They updated the resistance note: " Maps no longer have additional elemental resistance penalties inherently applied at Tier 6 and Tier 11 or higher Maps. It is now consistent across all of the Endgame at the same value as it was previously at Tier 1." -20% in maps is gone.
They had to do +20 all res to people in t15s already. That would have been so fucked if they hit everyone with -20 more at t1 maps, but it would have been funny as fuck.
Man they are killing it with these patches as far as getting them out quick. Hopefully endgame one shots arent as frequent. You totally should get one shot if you dont build defenses but some of em are cheap.
One shots have plagued PoE1 since forever but at least with that game they have the excuse of the combat system pretty much having 0 depth, you either click the enemy and it dies or it "clicks you" and you're dead. PoE2 is a lot deeper as an action game, so there's no reason it should have one-shots unless they are HEAVILY telegraphed. And yeah they're doing a great job.
ill be completely honest. if they HAVE to give me a resist penalty i would genuinely rather just get it at the start of maps. i mean generally i would just prefer no res penalty. BUT if you HAVE to have one i dont see why this would be a bad change tbh. slap me with the resists now so i can solve them now instead of trying to figure part of it out now knowing ill have to solve them again later.

Now do i think there would be a way to optimize it work regardless, probably, but honestly the penalty system works well enough imo, especially given we now get a free 20% of each ele res during campaign now.
It's just been removed entirely. And it was better in the original state of ramping, instead of dropping you with a huge penalty at the start of mapping. Because that's when your gear is worse, and potential resistances on items are of a lower tier.
Do you see the resistance penalty on your char sheet? I've only gotten up to t12 and when I'd go in the maps it didn't seem like my res changed. Do you have to overcap hideout character sheet res by 20%?
Console is pretty rough right now, the list of gamepad bugs hit some good stuff but we still have no loot filter support due to the poe2 website support being dog water

Breach Density was Rediculous, the second i opened a Breach i was Swarmed, couldn't even move and even when i killed a huge Chunk of the enemies Surrounding me i still couldn't move cause they instantly Replaced what i killed xD
I’ve been playing it for a week before it got buffed, it’s pretty good but I don’t know if it can be brought up to the giga OP level most people want out of a build for endgame. Clear is great but it’s very directional, so breaches can be a problem with enemies from every side. Bossing is a bit of a weak spot since you don’t get herald of ice damage. Maybe there’s some weapon swapping or skills I haven’t thought of that can cover the weaknesses though
the arsonist nerf is ~20%. Depends on your max spirit and spirit cost reductions, but ziz went from 15 to 12, aka 20% drop. im playing the same build, and yeah it needed a nerf. too easy
personally i feel it could still use a bit more of a nerf to the arsonists themselves, but not to spirit cost of them any further, and also srs. And the other two mages could use a bit of a buff, and minion pathing, especially melee minions, needs an overhaul in general. Also brutes are weirdly expensive, especially given they dont have a trigger ability, maybe if you could command them to do a big slam attack it would make more sense.
Overall it's MUCH less because you still have SRS, Hellhound, and even Unearth minions. In fact, Hellhound got buffed by a bit because of fire exposure losing the less DMG multiplier. It's closer to a 10-15% nerf.
The only thing even remotely being a loot nerf is less density in Breaches which was mainly because fresher builds get swarmed in breaches and killed and also so many monster spawned that it caused FPS issues. Only somebody who has been playing an OP build since day 1 and never even noticed that because the screen blows up instantly anyway would see this as a loot nerf.
If you have windows 11 update 24H2, most likely this is your problem. The update and PoE2 for some reason don’t work well. CPU cores get to 100% and lock your PC. Usually starts with mouse slowing down until a full freeze. If you can rollback the update if you have it. That fixed it for me
@@theZedkiel yes, i saw that this worked for some ppl. but others didnt, so i dont know if i should risk it...i turned off 2 cores from my cpu and now my pc doesnt freeze completely just the game that crashes...its a temporary solution at least...but i hope they fix this soon, i also heard that some ubisoft games were having this same issue...feels bad.
skill issue, I'm playing sorc and the campaign was just fine, I had 3 bottlenecksm each solved after 10 minutes of changing my skills and a bit of gear upgrades
I have +3 skills, 50% spell dmg and like 40% cast speed from items and spark/firewall is still shit dps. No mana tempest or archmage yet so hopefully it gets better.
@@Hybriidzv1 in short my levelling route was something like this a1 spark flamewall around a2 I changed to arc this worked up to a3, whwre i went back to spark but felt bad then at beginning of a4 i went back to spark flamewall BUT i added cast on shock comet - worked wonders up to a6, where i started feeling weak and very squishy, mostly just bad defence damage was still okay. I thought it is too early for archmage but I tried it. Sustain was very difficult at first but I mamaged. Later in maps maybe tier 6 or 7 I added in MoM Also dont forget mana tempest, as soon as yoy get it, huge damage boost. Bit clunky to use, drains your mana fast, but hey I managed
If the resistance change is just a free 20% endgame is a joke (it already was tbh). Normal fair builds easily do enough damage to smoke everything too. Its just undertuned in general
Loot needs to be better not nerfed ffs. At end of a 3 and only had 4 orange items. I played for days and days worth of noob hrs. The loot and upgrade drops are ridiculously low as it is. I cba to trade I’m unsocial and now v moody. Probs gonna quit playing at this rate
this isn't diablo, you don't want to be filled in "orange" items. uniques are meant to replace 1-2 items to enable some mechanics, or just slotted in on alts or if you don't have anything better for your level.

You get the resistance penalty during acts. When you go to the next act, -10% is applied.
same, i wish they rebalanced the values and we had no penalties at all, but i guess it would be a bit difficult to implement and balance properly

That. Breach felt like suddenly opening a portal to PoE1, but with slow PoE2 player mechanics.

you're 100% playing wrong. its ok. watch some short guides or improve your build and tackle harder content and go fast
