- In this video i'm going to quickly show you how to install a CR Touch or BLTouch on your Ender 3v2 so you can create a precision bed mesh for perfect first layers every time. By the end of this video you will have all the information you need to install the probe, update your firmware, create a bed mesh and set a Z offset.

It is of the utmost importance that the BLtouch and the nozzle are at the same Y to get best results: since the print head will pull down the X extrusion a bit, it will be down the most in the middle. If sensor and nozzle are at different Y, the bowing down will be different, multiplied by (Y_sensor - Y_extrusion)/(Y_nozzle - Y extrusion)
Of yourse the X offset also causes loss of accuracy, but no amplification takes place.
Hi, I recently got the CR TOUCH and am curious what the difference is between the standard jyers and the UBL 10x10 and 15x15 versions. Is it really worth it? Also when my probe goes to touch the bed it does not retract, it goes down, presses the bed and comes back up all without retracting. The light goes blue red then up back to blue then red. Then goes to the next spot, little confused on this and any help wil be much appreciated
After installing the CR touch and the file to my printer it will not auto home. I went in to the motion portion and noticed my numbera didnt match the factory settings so changed thwm back to the factory numbers. What have a imissed or what do i need to change now?
what if you have a sonic pad? I see no way to install the firmware. My printer just hums when I try to home it or move the print head.
Now I just need one on doing this with a sprite pro on an ender 3 v2 and a car touch, mine doesn’t seem to line up right for some reason
Hi I enjoy your videos and have learned much from them. I have a question, I installed the cr touch on my Ender 3 v2 and it works as advertised.I have Jyres firmware installed, My problem is that with a power loss it doesn't continue when selected on power return but starts the job over from the beginning. Also when I pause the print, turn off the power and continue later it seems to go to last x/y and start but always starts high and never contacts the print item. Don't know if this is normal? Thanks
Hi, mine's next to me so I just tried it. Mine picks up right where it left off as it should. It sounds like something must be a little different with your setup.
Hi Rick, i have just purchasedd a Ender 3 V2 (not set up yet) , I have also purchased the filament sensor and the CR touch. I was considering loading Jyers firmware straight off the cuff , would this be advisable? or do you think I should go standard then too Jyers?
If it were me, I would get your machine setup and printing first. The V2 can be a little bit fiddly to setup and adding in other variables could just cause you a headache. Run through all of the stages in this video as you setup to make sure you check everything that can need attention and you should be good th-cam.com/video/LV1Nnohwqik/w-d-xo.html .
Once you have had a few good prints from it, maybe then go for Jyers for a while before the CR touch and then the filament sensor last. I think that way you will have a printer you can be using and learning on, can upgrade in manageable stages and nothing will be too big a step to throw you off if there are any hiccups. Are you measuring in mm?
I was unable to "activate leveling" until it had first established a mesh. Not a big deal, I made sure the BL Touch did stop the Z travel before the nozzle hit the bed plate and then did "Create New Mesh". Then I could check the "Leveling Active" checkbox.
Ah ok thanks Pat, I only found the option after I'd created a mesh, didn't realise it wasn't selectable until the mesh had been created.
I can’t get the cr touch i orderd to work I get the file on the micro as but it won’t upload the file to the printer
Hey I was downloading the firmware and it curopted and now my printer won't turn on it just beeps over and over
I did everything but when i start the print it starts to level and it loses heat

Did you put the card with the file in before turning the power on? You could try changing the file name too, sometimes that confuses things. Make sure the file is in the root directory (not in a folder on the card).

Don't u need to remove the z axis cable thingy from the motherboard?
No, you can leave it connected to the motherboard but disconnect the switch and remove it.
