    Our song while dating, going steady, engagement, in marriage that lasted 57 years & 5 months til my sweetheart died when God called. Our 4 children & I will always remember & be thankful for all the love & care he gave us. Be with God.hes been gone 5 years now & this song still brings tears. It will be forever ours.

    I think the boys looked at each other so much was down to the preciseness of the phrasing and timing of the songs. Probably started when they were young kids. Incredible harmonies. Hard to keep a dry eye. Never seen anyone better, never will. Sweet dreams guys

      Their father taught them to sing and I wouldn't be surprised if he taught them that technique when they were children.

      This concert came from years of being estranged from each other. I think that, at this point, the lyrics actually meant something to them.

    Has anyone noticed how much Don & Phil look at each other at their Reunion Concert - compared to their earlier early days?? Perhaps maybe because they were being taped, or because they were out of practice??
    I noticed it a lot. Needless to say,
    they were great with their unmistakeable harmony!!!❤️❤️🥰🥰

    • @pauljohnson650
      @pauljohnson650 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      A bit of both really, mostly so that Phil could synchronise his harmony line with that of Don's lead line.

      2alfching2499 - When I learned that Operation Mockingbird is a CIA media mind control operation to sway public opinion by framing the news to convince the public that black is white, I finally understood the Kennedy Assassination and Dealy Plaza, or how a reporter could stand directly in front of the South Tower and read from her teleprompter that the tower we could plainly see had been hit by a plane and had just fallen. So how long have you been with the agency?

      @peterdoel6447 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@fionagreaves2836 You could not be more wrong, although your reply is somewhat ambiguous. This performance as great, it can move me to tears, no debate. To say everything after is 'garbage' is ridiculous and, frankly, insulting. There have been, and will continue to be, singers, bands, groups who have, and will continue, to make beautiful music. The Everly Brothers are on a continuum , you may have stopped listening decades ago but, if you opened your ears and your mind, you will get so much more.

      @@peterdoel6447 Not according to some of those with more music knowledge than you!! Try "Wings of Pegasus"!! One of his topics is "this is why you will NEVER HEAR a voice like Judy Garland's again" as he discusses "auto-tuning" and other conditions in the music business that have had an impact on what is offered up as music.
      It might be saved though through some of the young talent coming up who can actually sing like Jackie, Angelina, Diana, Morissette, Luke and a few others.

    • @CalebAchsah
      @CalebAchsah 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@brgilbert2 - When Fil ("Wings of Pegasus") explains the brothers' guitar rhythms and how they each play complementary notes of the same chord, I hear what I never understood before about synchronous instrumentation. When he explains how nearly impossible it is for two singers to slide up to and through a note at exactly the same time so that their consonant sounds are precisely matched, it happens again. The man is truly brilliant and gives such profound understanding of what we're actually hearing. After Fil explains it, I listen again, and then I get it!

    • @CalebAchsah
      @CalebAchsah 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @peterdoel6447 - I agree with you that this version of "Let It Be Me" is absolutely the most beautiful, the most perfect harmony the brothers ever produced, and this song is the favorite song of each brother! (In this concert, I so appreciate the way that they look at each other!)
