this gundam has a lot of memories.... i bought it last year and put it together with my gf but she’s gone now i wish i can tell her that i complete this build.
For the connection peg: Grab one of the holders you get on the standard Action bases that are meant for legacy models that didn't include a holder. Makes it a lot more stable.
I think that the Ignition Mode is the definitive MG Exia. It comes with everything you need for the Exia. Exia + the repair 1 parts. The Ignition mode is definitely for people who are a fan of anime Exia.
Besides it's out of box issues, it is a great kit! I wish bandai made more expansion style kits like that, as opposed to going P-bandai ALL of the time.
Building Exia myself, I can really see what you mean with the arms. I've all but given up on it, and the arms are the only things I have left to build, Rest of the kit came together pretty good honestly.

Yep. Any P-Bandai kit with colors is retailed. Everytime I pass by the toy stores in a mall in my country, I find like 2-5 Turn Red Astrays right next to the standard releases.

Since you asked about where this is and isn’t P Bandai then, i believe anywhere outside Japan that being The US, China, Korea, etc this is a standard retail kit so is the XN raiser and Turn red

Fun fact the new copies of Exia and the delta plus are from what I have heard, are better than the older copies cause the frames have slightly altered plastics

I just finished building my first ever gundam and it was this one, but HG 1/144 scale, and let me tell you... Very pleasurable build, but when assembled I can't even breath around it or it will completely disassemble and somehow mold back into its runners...
Well then he asked for it. This year next mgex ver ka is exia and next year mgex (or he’ll even this summer) is banshee and banshee norn (or both in the box since they have to bring the price tag up somehow) so you may or may not get your wallet ready twice

If you thought the MG Avalanche Exia has a bad build, do NOT get the HG Avalanche Exia, it's 30% stickers and has a weird hip joint and it doesn't come with any beam effects, the only redeeming factor is that it reuses the runners and stickers (there's 2 sheets of stickers, one from the normal exia, one exclusive to the avalanche, the normal exia stickers are for the GN condensers on the chest and head) of the HG Exia so you can build a normal Exia instead of the Avalanche, which is a plus
Just imagine a giant robot skiing down a mountain using swords as poles bringing an avalanche behind it.

The dash parts act as extra legs already, it's impossible for it to topple. Unless you have it built as the avalanche only.

According to official sources, those racks have sliding gimmicks that deliver the blades underneath the arms for easy access.

Building Exia myself, I can really see what you mean with the arms. I've all but given up on it, and the arms are the only things I have left to build, Rest of the kit came together pretty good honestly.
I've heard that P-Bandai MG Exia repair III will be released this June. It looks like there will be no MG Exia 2.0 anytime soon.
most likely not until next year,.this year is the MG virtue.
Hopefully we get the Exia 2.0 so we can custom build the avalanche with the better kit

The og, exia is really easy to fix up. Grab a flight stand glue that gn drive and have a blast
