I like Linda Smith. I'm glad some of her work was recorded. I have particularly liked listening and relistening to "Linda Smith's A Brief History of Timewasting." She died about six years after this episode. Chawd? Chad. Most famous was the "hanging chad," which was still clinging by one edge.
funny that the leg stretching lead to NHS criticism and not a massive shitstorm against the airline.. Not a fan of everything that happens in PC world but some things have changed for the better... Remember an episode where the good news was that homosexuals are not prosecuted anymore if found in the UK army, only just fired. And it was the 90's.

I've just discovered Linda Smith via this episode; what a shame she died so young, hugely funny in an understated way.
Thanks for posting,
How times have changed in 2021 Paul wouldn't have been allowed into the studio in that state.
Rest In Peace Linda you were great.
Thanks.
Fancy seeing Jeremy Bowen - heard him for years on BBC World Service. Taller than I expected.
18 years later, almost to the day, Florida is recounting a recount of a recount of an election. Florida, yes, it really is that bad.
Those were the days, coughing dying & still get paid 😎
