Appreciate the video shopping for one myself. I should’ve got it six months ago, but I got the tikka rough tech instead I should’ve stuck with my instincts and got the super. Grade m70. I was just iffy about the accuracy but they’re definitely a Cadillac.
Beautiful rifle. I've got a real soft spot for the -06. I'll be doing a rifle sight in video in the next couple of weeks on a Model 70 as well. The caliber is a secret, but Crimson Trace provided the glass for the review. Keep up the good work!
You are a good guy and the video is very nice. The last thing I would do is take anything away from this fine presentation. But the wood on your sg is plain and totally without figure. AAA may be the claim but I collect M70 SGs and have 3 with fdl checkering in AAA walnut. The maple with standard checkering sometimes has fiddleback but is very plain and way too light. Check gunbroker some time and see what I mean. Cheers for a nice video.
Love the gun! Didn't care about the caliber but that was the only one they had, since I didn't have an -06 (didn't ever want one) but loved the gun. So l got it. Thanks for watching!
@@gunman-6646 I have a maple supergrade and got lucky mines a 300 win mag but I seen a lot of 30-06 something I learned was no matter how many pictures you take or vidoes you take they never do this gun justice they’re so beautiful in person my weatherby lazerguard is the same way
I used to think that. Did you know with a 165 grain bullet you have more energy to 400 yards than a 7 mag? It handles a wider range of bullets (110-220) than any other cartridge? It often seams like an old boomer Fudd cartridge, but if you look a little deeper, it’s only gotten better with better bullets and powders. Enough gun for elk or moose, and most of Africa.
😍😍😍

It is definitely a sweet gun! So far it has been pretty darn accurate. I will do some more group testing in the spring.
that rifle sure looks good with the light maple color.
Thank you!
I recently picked up the same rifle in 270 win. What a beauty. 🍻
Love it! .270 is a great caliber. I have two .270's
@@gunman-6646 its my favourite caliber for sure. 270 just fits me but i like everything that goes bang. 🍻 from Alberta 🇨🇦 EH

Awesome! I will be watching for it. Thanks!
Who cares?
That is one beautiful gun.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching!
M1 Garand ammo is low pressure. Your sight on will be different with modern hunting ammo.
Didn't think about that. Thanks!
Trust no one named Hoody Hoo!😂
Lol
Do you remember what power you had the scope on@ 100 yds ?
Ya, I went ahead and cranked it up to 12.
U do any deer huntin?
I used to, haven't for a few years.
Cordite powder will ruin your barrel
Good to know. Thanks
You can't accurately sight in a rifle off a card table.
Just having fun though.
Junk ammo don't use that shit in that new rifle
ok, thanks. I definitely don't want to mess this sweet rifle up.
