way.
Late to the party but mom is a such a chad for wanting to go back and repeat the fight to get new footage. So glad to see the video popping off!
It's impressive that your mom didn't give up, my mum wouldn't have the patience for even the first boss
remember, there are a bunch of people (game journalist) complaining about how they have to defeat Mogh to access the DLC...let that sink in
sure *opens door*
took me nearly 50 deaths before I beat mohg even with my mimic tear, the second phase was tough as fck
It took me four hours to beat him the first time (with mimic)
And then my second time in ng+ (still with mimic) to get into the dlc I beat him by spamming swarm of flies and I’m almost upset by it
Are those game journalists in the room with us right now?
@@Bodonismdid you get that one talisman or whatever that cancels his blood chant attack thingy? (Sorry I haven't played in a while lol)
Damn, you really didn't get your mom a better ending than age of fracture? Smh. No, but really, this video was wholesome as hell. Kudos.
We did unlock the Ranni ending but I wanted the shot of the Throne instead so we went with the Age of Fracture.
Thanks for watching the video! 😁
My sister beat Elden ring and she only really plays sims. It did take her about 140 hours but she enjoyed it.
22:14 She most certainly is the elden beast.
I wish my mom was this cool. My mom smoked weed with me for the first time when I was 13, I would rather her play elden ring.
Fair
What the hell😂
Honestly, this was so heartwarming to watch. I love the Souls series, allll the way back to Demon's on the PS3. I loved gaming (in the few games we did) with my Mom. FFVII especially, when I was younger. Seeing this is just so nice, it makes me wish I had more time to play some of the more epic games I am into with my own Mom before she passed, but alas here we are. I loved hearing how emotional she got with wins and losses, and just how supportive you were. What an outstanding video. It truly lifted my spirits. You gained a sub.
I loved this video so much! I don’t usually like and comment on videos, but I think this one really deserved it! Hearing your mom cheer in victory is so fun!
Thank you so much for leaving a comment then, I'm glad you liked the video! 😆
Why is this so wholesome?! I loved both of you celebrating her wins. Fantastic video!
Never any anger or complaining just enjoying the time with her son. I need to call my mom.😊 thanks for the vid
First time I saw the video I thought you had 100k subscribers instead of 1k, With this video quality you deserve much more 💪🔥
I appreciate that, Thank you so much! 😆
Brother with the Panda pfp 🤝
I just found this, but this might just be the sweetest, most wholesome Elden Ring content ever.
Your mom is a treasure, bro.
4:44 Aw you got her some nice gear. That’s so kind of you ❤
This was unironically the best video I saw this year. Congrats to your mom dude! She's really cool
I really feeling like having someone there to teach and support you when your not a souls player or a gamer really at all helps a ton
Well ...Is she going to conquer the shadow lands? Love to see it.
Would love to watch her stream!
This is so wholesome and your mom is a literal legend!!! Please play more games with your mom bro 🥹🖤
Thats an instant like and subscribe from me bro i cant wait to see more wholesome play throughs with mom 😭🖤
This video is so wholesome. I can see you and your mum, controller in hands, the soft glow of the TV screen on your faces, hands sweating, as you both went on this journey together.
that has to one of the most wholesome Videos ive ever seen. Its so sweet when your mom kills a boss and you can hear her emotions my heart melts litterally.
When I'll have a kid I'll also be a mom who beat Elden Ring
Actually teared up watching this. What an experience to have with your mother.
The angel: tell her she beat the game.
the demon:.............tell her about Malenia💀
This was such a joy to watch, seeing your mum struggle and cry out of joy at overcoming those struggles was so fun to watch. We love her energy. ❤️
I predict more ground nonsense in the DLC
She's not even my mother but I was so proud of her everytime she conquered a boss! Love you guys's dynamic, you can clearly see the amount of respect and care between you two, love the video!
i absolutely adore this relationship you have with your mother, my mother was my gateway into gaming when i was younger then as i grew up anything outside of WOW i had to help her with lmao, i cherish those memories of her everyday and this video made me think of her. thank you for this wholesome content :D
I loved turning my kids into gamers
This is so wholesome. Makes me wanna buy my Mom a PS5 and the game. Shes never played a video game in her life and has never shown any interest in doing so, but shes gotten to mind blowing high levels in candy crush without spending money, and shes still been playing Pokemon Go to this day. I honeslty doubt shed like it but itd be worth a shot to give her something new to do in the twilight years of her life. Bad knees and health prevent her from really being able to walk around anywhere, and she cant even drive anymore. But maybe she'll be open to going places in a virtual world. Thanks for the inspiration 🤙
I'm jealous at the idea your mum plays video games. I cannot even fathom what this must be like.
HER TURNING OFF MIMIC TEAR IS SO HYPE she wanted the challenge I am SO PROUD
With all due respect, I love your mom. Respectfully.
50+ mom here. I beat Elden Ring and I'm working my way through the DLC and playing through a second time. My son says I never dodge and he gets frustrated when I use the mimic tear to make it easier for me. He says that's not the way to play a Souls game.
Mimic tear is perfectly fine to use its in the game for a reason
There is no "wrong way" to play a souls game, the mt is a difficulty slider, every mechanic is a slider. Want more hp? Level up. Want to upgrade your dmg? You can do that *even if it's slightly hard to do*
Everything exists so everything is valid, making a game "easier" doesn't deprave you of satisfaction, rather it stops some negative things about gaming like frustration even if it's good to sometimes let emotions go
Don't worry about saying hello to Gideon, mum. He's a tool.
22:10 His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti
This is actually the best elden ring video ever. The gameplay was immaculate, the story was moving, the pop offs were insane! Well done to you both
Thank you so much Jam!
This is so wholesome and awesome. Respect to your awesome mom!
Every time he just said. You've died. Pure comedy
You had to unbind jump because you had it on left stick like some kind of cursed creature 💀😂
Her absolute rejoice in those cheers after felling a boss are so wholesome! Great playing Mom!! Congratulations! 🎉
This is SO WHOLESOME. I love your connection with your mother
That's really cool to see a mom playing and beating Elden ring.
That give me a hug on Godfrey was so wholesome I started crying
"Blimey i just gave him a few whacks"' what a treasure
This is so wholesome! Love it ♥
I love this video so much. After hearing your mom's cries of joy, even I want to give her a hug.
Best Elden Ring video I've ever watched... incredibly entertaining. Thanks for that!!!!
so nice to see a mom getting involved! Cheers to you and your mom dude!
Her joy after beating a boss is so contagious!
“There is no right way to play the game.”
1 minute later: “I considered forbidding my mom from using spirit summons.”
Ermmm 🤔
Probably the most wholesome Elden ring video ever.
Dude the fact your mom participates is just awesome
Props to mom for doing the draconic tree sentinel twice. That boss, for me, is one of the hardest bosses in the game.
man this much joy from your mom made me actually tear up! It was so nice to see someone relieve the moments Souls Games are made for! Keep up the amazing work!
“He made me cry, because I couldn’t kill him” 😂
Dude I love this your mom is awesome.
I just discovered this weekend that neither of my parents know intuitively how to move the camera when playing a modern video game. I could have sworn they would have had to do this at some point but I guess Mario 64 moved the camera for you so I guess not. It's weird things you take for granted in terms of just body memory when it comes to modern games
"What is an M1?" Energy
This was phenomenal and so fun to watch. Thanks for sharing, and congrats Elden Beast mom!
With all that jumping, your mum would love sekiro lmao
I lost my mom to cancer in 2021 right before Elden Ring came out and the two of you reminded me so much of the two of us playing games together. I'd like to think she would have become Elden Lord too. Thank you both
16:11 "Me and the mimic are just KINGS"
omg so sweet haha🥺🥺
I'm loving the rapport between you two as she plays and especially loving the accent.
Your mum is _such_ a delight! Please tell her another commenter is sending her love ❤
The accidental perfect spacing on the godskin fight has me crying😂
My favorite parts are when you coach her to do something, but she chooses to do what she wants, and succeeds. True gamer.
"We don't like backseaters, mods ban them"
She's awesome! Congrats for not giving up on the challenge!
You are a great duo. Wishing you guys the best
Blessed content, thank you
Who knew Elden Ring was a family oriented game. 😂❤🎉 Sometimes I wonder what it would be like watching my mother play games nowadays, since she hasn't touched a controller since the Wii and N64 prior to that.
Moms are awesome.
This is so damn heart-warming.
"Mimic is the Ceasar to your Joseph" 😭😭😭
