    It's very great to watch someone that's not "Type A" like you said, going through law school. Really inspirational!

    I kind of like the "untitled" bit! it makes the channel seem as though you're working through a project of both law school and yourself, like you're deciding who and what you'll experience and become along with us as your viewers (and I assume, fellow students or potential law prospects!). I want to thank you for these videos - as other commentators have mentioned and I'm sure you already know, all the information out there about law school or becoming a law student fits a certain personality, and I think a lot of us can doubt ourselves or even talk ourselves out of applying fo law school because we don't fit those same molds. The portrayal of a Law Student and the reality of a person choosing to go to law school are two different things and it is so comforting to almost find a friend in you through watching your videos and listening to your experience with school and the legal field. Thank you!

      Veronica, you are unbelievably kind and your comment makes my day! Thank you so, so much. ☺️ I’m incredibly grateful to be where I am and want to give back however I can. There’s definitely a stereotypical “mold” that people think lawyers fit into, but anyone can be a lawyer (and, more importantly, a GOOD lawyer), regardless of whether they fit that mold. I certainly don’t! I think the legal field needs more people who don’t fit “the mold” anyway. Introverts and Type B personalities are so undervalued. 💕

    Amethyst...great name. I was reminded of a good friend I haven't seen in ages that wore an amethyst pendant and earrings because it was her birthstone. Second, yet another great video! Useful information that is sure to be helpful to up and coming Yale/law (perhaps both) students. Excellent format and presentation! Keep up the good work!

    This was very peaceful cuz of the plants and your voice. Also, I like "untitled law student" as the name for your channel it suits the whole anonymous thing you have going on. And personally, it makes it less about the superficial things about you and more about what you create, produce, and articulate.
    I think could also work to your benefit when looking for jobs after you graduate because your face isn't all over the internet.

    I’m gearing up to go to law school and am working so hard to ensure that I can get into a good law school. I didn’t grow up with any lawyers in my family/circle either, so it’s definitely been an interesting journey so far. I want to practice law within reproductive rights or sexual assault and know it will be a LONG journey. You give me hope that my hard work will pay off ❤️

    YES TO MIKE KIM books!! I have it too and also I'm on the same boat as you were where I study the LSAT prepbooks. I'm writing it this Aug and hope for the best. I'm also thinking of applying to yale next fall.
    I want to ask, for the 250, I'm sort of stuck on how to write one. Can you give me some tips and advices?

    • @untitledlawstudent
      @untitledlawstudent  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! Good luck with the LSAT and with your application - you got this! I actually wrote my 250 last because I was also stuck for a long time. I read a lot of examples online, which kind of helped? I ended up writing about playing music to 'round out' my application, which had been heavily focused on environmental studies up until that point. I would think about what part of your background / experience you'd like to highlight - something that you care about? something that makes you stand out? something that's unique? - and go from there. Ultimately, 250 words is very short, and it's less about substance than style. Make it beautiful, punchy, and engaging! :)

      thank you for watching! i went to undergrad in the US, so in my application i didn't explain why i wanted to be in the US since i was already in the US. if you're applying from canada though, it could be helpful, especially for the "why this particular law school" statements!

    • @untitledlawstudent
      @untitledlawstudent  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you! There aren't many international students in the JD program for some reason. In my year, I think there are around 12 of us (I'm Canadian), and half are Canadian lol. The application is pretty much the same, except there might be an English proficiency requirement for certain countries, and your transcript might be converted differently.

    Great video, but very unrealistic for someone going to a school other than Yale that actually uses a curve (aka the majority of them). I’m currently a 3L and work my tail of Monday-Friday and could never even dream of taking the weekend off if I actually want to get everything done & get a competitive grade 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d say if you plan on going to law school you’re looking at working at least 6 days a week and if you’re going to take entire weekends, you’ll likely need to get ahead to remain competitive.

    • @untitledlawstudent
      @untitledlawstudent  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, absolutely! I'm incredibly grateful to be at Yale and have this privilege, and I'm well aware that if I were at any other school except for Stanford it'd be a completely different experience. Thank you for sharing! :)

    • @untitledlawstudent
      @untitledlawstudent  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the exception of a few weeks in 1L fall where I was behind on everything, it actually feels quite a bit lighter? I think it's because I did a lot of extracurriculars in undergrad and I was stressed about grades. I also went to a liberal arts college and did two majors with a ton of reading and writing, including a senior thesis.
