    I think this is the most I've ever learned from a single video. I think I'm way stronger than the grad I climb at, I've been doing calisthenics for a few years now, never realized how inefficient my movement really was.

  • @marc5279
    @marc5279 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    climbing efficiency coaches are going to be the future because at this point everyone seems to be stronger than what they should be climbing. This woman is the boss for showing it so clearly, and she's very professional aswell.
    I never thought about this difference between the inside/outside flags, i knew they both existed but i thought they served the same purpose so i've stick with the outside for everything. I'm sure gonna try the inside one and give it a good chance. Thanks Hannah!

  • @aspzx
    @aspzx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +192

    The inside flag is so useful and so under-used. This is a great demonstration of when to use it vs the outside flag. I find it really useful when you have to reach high on small footholds and you don't have the option to swap feet.

    This right here i why i keep telling people "anyone can do bouldering" if you lack the strength then you require more technique, people like myself who have the strength often use it to compensate for the lack of technique. This video is incredibly informative and i'm definitely going to try and use these techniques when i go climbing next, i'm still fairly new and i think i may have accidentally used the hip swing into the wall a few times. Hopefully i can get this ingrained into my head while i'm still new so i can save my strength and boulder for a longer period of time

    This was such a refreshing watch. Brilliant coach, could listen for hours, and really nicely edited. The 25 minutes went by in a flash. I would imagine using the support arm as a lever through the entire movement feels awkward, but your movements look so dialled and effortless that way.
    For sure gonna apply these drills in my next sessions. Compared to Be, my biceps-dependency makes me look like a brute gym rat misplaced on a climbing wall. :o

    This was awesome! When outside flags finally clicked for me was a major boost to what I could climb. Really psyched to see if I can do this with inside flags as well. Thank you!

    Saved this. Really appreciate documenting this breakdown. I am stuck on 10’s and mostly get thru them from upper body strength.
    In my 30’s and appreciate the path of least resistance method.
    Gonna start working with these tools and try to better identify when to use them! Thank you!

    Well I can’t wait to try this out. This is exactly what I needed. I always thought I was too short, now I am realizing I am not using my hips and legs near enough.

    Thank you both Hannah Morris and Be Fuller for sharing this most insightful lesson in efficiency of correct movement patterns in ones quest to becoming a climber...Poetry in human motion explained and demonstrated in such a beautifully simple way. Much appreciated and keep up the great work! All my best. Marc

    Brilliant video! Great to hear the coaching cues/concepts given. Stuff that I do without thinking and had a hard time trying to convey to people myself. This will help me help other people. Thanks!

    Watch this just before my session yesterday and it was a true eye opener... Im reaching intermediary grades and im struggling to see how to improve techniques that I know of but dont master. This was so interesting, and so chill as well, it made me want to have a coach ahah. Thank you to both of you for this!!
