@@askredditstudios8055 law of thermodynamics 2: a physical law based on universal empirical observation concerning heat and energy interconversions. A simple statement of the law is that heat always flows spontaneously from hotter to colder regions of matter (or 'downhill' in terms of the temperature gradient). Another statement is: "Not all heat can be converted into work in a cyclic process." The second law of thermodynamics establishes the concept of entropy as a physical property of a thermodynamic system. It predicts whether processes are forbidden despite obeying the requirement of conservation of energy as expressed in the first law of thermodynamics and provides necessary criteria for spontaneous processes. For example, the first law allows the process of a cup falling off a table and breaking on the floor, as well as allowing the reverse process of the cup fragments coming back together and 'jumping' back onto the table, while the second law allows the former and denies the latter. The second law may be formulated by the observation that the entropy of isolated systems left to spontaneous evolution cannot decrease, as they always tend toward a state of thermodynamic equilibrium where the entropy is highest at the given internal energy. An increase in the combined entropy of system and surroundings accounts for the irreversibility of natural processes, often referred to in the concept of the arrow of time.

All Samurai, no matter what class they come from, are given a surname upon becoming a samurai. It was a sign of honor and status, and let people know they were important people. - Yasuke has been listed in numerous texts as nothing more than a retainer, a person who carried Nobunaga's weapons for him off of the battlefield. This was a duty typically reserved for children, not full-grown men. -By the time Yasuke was reported to have arrived in Japan with the Jesuits, Nobunaga had retired from the battlefield. Honestly hats off to them, they're doing a great job all considered, never see this well moderated arguments on social media. Edit: Also, in hindsight, seeing as he was associated with Oda Nobunaga, i don't see why anyone would covet association like that, Nobunaga was one of the worst genocidal god complex maniacs in history, he was usurped mainly not for greed/gain/hunger for power, but rather because his generals were sick of being forced to engage in mass genocides, beheading women and children. His generals were so terrified of him they lied about losing a war with Korea because everyone was too afraid too be the one to break the bad news, which went on until a confused peace negotiation with Chinese ambassadors where both sides thought the other were surrendering. He was so well known as a piece of shit before he actually rose to power that as soon as he inherited the title from his father, one of his head advisors commited seppuku as an act of protest, something that was usually done when you were going to die anyway, and instead of the well known version where someone is there to cut your head off as soon as you stab yourself, he just opened his stomache and sat there, waiting to die. When people say the hate corporations, what they really should say is that they hate the top 5 investment companies that own the planet and that are worth literally trillions of dollars. It boggles my mind why we all don’t talk about it. They are worth more than most countries.
I mean, most average people probably thought he was some menacing figure. From what i know, dude was a giant in real life. Thats probably why people consider him a samurai. Samurai were probably even intimidated by him.
Also, i think he was given the title of samurai being the first foreigner to be named such. He started out as a servant to an italian jesuit, but then lord Oda Nobunaga asked to meet him. Literally because theyve never seen a black man. Oda literally had his men wash yasuke because he thought ink was all over his skin.
Every samurai was a servant whitie. And being a sword bearer was an important position in literally ever martial culture, especially Japanese. And the fact he got kicked out instead of killed is why Ubisoft picked him. Yasuke appears for a year, Nobunaga dies, and then the person who killed him let's Yasuke go. It's a great story to play with.
Every other ac title had correct characters to represent their era. If they wanted they could've done assassin's creed:Africa and people would be cool with it. The way ubisoft pushes for yasuke is for the sake of WOKE not some other bs. People wants to play japanese character in a game that sets in feudal Japan. Lead writer of this game loves BLM bs so much she had to do this story.
Yasuke in his "big fight" (Honnō-ji Incident) there are no records of him fighting and his lord (Oda Nobunaga) was betrayed and forced to commit suicide and for those who don't know a samurai should die with it's master or do seppuku to restore his honour, so yeah basically yasuke ended up as a Ronin or a dishonourable peasant; but we will never know because there are no records of yasuke after the last letter to Luís Fróis thanking god that he was alive.
Actually he survived after the battle cuz enemies treated him like an animal and wouldn’t kill him because of that. Funny how ubisoft tries to clear everything about real story of Yasuke. In reality he was just a regular slave, used as a clown for the Emperor (or whoever this guy who owned him was)
Honestly I hate that Yasuke is in the game for 2 reasons: 1. Ubisoft was under a lot of hate for being super sexist not only towards women in their games (ie not showing them or marketing them and then claiming that “actually Kassandra was the main character” when she’s not even on the box) and to the women working there (like actually look it up it’s bad) and they cheapen having a female protagonist something that only ONE Ac game has had which was a psp game reported with AC 3 remastered. 2. Let me play as an assassin in my assassin game, Yasuke can’t be stealthy, has no hidden blade, he’s not an assassin. WHY CANT I JUST PLAY AS A SINGLE CHARACTER AND LET HER BE AN ASSASSIN

law of thermodynamics 2: a physical law based on universal empirical observation concerning heat and energy interconversions. A simple statement of the law is that heat always flows spontaneously from hotter to colder regions of matter (or 'downhill' in terms of the temperature gradient). Another statement is: "Not all heat can be converted into work in a cyclic process."
The second law of thermodynamics establishes the concept of entropy as a physical property of a thermodynamic system.

- Yasuke did not have a surname.
He would have no need to ever see a battlefield.

@@thatnevelguy4466 They're fighting on the Wiki page for Yasuke, there's four major groups, the first two are the flame war groups, which were in an edit war until admin confined them to the discussion page, and then there's the actual history nerds and historians trying to peacefully correct things.
Sadly it seems he wasn't actually given the rank of Samurai, which sucks, i always thought he was.
Some of the highlight of this incident are: both sides comments getting torn apart and redacted with (personal attack removed), edit wars devolving into things like "It's commonly believed that he was a white Christian man", something i won't actually quote that included racist remarks relating to his belonging to a certain agricultural industry(yes, that one), and a Reddit sub that's a failed circlejerk(failed in that no one is circlejerking it up, or it's an incredibly racist, homophobic, transphobic space that just sucks at sarcasm and seems to appreciate those groups legitimately when they actually hate them) which is actually just an echo chamber for what I'll just sum up to being anti-gamergate gamers trying desperately to make out like he was a Samurai despite a lack of evidence, seemingly simply because of the 'chuds' they prefer to side against.
Grab some popcorn, pull up a seat, and watch as Wikipedia admins and legitimate users try to fight fires and calm down a fight between reddit and 4chan being waged on Wikipedia.
Granted he was comming from a pretty shitty life, but this is like escaping slavery to be Hitlers personal attendee. Not something to be proud of.

i like how Yasuke isn't even a samurai but a servant
All sources I’ve seen say he was
Edit: unless I only found articles from people who didn’t actually know what they were talking about
@@toastiboi7618 I just went to an AI and asked it the following word for word - "Is there any historical evidence that Yasuke was anything more than a slave and a retainer? I only care about historical evidence and not interpretative editorial opinions." The answer was No. There is no such evidence. He arrived in Japan as a slave and was taken by Nobunaga as a retainer (a low-ranking servant or page). There is no sources from the period that define him as samurai or mentioning that he achieved this high warrior status. He was explicitly addressed not as a samurai but as a retainer (again - a type of low rank servant).
@@GeorgiKolev85 He was 100% not a samurai.
Its so funny to me that even wiki trys to bend history whenever some controversy props up. They make stuff up as they go.
For the records of him, not much exists, he became a retainer.. but I guess more in title. Idk if he was a warrior or a assistant. The length of time under oda was short.
with assassin's creed if I was picking first I would look for time gaps and personal strife.
Yamamoto Kansuke, would have been a better match, or even sakamoto ryoma. Both had solo points in there history where the story could have been woven in.
no one know if he was definitively a samurai or not. there are points that lean towards saying that he was but there's not enough definitive sources to explicitly state that he was. samurai as a term used in the sense that we do now was after his time. we need more information to state that he was or that he wasn't. best answer we have currently is we do not currently know. more information is needed.
This never gets old
Don't let any of this distract you from the fact that being an assassin is a direct violation of the Samurai code of ethics, so the fact that any of the characters are Samurai is fucking stupid.

True, kinda the whole point of ghost of tsushima.
@@VoidScythe And also why Ghost of Tsushima is so much more fun than Assassin's Creed in Japan could ever be. real question is: would you buy it for free ?
O hell nah, my wallet still notices that 100 bucks tag
I want to go back to the good old times where the ultimate editions of AAA titles were only 99 bucks
Thanks to inflation, $99 in 2016 is $130 in 2024. In that sense, the price is pretty much at par.
Just to throw in an example, The Digital Deluxe version of Fallout 4 was $90 in 2015. And the version that came with the wearable Pip-boy was $120, which is almost $160 in 2024 money.
That said, what you get in an "ultimate edition" these days is far from worth it. The pip-boy was probably mostly paid with marketing budget rather than its sales, but those are the things I miss. Now it's like "if you pay $30 extra you get access 3 days early, and a weapon that makes the game super easy for a portion of the game".
No thanks, I'll use that money to buy pizza and snacks instead.
" I just looked this up on Wikipedia💀"
Probably true
In 16th-century Japan, the title of samurai spoke to rank and was loosely defined as a warrior in the service of a lord or another warrior.

You give Ubisoft WAAAAAY too much credit man.
Really! All it comes down to and what most you guys don’t seem to realize are that companies are beholden to their shareholders. Shareholder expect companies to be beholden to their ESG scores.
All the bullshit these companies tend to do has nothing to do with the company itself. Their hands are forced. Everyone’s hands are forced in the corporate world.
When people say the hate corporations, what they really should say is that they hate the top 5 investment companies that own the planet and that are worth literally trillions of dollars.
It boggles my mind why we all don’t talk about it. They are worth more than most countries.
Holomembers and their siscon stories will never get old. They're really living the anime rom-com dream xD
If they wanted a black main character, all they had to do was an assassin's creed set during the boer or zulu wars.
Or..... do what they did.
We already had two black main characters in Liberation and Freedom Cry.

A servant. Black servant who carried sword for a lord and got kicked out of the country the moment his master died.
A servant...to the shogun, like anyone 3lse. Yasuke was part of Oda Nobunaga's (the ruler of Japan) retinue. Check your sources.
All this needed was the Dr. Evil laugh 😃

@@dominicp9296 L racist
It’s totally gonna be one of the reasons
Yasuke in his "big fight" (Honnō-ji Incident) there are no records of him fighting and his lord (Oda Nobunaga) was betrayed and forced to commit suicide and for those who don't know a samurai should die with it's master or do seppuku to restore his honour, so yeah basically yasuke ended up as a Ronin or a dishonourable peasant; but we will never know because there are no records of yasuke after the last letter to Luís Fróis thanking god that he was alive.
i heard that yasuke surrendered in the battle and got expelled from japan, after that he got lost in history
Actually he survived after the battle cuz enemies treated him like an animal and wouldn’t kill him because of that. Funny how ubisoft tries to clear everything about real story of Yasuke. In reality he was just a regular slave, used as a clown for the Emperor (or whoever this guy who owned him was)
@@Bouncy_Orange bro he was a sword bearer for the shogun
Honestly I hate that Yasuke is in the game for 2 reasons:
I can just imagine "yo homie lets drop by Wendy's"
