Free Throw Rebounding For Posts Players - Positioning & Techniques

🏀 The purpose of this skill is to learn different moves techniques to win the rebound at the free throw line. 🔑 The key to this skill is to use your body to push your defender out of the paint. Learn from NBA veteran Mark Strickland.

3️⃣ UNDER THE BASKET
Free throw rebounding positions, roles and strategies are explained for the post positions. Post players will line up on the bottom two slots in the key, with the defense getting the closer spot. It is the defensive post players responsibility on both sides to not only secure the rebound, but prevent the offensive rebound as well. In this video, you'll learn three techniques, a box out, swim move and slide-under-the-basket move, to push the offensive player out of position and secure the rebound.

Good video! I used the "Slide Under the Basket" move when I was in college when an opponent was a lot faster than me. I was stronger than him but he was a lot faster than me. I let him go ahead of me since he was too fast for me to stop, and I pushed him under the basket to get the rebound. Very effective.
