- In this video I'll run though the exterior features on the ARRI Alexa Mini. This is part 1 of our 3 part series on the camera. Part 2 will cover the menus in-depth on the layout and navigation and in part 3 we will rig this camera up for a few different shooting scenarios like Gimbal, Handheld, and Studio setups.

What do you think about Arri Alexa mini in extreme low light situations ??
Its alright but not great, I did a High ISO/Low Light test with it if you want to see for your self.

great stuff... regarding taking full advantage of anamorphic filming on Alexa mini, does the anamorphic license alone get you the extra height in sensor and 4:3 mode for 2x anamorphic, or is the RAW license also needed for taking full advantage of sensor for anamorphic filming..recording format does not mater .
Great so the 4:3 licenses is the open gate?Its a bit confusing on Arri site, as they seem to list the Raw licenses as the one for open Gate.Thanks!

What is the price of this camera now? in 2021??
About $140,000 for the advanced ready to shoot kit with all licenses. About $55,000 Body alone with Arriraw and 4:3 Open Gate License, you could pick one up used from eBay for about $40,000 with some accessories needed to shoot.

9 volt camera accessories on the Ext port? 😂
LensProToGo I was chuckling because A) There's no 9 volts avail on any ports, only 12V. And two, it's primary purpose is not power but other things. There's run/stop, and two data buses used for the GPIO box and other stuff. Don't use it to power things, there's not much power there. Not that there's any distros or power cables terminated in a 6p Lemo
This is a good prosumer camera, but it only records in 3.2k.
Actually, it can shoot in 4K the 3.2k is for OpenGate and Anamorphic.
No. No. No. 4K UHD: 3840 x 2160 (up-sampled from 3.2K). This is NOT shooting in 4k. It is uprezzing. You'll notice Netflix which has a 4k rule doesn't accept this camera.
Not even a 4k camera, better to record on my iPhone.
If you got the right lighting it could work
