So happy to have stumbled apon your channel Sunny, what a precious opportunity to live on this gorgeous island...absolutely stunning, so serene and lovely genuine warm residents :)
You've just popped up. Good old TH-cam. I lived in Saga Shi, Kyushu in 1985-86 studying Kendo I was 25 . It was the best time of my live . Been binge watching your videos after seeing it recommended to me on youtube and really liking the vibe of your channel. Can't wait to see more new episodes in the future.
Been addicted to watching your videos recently. It's always really interesting how you enjoy Japanese traditional cultures and notice a lot of things about Japan that even I, who lived in Australia for a year, didn't notice. And your videos help me study English. Thanks for the great video!!
@@Sunny_in_Japan yes, I used to be research scientist at pharma industries and then moved to Yatsugatake after retirement. Very nice to live here if you like nature and mountain views.
This would be heaven for me. I was born, raised and grew up in a very small town (graduated high school in a class of 45 or so people) and though I lived in a large city for a few years, I definitely have a preference for small towns. A lack of internet connection aside (my present occupation requires a connection unfortunately) it appears as though you have access to everything you might require but in a much more quiet, calm and relaxing atmosphere. The big cities of Japan look amazing (and I can't wait to visit them during my upcoming vacation to Japan in September) but I think the smaller towns allow you to experience the culture in a much more intimate and hands on way. I could see myself living in such a place and being happy and completely at peace.
You’re right, you really feel a sense of community and connection in such a small place. If you don’t mind the seclusion and love nature, this place might be paradise 🏝️ Enjoy your Japan trip!

@@Sunny_in_Japan

Awesome
Nice view!!🌳 How do you get chances spend time with local people?
In part thanks to my husband’s family originating from the island! 🏝️
@@Sunny_in_Japan That makes sense. 😊 Thanks.

@@Sunny_in_Japan シャンプーって選ぶの難しいですよね~
The most west part of Japan is Yonaguni island.
Whoops you’re totally right! 😅

The villages are not straight out of the movies, it is the movies that are inspired by the villages
Very true haha
Okay you’re awesome because you know Kamehameha! 😂
Haha it makes me so happy when those little jokes reach the right audience ✌️
