Maybe a few years down the line, if I decide to get a N scale layout and I buy Skarloey, Rusty etc. I'll be definitely go into Shapeways to buy these. They look fantastic!
Hey mate, took delivery of a few coaches and wagons today of yours, I must say they're bloody brilliant! I can also report that the N scale wheels available from Graham Farish will fit your wagons albeit with some mods to the wagons. To make these wheels fit you'll need to open up the axlebox holes slightly with a 1.5mm drill bit and make a V notch in the bottom of one of the axle boxes for the wheels to slip in. If you do these mods the wagons roll brilliantly. I'll make a video when my next lot of stuff shows up to show what I mean. Keep up the good work man! Eagerly awaiting my next order to show up!
I tried making skate trucks out of balsa wood, but it fell apart completely. This is a way better looking model than I could ever make. Keep up the good work my friend.
Awesome models! I've made my own hand built slate wagons, goods van, brake van, flat bed and coal cars. They took forever and the chassis certainly is rough to say the least. At least you have these now for us folks to use, and when I get at least one Skarloey, I'll look to your store first for an affordable option. Hope you will model the coaches someday, cause that is the next thing the Skarloey Railway needs.
Now these are the slate trucks I had hoped bachamann would create not the ones that are based on the talyllyn railway stock, don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with that but growing up with the series I would prefer to have the stock that looks like the series. You have a customer here my friend and I look forward to your future creations :)
Your very welcome, your stock is the stock I was hoping bachmann would create, really look forward to more of your stock. On that note I was wondering if you were ever going to do loads haha, I saw the pictures and saw one was enough =
I noticed =) its something I intend to order in the near future. For 009? I can't think of many loads the little engines carried apart from slate and coal
4:17 Brake van thing? You mean a caboose lol. But in all seriousness these look very nice. I'd love to see what other models you will come up with in the future.
Looks awesome man! I’m American and just thought I’d mention that an “American brake van” is called a caboose. I just looked it up to make sure there wasn’t much difference but I was surprised to read that they’re not exactly the same thing; a brake van (as I’m sure you already know) serves as a place for crew members to ride and also as a supplemental braking system for trains that aren’t equipped with continuous braking systems, but a caboose served as a sort of rolling office for the conductor and brakemen to ride and didn’t have anything to do with braking oddly enough. If your interested in reading the article here’s the link; en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caboose
Huh, that is interesting. I always used Brake Van and Caboose interchangeably when talking about american rolling stock, though as a British railway fan, I preferred to use Brake Van.
Ok … honestly I have no issues with the skarloey official slate wagons tho them prices for them are WOW and me wanting THOUSANDS I can’t sell things … I honestly will just make these from resin . Paint them and use the paper clip method and some peco wheels from a model shop . Yeah .
Those look great. But I've got two questions. 1. Where did you get those coaches from? 2. Are you gonna make other SKR rolling stock that bachmann either doesn't make or is inaccurate?
I got the coaches from a different seller on Shapeways, and yes I will be making more SKR rolling stock soon. I have a few prototypes on the way right now, in fact.
Shapeways should definitely be able to ship to Brazil, but if youre interested in discussing purchasing the files feel free to contact me through Twitter or on my email, elsbridgeproductions@gmail.com
I tried to make them as cheap as possible. The actual model cost so much to make and then I added a very small amount to have in revenue, so it comes out to about 8 USD which I have to say, it a lot better of a price than what Bachmann is asking for.
Expensive? Bachmann is asking for $30 US and that's just one wagon. For only $32 US you can get 3 Peco slate wagons from ehattons. Those prices are still missing shipping plus tax. He sells his own 3D printed ones at $8.49. Yes they need paint, wheels, and couplings but you should generally have all of that laying around if you've been working with Narrow Gauge.

I actually just uploaded a slate load for the slate trucks! Did you have any other ideas for loads?
I noticed =) its something I intend to order in the near future. For 009? I can't think of many loads the little engines carried apart from slate and coal
Robtheredengine yeah that's what I thought, thanks anyway! I'm glad I could supply you with the stuff you need!
Thanks for these tips

Toad139 yeah, I just much prefer to use the British terminology. And thanks! There'll be more rolling stock soon!
+Elsbridge Productions I would personally love to see some TV series accurate narrow gauge open wagons.
Well I am in fact working on them, too so you probably won't have to wait long!
+Elsbridge Productions Great! Looking forward to it!
This is amazing! I will definitely get some very soon :).
Awesome! Thanks!
You're most certainly welcome.
Lovely work. Hopefully I will purchase a few of these, but I'm currently focusing on Duncan before buying anymore rolling stock. Good job 👏
Cheers!

Elsbridge Productions I’m a British railway fan myself, even more so than American!

RichardBlue cheers!
i like how they are cheap so i could get multiple of them
matthew hassard haha that's the idea!
Do you make faces for any of your 009 model's?
I buy some faces from shapeways and paint them
what track do u use for your n gauge track that is?
Peco and Graham Farish Track
heya , what material are the slate trucks made from?
Different plastics, depending on the version you buy.
Would you sell just the project (the file) to me? I coild print here. I live in Brazil and I dont think the product will arrive here...
Shapeways should definitely be able to ship to Brazil, but if youre interested in discussing purchasing the files feel free to contact me through Twitter or on my email, elsbridgeproductions@gmail.com
hey where are you from
Australia
how did you make the narrow gauge coaches?
I didn't make those ones, but I will be making my own ones to sell on shapeways soon hopefully!
Elsbridge Productions Please! it would be wonderful to add.
Elsbridge Productions will you be trying to also make the open carriages?
I have no plans to make them just yet, but anything is possible!
how did u make the coaches
I bought them from another seller on Shapeways, but I hopefully should be making some of my own to sell soon!
ok thanks and amazing video btw ur a big inspiration for me :)
Ha, thank you!
ur welcome xD
may i ask why they are soo expensive?

All trucks are troublesome no matter what kinda they are
