Thank you so much for this inspiring video. I'm in a dark place right now and it helps me to think about finding my own way to go back to bouldering. Thank you Jon, and thank you Allison.
really inspiring! especially as someone else who specifically enjoys climbing and training alone - sometimes I feel like I need to justify that. and the bit about just needing to be better next session - i'm going to hold onto that!
Wow, i'm humbled and inspired by how focussed and driven you approach the sport. It puts me with my feet on the ground when i think i train hard or consider it to be. It gives a beautifull insight in the mind of a driven athlete and i'll try to learn from your mindset in becoming better and setting new standards for myself. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, insight and story. I also wish you lot's luck in rediscovering the joy of climbing with friends, because those moments will give you the energy to reach your wildest goals..
Thank you for the psyche Allison. Brushing off the tick marks afterwards was very poignant - as well as something we don't see often. Thank you for the very personal insight.
She says "not everyone can handle my emotions when I climb" I just think of me screaming fuck in the middle of a packed gym and then really trying to make it seem like I didn't do that
She definitely hasn’t lost the social part, I know her and she often does climb and enjoy climbing with others. She is just describing here how it has helped her to train alone
As an introvert, I feel for her. Glad she didn’t lose the sport, just the parts that weren’t working - shows a lot of clarity
I feel like downloading the audio, her talking about this struggle is immensely meditative.

That precise and perfect ticking! 🥰
As someone who climb for both the challenges and the social part I find sad that she lost the second part :(
Yet I respect it of course
