Nothing to do with this video but i wanted to tell you that last week's finally made me start Xenoblade Chronicles 1 after sitting on the shelf for nearly 5 years. I was put off by the length and supposed complexity but was spurred on by what you said about it. 7 hours in so far and loving it! Great story and mechanics no where near as difficult as purported. Thanks for giving me the push! Oh, but just to say I bought a PS Vita simply to play P4G and it didn't let me known. Most impactful game I've ever played.
awesome! I also played Xenoblade 1 after a few years of delaying 😂 and had a blast! I liked it so much that I played Xenoblade 2 right away 😂 now waiting for another year to play Xenoblade 3 without burning out
Your collection is pretty darn nice! Love the Vita, wish I played it more though. Some of my favs that I did play were Bastion, P4G, Tales of Hearts R, and the Wolf Among Us.
Great collection! I used to love collecting for it back in the day when no one cared about it and the games went on clearance so quickly. I have about 80 or so games for it, which is probably just about where I'll stop, as you never see Vita games anymore, and when you do they are really expensive. Such an underappreciated system though, glad to see it getting some love!
thanks for the video ❤ i really like the style and the idea of Danganronpa, but never had time and effort to play them. though the anime series are awesome imo. and the recent Detective Rain Code game felt really good, too.
Good to know I’m not the only one who buys games and they sit on the shelf a long time before getting around to playing them. Was late to the vita party but its awesome!
Lumines is a great time! Super lowstakes but addicting in the same way tetris is, the music also adapts to your play similar to tetris connected if you've ever played that. Highly recommend!
Thanks for sharing. I have to say though that I found you through Johnny millennium and he would be awfully disappointed knowing that you haven’t tried a Ys game yet. Gotta fix that via VIII
Fantastic video as always! Huge fan of Lumines, kinda like Tetris mixed with a rhythm game, and if you like EDM, Dance, or Techno music, the soundtrack is phenomenal!
I LOVE the PS Vita! I have around 85 physicals or so.. Here are some of my favs for the system (that I have played) Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 & 2 Marvel vs Capcom 3 Rayman Legends Little Big Planet Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 1 & 2 Uncharted Golden Abyss Unit 13 Virtua Tennis 4 Dead or Alive 5 Persona 4 Golden Murumasa Rebirth Final Fantasy x and x2 World of Final Fantasy Tearaway I could go on but this is enough lol
Lovely collection! Regarding Muv-Luv Alternative, it's definitely worth playing. It's not the life-changing masterpiece people say it is. Still, it has unique storytelling you can't replicate in any other medium. Also if you're willing to hack your Vita, there are an increasing amount of English patches out there. There's so many gems on the system! :)
I went through a handheld buying splurge in 2023 when I bought a Japanese slim model and NA fat model within a couple weeks of each other, and at the time the games were so expensive on the used market, so I think I have maybe 4 games and like many things, the games are on an ever increasing backlog 😬 I would say Odinsphere is one of my favorites on the Vita Great video and collection, thanks for sharing
Great collection, love the vita! The fact you just casually picked up a copy of Tales of Hearts R is amazing haha. Been trying to get that for some time now ugh. I know I'm mad annoying but you really should play Tales Of The Abyss! Feel like you'd love that one , it hits all the stuff you're looking for in those games (seriously there's a few Tales games I'm not crazy about too.) Also wanted to say Gravity Rush is amazing and if you can snag it ..I HIGHLY recommend you LittleBigPlanet Vita...prob one of the best in the series and so slept on. Cool stuff! 👍
great video. feel like no one really talks about the vita much nowadays. it's such a visual novel powerhouse and the form factor really lends itself to that genre of game. rpgs also play really awesome on there! it's my favorite handheld and i still play it regularly! (and dont worry about getting to xblaze haha, it's a really average read tbh lol)
What a great Vita collection. This console is incredible and it should have been more successful. A shame it wasn't. My favorite Vita game is easily Ys VIII. Awesome video as always!
LOVE Gravity Rush! I started out playing it on the Vita (I think it was maybe the free game for PS Plus one month? It was just on my Vita, and I don't remember buying it...😅). I ended up finishing it on the PS4 with the remaster. Just such a brilliant game. I'm super jealous you have the physical on Vita!
the vita was such a good system. i loved it so much, that i got the extra battery for the original one and later got the newer model with micro-usb to be able to use a regular powerbank. i think it has the best versions of rayman. for shantae 1/2 hero, i have that one on switch and i fell in love with it. it is so well done. but i never played the vita version of it...
The telltale games are/were honestly all amazing. The fact you don’t have to have played or watched the source material and they’re still engaging is a feat ( IMHO of course).
My Vita collection is small, but priceless to me. I love it so much! I took P4 Golden with me to high school for a semester straight, I didn't care if my teachers even saw me. I was a bad influence... and now I teach art lol
Lumines was my most played game on the vita, beating even persona 4. Afaik it's from the same creator who made Tetris Effect Connected. And both games just have great electronic soundtracks that let you chill out. Lumines is also different enough from Tetris and I would argue it's even more addicting. It's also visually very appealing imo. Try it out, it's worth it as long as you like the music at least a little bit.😊
Dragon's Crown is awesome, I got it on PS3 as well. I even bought Dragon's Crown Pro on PS4 even tho no new trophies. Ys is one of my favorite series, and Memories of Celceta is my favorite one so far. Toukiden: Age of Demons. It's a Monster Hunter type game. It is on the easier side and it has an interesting mechanic where you purify the body parts you chop off for extra mats. There's Toukiden Kiwami now which includes the base game and the expansion content. It's also for PS4 and there's Toukiden 2. It's also from Omega Force, the Dynasty Warriors devs.
Here is a cool way to get into steins; gate. Watch the anime till episode 10 where 💩 hits the fan. Then you can decide from there if you wanna play the game for all routes or finish the anime. Either way, cant go wrong. There is a reason why its been top 3 most critically acclaimed anime since 2011 so cant go wrong with the anime. I do wish it had more "fun" gameplay elements to make it easier for people to get into but for me its easier because VN are my "books"
I had the same experience with Steins;Gate. Just found the main character's oversized persona too much too handle. BUT, I turned off his voice acting in the menus and finished it, and it's now one of my favourite visual novels. This version is better than the Switch version, in spite of that version having the anime scenes.

Danganronpa is SO GOOD! One of my favorite stories, absurdity and all. Since I like it so much, I thought I would like Zero Escape, and got the same one you have here, but I didn't vibe with it either, at all. I haven't tried the other two though, so maybe I just happened to pick the worst one.
I highly recommend trying Shantae Half Genie Hero again, it's way less metroidvania like and I'm also someone that dislikes that genre, if you were to play any of the Shantae games, this is the one to go for (Pirate's Curse is awesome too though)
Once p4g got ported to the switch I lost any interest in getting a vita. Honestly unless I found one cheap at a garage sale or something like that I will probably never own one.
Just finished wolf among us on the vita, but id recommend a different platform. It is poorly optimized and a lot of qte events are a struggle due to massive drops in frame rate.

- Wipeout 2048: totally agree, though the PS4 Wipeout has the entirety of 2048
- The Wolf Among Us: totally agree, again like with the TWD games, better on modern consoles/PC given the sequel is coming and Wolf 1's sale files might still work(?) despite not on the same platforms (Wolf 1 on PS4/Wolf 2 on PS5 for example)
