Danny phantom biggest problem was that the villains weren’t really given backstories or really good motives to why they are evil . To me the only really flush out villains are vlad phamus and dark Danny . This is just my opinion , let me know what you think .
Sure, Ember did had a backstory. On the Danny Phantom Wiki according one of the directors of the show, before she died, Ember was an unpopular high school girl who strongly dreamed of one day becoming a rock star. One day, a boy asked her out to the movies. She waited all night for him to show up, saying, "He's just running late." When morning came and he still didn't show up, Ember gave up on waiting and went home. She was so exhausted that she fell asleep and didn't wake up when her house mysteriously caught on fire. Why they didn’t showed in the show was probably due to her backstory being a little dark (That’s just my theory.) And her motivates can easily be that she wants to become a world famous rockstar. And there’s also Desiree who’s actually has a backstory. Before she died, Desiree was a harem girl who won the heart of a sultan. He promised to grant her all of her heart's desires and even a kingdom of her very own. However, she was cast away from the palace by the sultan's jealous wife. After dying of a broken heart and old age, Desiree's spirit wandered around as a ghost genie, forever granting others' wishes, but at a great personal cost. And there’s also Sidney Poindexter (Who’s not really villain but more as an antagonist who was trying to do the right thing but due to a misunderstanding.) who has been bullied so many times his ghost still roams around locker 724 and wants to defend anyone from bullies. I can understand you’re criticism as fellow Danny Phantom fan.
You know, one thing I never understood about Ember in Danny Phantom is why Sam wasn’t into her like it seemed like Emver would 100 percent be Sam’s sort of thing I guess because she was too popular, so Sam automatically didn’t like her even though she matched Sam’s style pretty on point: goth antiestablishment edgy
