Persona 4 Golden on PS Vita, I played it on the train, at home for hours and hours, at work during lunch break, I was totally obsessed 🤣 To this day P4G is still my favourite Persona game, I love it so so so much 😍
That Pokemon moment was precious! Man, there are so many games I've binged over the years. As a compulsive completionist, I rarely put a game down until I've at least beaten it, but I'm usually ready to move on by the end. There have been a rare few games that, even after completing them, I still wanted more, they were just that fun. Super Mario Odyssey, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Sekiro, Metroid Dread, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 3 Reload, and Disco Elysium all come to mind.
There’s nothing like that feeling of never wanting to out a game down, and every minute you aren’t playing it; you’re thinking about playing it! Dragon Warrior IV was the first time that happened to me as a kid.
@@femtrooper yeah, it’s always a toss up for me on whether I like the DQ4 cast or the DQ11 cast more. Nostalgia always gives 4 the edge for me I think haha!
may i just say you one of my favourite and comfort youtubers just much fun to watch and you seem like a awesome person too plus you talk about gaming which can't be beaten Paige you are star
Usually anything with a great story will have me hooked so games like Xenoblade, Triangle Strategy, Star Ocean Second Story, DQ 11 come to mind for recent games I just couldn’t stop playing! Great video as always Fem!
Usually I finish one game and move on to the next, but after more than 40 years of gaming, I had a very hard time putting down one game last summer. That was Monster Hunter World: Iceborn. A few years ago I once played the base game solo, finished it on my PS4 and then just stopped like always and started the next game. Normally I always play offline, but last year I finished Monster Hunter Rise (Xbox game pass) and that with very pleasant online sessions. When I saw Iceborn over I immediately thought "I should play that online too" and it was even more enjoyable than Rise. I ended up spending almost 500 hours and had to force myself to start another game. I've never put so many hours into a game before. and I've never been so entertained. I'm already looking forward to Monster Hunter Wild ;-)
This is a great video. When I think back to the games that I obsessed over, it’s typically social gameplay that drove me to stay up until insane hours in the morning. Beating Pokémon Puzzle League (Champions?) for my friend on his GBA; playing the Halo 3 campaign on legendary with the same friend; discovering hilarious ragdoll glitches in high school on Xbox Live; grinding a mage on MapleStory in junior high; and most recently - and yet again - grinding matches in Dota 2 with old and new friends. I’m sure there are plenty of single-player experiences like yours that I’m forgetting right now, or maybe I’m just weak to peer pressure 🙃
Wow that clip of you getting Pokémon at Christmas is so special! All of these are great picks. I'm playing through Yakuza 0 ATM an completely agree I can't put it down. Another fantastic video 👌
Awwww! Kid FemTrooper was adorable! The game I was most obsessed with was Suikoden 3. It released in 2002 when I was in college and I think I got it for Christmas. My parents had this incredibly comfortable leather recliner. From the day I got it and for like 4 days straight I didn't do anything other than eat, sleep, use the bathroom, and play suikoden 3. I have hardcore ADHD so having a game engross me like that is incredibly rare.
@@femtrooper 3 isn't even the best in the series. 2 is easily the best. But 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 (Eiyuden Chronicles) are all amazing games you can't go wrong with. 4 is a crazy huge departure from the others but still a solid game is taken by itself. And suikoden tactics is a very interesting and fun tactical game. It's my favorite JRPG series of all time.
Interesting question! The main one that immediately comes to mind is The Forgotten City. It's only about 9 hours long but I played it in one sitting because I couldn't tear myself away. I do enjoy a time loop. Also a game called Sundered. I'm not generally a fan of metroidvanias (or whatever term you prefer) but not only did I love this one, I played it a second time as soon as I finished it. I NEVER do that, with anything.
First off, that amazing family memory is so precious! I am huge in capturing moments and that moment literally took me back to when I first got my hands on a GBC and played Pokémon Red for the first time☺️ took me back there But yea, Yakuza is one of my favorite series of all time, I’m so glad to see Yakuza 0 on your list! It is the entry I always tell newcomers to play! It literally has it all! The side stories in Yakuza games are top tier! Great video !!
Great video and amazing list of games. Mass Effect trilogy is something I think every gamer should play. Those games are very special. Great moments and memories. Xenoblade Chronicles is great series. The FF7 remake looks amazing. When I played the original game that's how I picture the game when playing it on PS one when I was a kid. Can't wait for part 3 of the remake. Pokemon Gold was the game for me where I couldn't stop playing. Still love pokemon gold to this day. I need to play dragon quest 11 S. I played the demo loved it I need to go play the full game.
So many games you mentioned are on my list too, like DQ XI, FF VII Remake, the ME trilogy , all the games from Quantic Dream. I'm also a huge fan of all the Dragon Age games so I played them for so many hours.
Excellent topic...I may need to do a video response to this one 😆 I still need to get back to Dragon Quest XI, but I have no doubt that Dragon Quest 3 HD will be a big game to play during my paternity leave. I'm looking forward to being able to look back on it years later and having those types of nostalgic memories from when my daughter was born :) Heavy Rain is another GREAT one! I was so glued to the screen when I played that game lol Great video, Paige!!
ok P, I got something for ya for this one! 2 words: Naughty Dog. So many games, every one of them hooked me and never let me go. Crash Bandicoot PS1 - 3 games, obsession to find everything, get through the levels. The music and graphics were amazing back then, and Crash, although mute, had so much personality and charm! Uncharted series - yes, like most people, I have my favourites, but every one of them hooked me. The characters were so great, the action was fun and it were proper action adventure titles. Every instalment after the first, was a day 1 purchase and could not leave them until the end credits! TLOU 1&2 - I have no words. The devs peaked on these, and created masterpiece games. I needed to replay each title at least twice when I got em day 1 and re-explore and look for details that I missed and fully upgrade my weapons (not that I really needed that as an incentive) Great shout for FF7R - I was the same, I couldnt get break myself away and I also agree that it is my more favoured out of the 2. Resi Evil 2 Remake - My god! I didnt play the OG. What a game, fully got it grips into me and it became my obsession. The other remakes dont seem to grab me like this one, it has perfect emmersion with resi sillyness! Splinter Cell 1, 2 & 3 - On ps2, if you wanted stealth, everyone played MGS. After I played the DEMO of splinter cell, I couldnt stop thinking about it. I replayed it so many times I would speed run it. Then when I got the full game, it was delightful. It felt so much more grown up than MGS. Sam Fisher was awesome. I couldnt put them down when I started playing them. Chaos Theory is still in my top games of all time. Gran Tourismo 3 A Spec - I would dream about this game when I went to sleep. It was so incredible, that I think it still holds up today! The customization was incredible. Getting licences was super additctive. It blew my tiny little mind, and I have such incredible memories of it. Ratchet and Clank 1, 2 & 3 - the most platforming fun any series has given me. When I played R&C, I played nothing else...for weeks! There are so much more that are surfacing, but I think these are my top picks for me!
Ah man, the Pokemon segment was SO good. I remember borrowing a super gameboy and my friends game to play it because I wanted it so bad but didn't have it. I'd take it from my cousin, and I just couldn't get enough. Then one day, one of my dad's work buddies got me a freaking Special Pikachu Edition Gameboy Color with Pokemon Yellow and I about pee'd my pants I was so excited. I too was ABSOLUTELY obsessed. Also Fire Emblem for GBA. Holy smokes I played through that game like 6 or 7 times nonstop. I was obsessed.
That’s so awesome! I first tried Pokémon at a friend’s house on the Super Game Boy! My Mom wanted to make sure I actually liked the game because you couldn’t rent Game Boy games. So amazing!!!
DQ XI is the first jpg I played through in ages. It's so good. It also made me go back and play the older games as well. Other games I've played through a gazillion times are Mechwarrior 5, Star Control 2, Deep Rock Galactic and Skyrim.
Awesome video and what a fricking good list of Games. Love that you included a home video of yourself getting Pokémon for christmas. As for games I couldn't put down the top spot would go to Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy. I remember playing this as a teen for 16 hours straight. Sleep was the only thing in my way 😂 Also Final Fantasy XIV, Phantasy Star Online, DQXI, Elden Ring, XBC3, Metroid Prime and so much more.
He is a brilliant man. He was your boyfriend but became your husband after he introduced you to the Mass Effect trilogy. I didn’t marry my boy lol who introduced me to Mass Effect because it’d be weird lol but he became my son’s godfather. Also my first Yakuza was also Yakuza 0. I wasn’t pregnant because men can’t get pregnant lol but I loved it too. Lastly that clip of you getting Pokemon on Christmas 1998 was really charming and cool. Loved your list. Lots of good games.
Those Poke Memories are excellent and precious! Your Pokemon = Final Fantasy VI for me. It was the game that took my entire world as a kid. Also, Trails in recent years. I hope Trails in the Sky FC for switch next year is on your radar! You won't regret it
Great picks and the old family footage was incredibly wholesome. On the subject of Pokémon I was just as obsessed when I was a kid, never had Red or Blue as they were my brothers but I kept on 'borrowing' them so I could play it. I was so excited when my Mum surprised all 3 of us to a trip to Toys "R" Us soon after Gold and Silver came out to go pick brand new copies. I think I remember her saying when I asked why, she said something like this: "Their going to be really hard to find when Christmas comes around." In terms of other games I couldn't put down without writing up a huge list: All but one of the Atelier games I've played so that's roughly 20 odd, both Blue Reflections, Seabed, Clannad, Bravely Default 1, Yakuza 0 and Triangle Strategy just to name a few. As for new games that came out this year: Unicorn Overlord, Another Code: Recollection and the Switch port of Pentiment.
@@femtrooper I hope you will give them a go, they offer really chill vibes even if the older games in the series have time limits. In terms of if Ryza works as a good starting point I'm on the fence. In some ways it works; such as the characters and the general atmosphere but where it doesn't work is, the simplification of some mechanics and that it has more of a action-centric battle system as the older games are turn-based. Personally I think both Atelier Rorona and Atelier Sophie more so the later if you're not a fan of time limits are better places to start. But in saying that Ryza isn't a bad choice.
@@femtrooper Hmm, maybe either Atelier Marie Remake as it's a remake of 1st game that never came out in the west so things are a lot more simple. I think it has the charm of the series and that of a PS1 game. Another pick is Sophie the Alchemy systems aren't too hard to grasp multiple difficulty options are their and both of these games don't have time limits.
Great video! When I was little (like 6,7,8) I got a hand me down NES from my older brother and 16 games. It was a fantastic Christmas! 😁 Anyway… it had All the Mario’s at the time, all the Zelda’s, etc. The two games that I couldn’t put down though were, The Legend of Zelda and Castlevania 2 Simons Quest! I LOVED those games even though my friends and my brother thought they were boring 😂 A few years later on SNES I obsessed over Zelda a Link to the Past, Secret of Mana, and Actraiser 😍 god I LOVED those 3 games! And constantly thought about playing them when I was in school lol. The last time I was truly obsessed with a game was with Fable 2! Romancing all the town people and playing the beer mini game until the sun came up. 😂 😂
That christmas video really hit the feels. You sound very similar to your mom these days, I guess we really do become like our parents. I really couldnt put dq11 down either and to this day as someone who has played rpgs for at least 30 years will rank it among the top of its class. Its an absolute masterpiece and ill never stop singing its praises. Phantasy Star Online back in the day really hit me hard, I still play smash bros melee daily 23 years later, each and every pokemon game still hooks me as well. ff6,7,8 and 9 had me and my brother addicted as kids to the point we would bring the SNES and PS1 on camping trips with us so we could squeeze some extra playtime out of them lol. Rebirth just recently felt like a spiritual journey and had be absolutely addicted playing sometimes as much as 12 hours a day. I know A LOT of people didnt like the game but loop8 really hooked me in its gameplay loop and I finished it with the good ending in like two days flat. Might and Magic 7 and 8 had me and my cousin terribly addicted as kids and to this day when I start a new file in either game I get hooked all over. For Visual Novels the entire sciADV series had me hooked line and sinker- Chaos;Head, Chaos;Child, Steins;Gate, Anonymous;Code, Robotics;Notes, and Steins;Gate 0 has been a huge part of my personality for years now and Id sink hours and hours into those stories easily. Other visual novels that really hit me hard that I couldnt put down were Archetype Arcadia, Nonary Games, and Raging loop. Sorry for my scattered thoughts lol the list could potentially be endless. There are so many games through the years that have taken over me lol
Last month I had to force myself to stop playing Spider-Man on PS4. Know I’m late to the game on that one, but I got lost in the story, the DLC, the costumes, all the busy work Ubisoft style side missions. I never get addicted to a game like that. Last time I lost myself in a game like that was the Mass Effect trilogy.
Right now I’d say it’s The Last of Us. Just playing through it now if you can believe that. Not honestly usually my type of game. Zombies aren’t my thing, survival horror isn’t either, nor is gruesome violence or shooters in general. But omg the story and characters are so god damn captivating, so well written and acted! It’s so insanely grounded in gritty realism and it tugs on your heart strings so effectively !
Mine was definitely Persona 4 for PS2. I picked it up on a complete whim. Just heard about it on youtube, thought it sounded neat, and grabbed it during summer break from college. I was flat out obsessed. Days at a time would go by where all I would do was wake up, and play Persona 4 from morning till night until I slept again. Only taking breaks to grab a snack or shower. In hindsight, it wasn't very healthy, lol, but I loved it. It's what got me into Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, which are still some of my favorites today.
Yes to Xenoblade, I was the exact same, couldn't get enough of those plot twists! And the Pokemon hype was real, I wish we could go back in time and relive the craze. Love this video and topic, so much energy and happiness ❤
Really nice list of games here! Loved the footage you pulled for that Pokemon R/B part, I was that Pokemon kid as well so I totally got what you were saying haha. Still gotta try Like a Dragon, I can never find a physical PS5 copy for some reason. 🔥
I got Pokémon Blue for my 11th birthday and it was life changing. I remember sitting in my living room for 4 straight hours and finally getting through Silph Co and realizing my eyes hurt after staring at the screen so long. Pokémon was a complete game changer. I could not put it down.
Mass Effect 2 is my favorite on this list, then Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii for me) and Pokemon (Blue here!). I sat in my step-brother's room for hours while we each played our copies of Pokemon as a kid. Good memories.
@femtrooper thanks for replying! Yeah I'm was a huge pokemon head but was unable to pass the love down to my kids. It just didn't take. :( Still, great memories. Your video was great!
Dbz the legacy of goku 2, gta vice city, assassins creed black flag, the witcher 3, dbz kakarot, elder scrolls oblivion, fallout 3, final fantasy 10, all games i couldnt put down
It's been so many years i didnt lack sleep to play video games. But as a regular way of playing games. From my recent memories. Pokemon arceus gameplay wise was so fun to me! So hard to put it down! Of course as a child i was also a fan and bring my pokemon yellow everywhere 🙈 Xenoblade 3 was unexpectedly a blast! ( I didnt really like 2, 1 was ok ). I can't wait for your video about it! Trails serie, once the story pick up with many events, it's so hard to put down, kinda samy from what you said about heavy rain. I had my fun with until dawn, even 100% it. I think i a few days off back then, so once i started it in a dark room ofc, i couldnt put it down 🙈
Hey Femtrooper I have a bunch of games on the super NES that I couldn't put down because they were so amazing and also on the Switch too but I truly like your list of games 😊
Hey Paige, thanks for the video, yeah I agree with you with the original Pokémon, was so much fun! Beside that I would say, Skyrim was a game that did that to me and Monster Hunter Rise too, the fact that I own multiple copies of those two might add to that lol
Going old school here but for me Breath of Fire IV was a game I could not put down when it first came out. I am not ashamed to say that there may have been MANY late papers the first few weeks of college that year. ^.^;
There are several games I couldn’t put down, Batman Arkham Asylum, Fallout 4, and Elden Ring I had so much fun playing them all. Also I did also have a blast with Pokémon Blue.
Great Video and great list of games. Mass Effect trilogy is something special I believe every gamer should play the game. Xenoblade Chronicles games are amazing. Pokemon Gold was the pokemon game I couldn't stop playing still my favorite pokemon game to this day. I need to go play Dragon Quest 11 S. I played the demo and enjoyed it alot I need to go play the rest of the game. FF 7 remake is wonderful something I always wanted after playing the original game when I was a kid. I can't wait for part three.
The last one I remember I couldn't put down was Trails from Zero. But I used to be a PC gamer in my youth and there are 2 games that pulled me in and wouldn't let go: Heroes of Might and Magic 2, and the actual entry in the Sid Meier's Civilization series. And the there are some rogue like, and or lite games like FTL, or Into the Breach. Oh, and before I forget it: Chrono Trigger was such a playtrough too, and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on the OG Game Boy.
The only game I was addicted to/couldn't stop was Diablo 2 back in the day. I had a friend that we scheduled when to get on so we could play together. Even when he wasn't on I would lose sleep and once done with work would rush home just to play.
I'm a pretty avid gamer, but the games i literally lost sleep over because i could not put down (that i can remember) are BOTW, TOTK, SMT IV and V, xenoblade 3. probably because they are exploration heavy. story heavy games like persona, I usually need mental breaks.
I'm lucky enough to still have all my original pokemon games starting with Red/Blue and recently collected every U.S. single main line and spin off games and now need a display case 😁
The ones that I can think of are Resident Evil 2 and 4 remake I loved the originals so when they put out new versions of those classics I played it constantly. Most recently was Mother 3 because I like Earthbound so it was really easy for me to get into the sequel
Pokemon red was definitely the first game I obsessed over lol I remember being in safari zone for hours man trying to catch that damn tauros 😤 good times though ❤
FF7 Rebirth is the last game that did that to me. 250+ hours in that game felt like 10. I remember having 15 minutes of free time between some obligations and just booting the game to see some minor detail and hear that awesome soundtrack.
The Pokemon games Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver & Gold on the Gameboy those are games where you catch your own pokemon power them up to 100 or whatever level you want to, give them your own moves & have those on the Transfer Pak for the N64 to play Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 with your own pokemon instead of using rentals. Heavy Rain is my Favorite Quantic dream game. I got platinum for this back in the day. Madison is my favorite character in the game. This was also the 1st game when I found out who the murderer was, I was like no way & it was that good that I couldn't even believe it.
I just started playing jrpg games last year and I finished Dragonquest XI. It is my favorite jrpg game so far. Such a great game and yes I couldn’t put it down either. Great characters and story, absolutely loved it! Xenoblade chronicles trilogy was really great games too. 😀
A couple that I wasn't able to put down were Yakuza 0, Ys 8 and Divinity: Original Sin 2. Just finished Yakuza 6 recently, can't wait to get into Like a Dragon.
Games I could not put down and was able to put up with the lack of sleep: Super Mario Brothers 3, Suikoden 1 and 2, Final Fantasy VII and IX, Chrono Cross, Persona 3 FES, Final Fantasy X. Now that am old where staying up late makes me a useless mess... I have had a hard time putting down the Trails games, some how I put insane hours into Horizon Forbidden West, and I am playing Final Fantasy VII Remake now, and it is hard to put down.
I wasn’t crazy about any of the Pokémon games since Sun/Moon but I still buy and binge them practically every time. They’re so easy it makes me feel like a professional game expert 😂
There’s a few other games I binge and I could do even more but I choose not to. The Xenoblade series will always get 6 to 10 hour play sessions every time I pick it up though. I just like seeing the huge world and hearing their reactions to all the shiny items that burst from the ground, it’s funny 😂
@@femtrooper yep, the bar is set pretty high for modern jrpgs and thats a standard that should be held to mainline pokemon games especially with how much the games sell. I do trust that their next one will be a bit more interesting. I appreciate their efforts though.
The Witcher 3 is a game I could not put down. Still the best game I’ve ever played. Also, Persona 5, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and the Like A Dragon games.
Oh I lost count of the amount of games that I couldn't put down. Many of the same ones you listed, Ys 8 and 9, many Trails games, Zero Escape trilogy, Zelda OOT etc
Dragon Quest XI and all the Yakuza games, definitely. Heavy Rain, I've still to get to. The Mass Effect series is great 👍 I enjoyed Andromeda, and that was my introduction to the series. One for me would be Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch. I didn't want the game to end.
For sure the whole Xenoblade series 😅 Lately it’s been Final Fantasy X for me. I just got past who people say the hardest boss is so I’m right at the last area now. It will probably end up as my second favorite in the series at this rate but nothing can top 6 for me realistically. The Christmas clip was really sweet too 😊
Pokemon red, dbz kakarot and heavy rain are great games I loved them. I almost platinum kakrot but my file on the ps4 got corrupt and I find it hard to start over but some day soon I will go back to it
When we think of games we couldn't put down, usually it's cuz we liked it so much. In my case, I couldn't put down Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow in the Castlevania Dominus collection because I just wanted to be done with it. Final Fantasy 1, though, I couldn't put down when I played it as a wee lass. I fell asleep playing it.
Have memories of playing pokemon on the bus too but the one that stands out is when I was doing the pokemon duplication trick through the link cable with a friend. One of my bullies thought pokemon was "gay" and ripped the link out between us during the transfer to mess with us. Luckily I ended up with a Gengar anyway.
This reminds me of trails in the sky fc and sc i stayed till 4 oclock in the morning to beat it and has become something speciak for the story. The most recent one for me though is tsukihime vn which now have finished with 101 hours and the story makes me look forward for the sequel and has made me see stuff in my life and the world different
Hmmm Minecraft for me probably. Despite having ridiculous amounts of played time on FFXI and FFXIV MMO's. (30k+ hours played on each one. Total of 19 years subbed between them.) Literally sitting here playing Minecraft on PS3 now. Whilst watching your video. I've said it before, but I think I just like pressing the buttons. Around 2016 or so I think it was, my then wife arranged to take our 2 youngest kids to Edinburgh just for a Saturday night stopover in a posh hotel. Left me to look after the house and menagerie of animals. (ALL hers I'll add. Cats/dogs/birds/fish/horses/ponies and others I'm probably forgetting.) I didn't mind because >>> As I watched her drive up the driveway to exit the house to drive to the train station I started up a new map on Minecraft. And as she drove back in about 35 hours later, I was still sitting there digging a giant hole. I did almost nothing on the map except flatten off a mountain, and just strip mine a 100 X 100 area straight downwards. Hack trees down to make chests to stash all the spoils etc. This was in survival btw. I still never use creative except to test a house design or contraption maybe.
More recently? Lufia 2. But other games that strike me as cannot put down games are: Earthbound, Stranger of Paradise, Tales of Arise, and Zelda: The Minish Cap
8yo Femtrooper getting hype for Pokemon Blue at Xmas reminds me of when I got FF2 (4) for my birthday at age 7. I could not contain my excitement.
The best Christmas!!!
Persona 4 Golden on PS Vita, I played it on the train, at home for hours and hours, at work during lunch break, I was totally obsessed 🤣 To this day P4G is still my favourite Persona game, I love it so so so much 😍

Dragonball z kakarot was so addicting. I beat it on my switch in 1 week. It’s so well made. Top 10 switch game of all time for me.
That’s awesome to hear! I feel like no one talks about it!!!
Usually anything with a great story will have me hooked so games like Xenoblade, Triangle Strategy, Star Ocean Second Story, DQ 11 come to mind for recent games I just couldn’t stop playing! Great video as always Fem!

Unicorn Overlord was really an addiction to me when it launched... So damn good!!!!! Thanks for the video Paige :)
You are most welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Most recently couldnt put down the spiderman games. Spider man remastered, spider man 2 and miles morales were all really good!
Those are so good!!!
This is a great video. When I think back to the games that I obsessed over, it’s typically social gameplay that drove me to stay up until insane hours in the morning.

I’m sure there are plenty of single-player experiences like yours that I’m forgetting right now, or maybe I’m just weak to peer pressure 🙃
Interesting! Didn’t factor in social games like that but totally!
Glad I stuck it out to the end. Mass Effect is by far my favorite series and gaming experiences ever. The definition of "can't put down."
Absolutely!
Wow that clip of you getting Pokémon at Christmas is so special! All of these are great picks. I'm playing through Yakuza 0 ATM an completely agree I can't put it down.

I couldn’t put down Fire Emblem Franchise…so hype always 😊
Such a good series!
Dragon Quest VIII and Dragon Quest XI S... I love those two so much! I'm firmly in the Yangus fan club.
Absolutely amazing!!!
First off, that amazing family memory is so precious! I am huge in capturing moments and that moment literally took me back to when I first got my hands on a GBC and played Pokémon Red for the first time☺️ took me back there
But yea, Yakuza is one of my favorite series of all time, I’m so glad to see Yakuza 0 on your list! It is the entry I always tell newcomers to play! It literally has it all! The side stories in Yakuza games are top tier! Great video !!
Thank you! And I’m glad you love Yakuza 0 too! It’s definitely the best entry point to the series!
Last time I was this early.. Pokemon was so good I couldn’t put it down 😂
Great video and amazing list of games.
That’s fantastic!!! Yay!!!
Thanks, Rusty!!! PLEASE do a video response! That would be so awesome! I’m sure you would have some great picks!
ok P, I got something for ya for this one!
I needed to replay each title at least twice when I got em day 1 and re-explore and look for details that I missed and fully upgrade my weapons (not that I really needed that as an incentive)
Great shout for FF7R - I was the same, I couldnt get break myself away and I also agree that it is my more favoured out of the 2.
Tons of great picks!
Awesome! DQXI made me fall in love with the series!
I absolutely loved playing Yakuza 0 during lock down. The character depth is so deep ❤😊
It’s incredible!!!
Awesome video and what a fricking good list of Games. Love that you included a home video of yourself getting Pokémon for christmas.
As for games I couldn't put down the top spot would go to Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy. I remember playing this as a teen for 16 hours straight. Sleep was the only thing in my way 😂
Also Final Fantasy XIV, Phantasy Star Online, DQXI, Elden Ring, XBC3, Metroid Prime and so much more.
Awesome video Paige! Very wholesome moment with the Pokemon gift! If that was your mom talking you all sound just alike!
Haha, that’s hilarious! And yeah, that’s my Mom!
You won't regret it
I can’t wait for Sky!!!
I wonder if I would like the Atelier games! I really want to try Ryza!
@@PloysMaw Oh good! I’m into turn based, no time limits and I kinda suck at crafting - so based on that which would you recommend?
I LOVED those games even though my friends and my brother thought they were boring 😂
A few years later on SNES I obsessed over Zelda a Link to the Past, Secret of Mana, and Actraiser 😍 god I LOVED those 3 games! And constantly thought about playing them when I was in school lol.
The last time I was truly obsessed with a game was with Fable 2! Romancing all the town people and playing the beer mini game until the sun came up. 😂 😂
Ooooo, one day I would like to try Act Raiser!
Love this!!! And thank you!!!
You had me at whimsy!! New subscriber
Woohoo! Thanks!
The original Spidey on PS4 is incredible! I love them all!
The original Mass Effects Trilogy is one of my favorites, I also love almost all Fire Emblems I’ve played.
I’m certainly due for a replay!
That’s a really good one!
That’s awesome! When a game does that, it’s the best!
Yes to Xenoblade, I was the exact same, couldn't get enough of those plot twists! And the Pokemon hype was real, I wish we could go back in time and relive the craze. Love this video and topic, so much energy and happiness ❤
Thank you!!! Do a response! :)
@@femtrooper Oh yeah, great idea! I might just take up that offer 😉
@@uppernimbus Definitely do it! I love video responses or just seeing someone else’s take! That’s what this is all about! :)
@@femtrooper Sounds great, thanks Paige!
Really nice list of games here! Loved the footage you pulled for that Pokemon R/B part, I was that Pokemon kid as well so I totally got what you were saying haha. Still gotta try Like a Dragon, I can never find a physical PS5 copy for some reason. 🔥
If you find one, definitely pick it up!
Pretty good list!
Thank you!!!
“I guess you do have a game now” ❤😢😢
I can't put down Cat Quest 3. The cat puns are too adorable to ignore 😆😆😆
I’ve been curious about that series!
@@femtrooper There will be a trilogy release this year. Maybe you can consider it 😊
@@chocolocojames213 I heard!!! I’ll have to see if it’s my thing or not!
I got Pokémon Blue for my 11th birthday and it was life changing. I remember sitting in my living room for 4 straight hours and finally getting through Silph Co and realizing my eyes hurt after staring at the screen so long. Pokémon was a complete game changer. I could not put it down.
Yeah, best ever!!! Even when Gold and Silver came out I was SO hyped!!!
Mass Effect 2 is my favorite on this list, then Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii for me) and Pokemon (Blue here!). I sat in my step-brother's room for hours while we each played our copies of Pokemon as a kid. Good memories.
Those are great! The best memories ever are definitely with Pokémon!!!
@femtrooper thanks for replying! Yeah I'm was a huge pokemon head but was unable to pass the love down to my kids. It just didn't take. :(
Still, great memories. Your video was great!
I was crazy addicted to the Like a Dragon games. The side activities are insanely deep. Great list!
So good!!! And thank you!
Dbz the legacy of goku 2, gta vice city, assassins creed black flag, the witcher 3, dbz kakarot, elder scrolls oblivion, fallout 3, final fantasy 10, all games i couldnt put down
Great picks!
@@femtrooper thank you 👊
Infinite wealth was soooooo good! 134 hours in! I was sad when it ended
Me too! I love those characters so much!
First three that come to mind for me are Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (particularly for the map/campaign editor), Minecraft, and No Man's Sky.
Fantastic!
It's been so many years i didnt lack sleep to play video games.
But as a regular way of playing games. From my recent memories.
Pokemon arceus gameplay wise was so fun to me! So hard to put it down!
Of course as a child i was also a fan and bring my pokemon yellow everywhere 🙈
Xenoblade 3 was unexpectedly a blast! ( I didnt really like 2, 1 was ok ).
I can't wait for your video about it!
Trails serie, once the story pick up with many events, it's so hard to put down, kinda samy from what you said about heavy rain.
I had my fun with until dawn, even 100% it. I think i a few days off back then, so once i started it in a dark room ofc, i couldnt put it down 🙈
Until Dawn was awesome! I love those!
I love Heavy Rain!! JAY-SON!
OMG! Haha never forget lol
Hey Femtrooper I have a bunch of games on the super NES that I couldn't put down because they were so amazing and also on the Switch too but I truly like your list of games 😊
Thank you!!!
Have you checked out Visions of Mana yet?
@@corylacy7157 Not yet, but I’ll be buying it soon!
Hey Paige, thanks for the video, yeah I agree with you with the original Pokémon, was so much fun!
Beside that I would say, Skyrim was a game that did that to me and Monster Hunter Rise too, the fact that I own multiple copies of those two might add to that lol
Yay! The original Pokémon craze of the 90s was so special!
Beautiful lipstick
Going old school here but for me Breath of Fire IV was a game I could not put down when it first came out. I am not ashamed to say that there may have been MANY late papers the first few weeks of college that year. ^.^;
Haha, I loooove it!
There are several games I couldn’t put down, Batman Arkham Asylum, Fallout 4, and Elden Ring I had so much fun playing them all. Also I did also have a blast with Pokémon Blue.
Yay!!! Love it!
Great video heavy rain is a classic I really liked the uncharted series. 🎮
Awesome!!! I love that series too!
Nice list Paige! For me I have to go with Deadly Premonition & Detroit Bevome Human.
I agree with Heavy Rain too.
I need to play Deadly Premonition!!!
It’s going to be an epic conclusion for sure!
Great choices!
The only game I was addicted to/couldn't stop was Diablo 2 back in the day. I had a friend that we scheduled when to get on so we could play together. Even when he wasn't on I would lose sleep and once done with work would rush home just to play.
That’s awesome!
I love most of them.
I just started with like a dragon, and IT is fun!!
YAY!!!
I'm a pretty avid gamer, but the games i literally lost sleep over because i could not put down (that i can remember) are BOTW, TOTK, SMT IV and V, xenoblade 3. probably because they are exploration heavy. story heavy games like persona, I usually need mental breaks.
Totally get it! Great list!
I'm lucky enough to still have all my original pokemon games starting with Red/Blue and recently collected every U.S. single main line and spin off games and now need a display case 😁
Sounds amazing!
Oh yes ! DBZ !!!! 😍
Hehe the best!
The ones that I can think of are Resident Evil 2 and 4 remake I loved the originals so when they put out new versions of those classics I played it constantly. Most recently was Mother 3 because I like Earthbound so it was really easy for me to get into the sequel
Mother 3 is phenomenal!!!
Looking very classy today femtrooper!
Thank you!
Pokemon red was definitely the first game I obsessed over lol I remember being in safari zone for hours man trying to catch that damn tauros 😤 good times though ❤
Omg! Totally! I lived and breathed that game!
FF7 Rebirth is the last game that did that to me. 250+ hours in that game felt like 10. I remember having 15 minutes of free time between some obligations and just booting the game to see some minor detail and hear that awesome soundtrack.
It’s incredible!
Oh snap! You beat Xenoblade 3!!
YES!!! Feels good!
@@femtrooper have you had a chance to start the DLC yet? I think I liked it even MORE than the original game!
My childhood game was Metal Gear Solid for PS1, in year 2000 I finished it 16 times.
Wow! That’s amazing!
Yeah, Heavy Rain was GOOD! I also really enjoyed Detroit Become Human!
I just started playing jrpg games last year and I finished Dragonquest XI. It is my favorite jrpg game so far. Such a great game and yes I couldn’t put it down either. Great characters and story, absolutely loved it! Xenoblade chronicles trilogy was really great games too. 😀
YESSSS! You have so much amazingness ahead of you!
A couple that I wasn't able to put down were Yakuza 0, Ys 8 and Divinity: Original Sin 2. Just finished Yakuza 6 recently, can't wait to get into Like a Dragon.
I can’t wait to start Ys 8!!!
For me recently Hades and Octopath Traveler II hooked me hard
That’s awesome!
The game that came immediately to mind for me is World of Warcraft. Gosh, I was so addicted to that game at one point in my life 🤣
Haha, that’s a good answer!!!
Great list!!!
I quite enjoyed Sun/Moon but I didn’t like the last two…guess we’ll see what the next one will be like!
@@femtrooper yep, the bar is set pretty high for modern jrpgs and thats a standard that should be held to mainline pokemon games especially with how much the games sell. I do trust that their next one will be a bit more interesting. I appreciate their efforts though.
Pokemon Gold was my very first game when i got a gameboy color freaking loved it the grandness of the adventure was epic
Such an amazing game!
The Witcher 3 is a game I could not put down. Still the best game I’ve ever played. Also, Persona 5, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and the Like A Dragon games.
Amazing list!
Oh I lost count of the amount of games that I couldn't put down. Many of the same ones you listed, Ys 8 and 9, many Trails games, Zero Escape trilogy, Zelda OOT etc
Ooooo that does remind me that 999 was definitely one I was obsessed with!
That game is AMAZING!!!
@femtrooper Yes it is 😁
I was so tired I thought goku on the thumbnail was sol badguy
For sure the whole Xenoblade series 😅
Lately it’s been Final Fantasy X for me. I just got past who people say the hardest boss is so I’m right at the last area now. It will probably end up as my second favorite in the series at this rate but nothing can top 6 for me realistically.
The Christmas clip was really sweet too 😊
Aw thanks!!! FFX is amazing!
Pokemon red, dbz kakarot and heavy rain are great games I loved them. I almost platinum kakrot but my file on the ps4 got corrupt and I find it hard to start over but some day soon I will go back to it
You should!
I remember Pokemon yellow for the Gameboy. That’s all I played every day all day as a kid.
Another excellent game!
Good memories of when we were kids staying up late playing games!!!
Omg! Haha, that just sounds soooooo late 90s LOL
2:28 - Here, Femtrooper describes the JRPG
;)
Your video opening pokemon its so awesome 😢
Thanks!!!
hi Femtrooper
i recently played RoboCop that i couldn't put down and Final Fantasy 7 remake, RoboCop was messy with a lot of bugs but i still enjoyed it a ton
I’ve heard it’s super fun!
Mass effect..what a great series..my favourite is Andromeda...who cares about graphics and facial animation, that was true exploration
Wow! I should play it then!
I can’t wait to play the remake!!!
Trails of Cold Steel 4, I took some vacation days when I was "near" the end and I probably blew through the last 50 hours in 2 or 3 days.
Wow! That’s amazing!
Hmmm Minecraft for me probably. Despite having ridiculous amounts of played time on FFXI and FFXIV MMO's. (30k+ hours played on each one. Total of 19 years subbed between them.)
Literally sitting here playing Minecraft on PS3 now.
Cats/dogs/birds/fish/horses/ponies and others I'm probably forgetting.) I didn't mind because >>>
As I watched her drive up the driveway to exit the house to drive to the train station I started up a new map on Minecraft.
I’ve still never actually played Minecraft!
More recently? Lufia 2. But other games that strike me as cannot put down games are: Earthbound, Stranger of Paradise, Tales of Arise, and Zelda: The Minish Cap
Man oh man, I am so curious about Stranger of Paradise! It looks ridiculous but I feel like maybe I’d like it!
@@femtrooper don’t take it seriously and you’ll enjoy it
