I have come from the Future, You can enter Classic Scarlet Monastery by buying a Scarlet Key in the AH. MrGM should have a video on the rest of the details. But you can access all the classic wings and the removed wings as well

Old Scholo was one of my favs. Seeing how much work has to go into unlocking this brings back fond memories of dungeon and raid attunement. I miss those days...
Videos like this is really nice to follow step by step, but for future videos it would be nice if you had a list of all items you need beforehand from AH and things like this so you don't need to go back in the middle of doing things

Note that if you did the questline around Scholomance from the good ol' days and decided to keep your Spectral Essence from then, you can just retrieve it from your bank (I would assume you aren't actually carrying it around now) instead of crafting a new one. Always knew it would come in handy again!

Just to add, if you did everything and Eva did not give you an inert spectral essence and you did play through the old scholomance questline back in vanilla, check your bank for a spectral essence. Same goes for the argent dawn commission, speak to Alliance: Argent Quartermaster Lightspark - Chillwind Camp or Horde Argent Quartermaster Hasana - Tirisfal Glades .
Something you missed....YOU NEED TO BE AT LEAST HONORED WITH THE ARGENT DAWN IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE DREAD CITADEL NAXXARAMAS. If you have no characters with AD rep, go do Fiona's caraven until they reach light's hope, do the quest in the catacombs, and that'll get you revered. Please do this before hand.

i love the idea that you can enter the old version of changed dungeons/raids via alternative routes. i realy hope blizz will do that with all the changed ones ( aka sunken temple for exemple). btw if you have the spectral essence back from vanilla , that one will work as well.
It's worth noting that the game object at 8:18 (the one that you will eventually transform into your Argent Dawn Commission) will not appear if you already have the Argent Dawn Commission in your bags or your bank. Also note that you may have previously upgraded your Commission to a Seal of the Dawn or a Rune of the Dawn. Both of these trinkets still count as an Argent Dawn Commission, so keep that in mind when using the search bar in your inventory.
Out of all the guides on this topic this is by far the best one, only thing I'd suggest in the future is have all the mats you need to buy off the ah either in the description or in the first few minutes of the video, for people like me who played the video while doing the objectives simultaneously, other than that tiny gripe, amazing job broski, well done.
10:27 I'd recommend a rank 3 Charged Phial of Alacrity and Dried Bonefish alongside any other speed boosting stuff you can get, gear with speed/speed enchantments, class abilities etc for this section.
did it as a warrior and just booked it also i think you can pre clear it then bonk the ward so you can beeline there instead of dealing with all the side shit and adds
@@ryantwomey3463 just tried and the ward didn't spawn anything, so apparently you cannot go into the other wing before you break the ward I got there in time with a frost mage when did it properly a word of caution though, go left first, then backtrack and go around the east of the gauntlet; the gate west of the gauntlet is a trap and kills your try

It is a source for some of the items/mounts no longer in the game; you have to bid on them alongside everyone else on your server. You can find the current one underneath the whelping daycare in Valdrakken (location of BMAH seems to change every expansion).
I love how they added in Tier 3 and hate that they made it just as unobtainable as the BMAH. Why didn't they just add in Vanilla Naxx for peeps to farm?
This makes it obtainable. Previously someone on BMAH could max it and you wouldn't have a chance. Now it is obtainable. It's not something that's meant to be 1 and done in a weekly reset. Have toons specc to making yourself the bop materials and stack gold. It sounds like the gold requirement is your problem.
The gate actually opened to get the quest mob after killing Ramstein, I went back to kill Rivendare after I destroyed the quest mob... in case you are running short on time.
By the way small tips, once the stratholm part finished you can go speak to the archmage with any characters not necessary the one that finish stratholm, using the one with the better reputation with Argent dawn will save you some gold :)
This is awesome! Collectible things like this with a time sink requirement makes a lot of sense because it gives a sense of achievement when you do it or that wow! factor when you see someone who has done it.
so the strathholme runing from the living side to the baron rivendare was SUPER tight for me i'm a dk i litterly only had 2 seconds left on my debuff so all i can recomend get any and all types of speed buff spell or pots or what ever it was really tight geting it done before the time run out
It's all fairly easy to do, but getting the lamented crusader pieces seems extremely rare. I've done naxx on a stupid amount of characters this week trying to get a chest. At least 50 tries, no chest. I've checked some higher pop realms and they are going for 1-2m.
Yep, happy to see old stuff from Classic return. Not to mention the bosses that can be summoned by the Brazier of Invocation have returned as well (The ones in Old Scholomance and Strathholme, the rest I'm sure you can be able to summon with the item before the patch). Shame though that I don't have the item to summon those bosses and no longer obtainable :(
This was cool! A few things that I noticed was on my main I was able to skip a few parts in the quest. Also I still had the argent Dawn trinket that also have attack power was also the trinket you end up making lol 😂 spent about 30 ish mins in Rattlegore pits looking for the broken one when I forgot I had the upgraded one from long back
great guide so far i have almost have all the things for the candles and did the stuff before hand but i have to say you dont have cords in anywhere and the stratholme live entrance did not work the first few times i have to set it to heroic and then i would let me enter the live side otherwise i was ported to undead side but what really bugged me was that you have no cords as you reapeatly said
HUGE SIDE NOTE: If you are doing the ''Dread Citadel'' quest on one of your alts or main, make sure you are honored with Argent Dawn or Archmage Angela Dosantos wont complete this quest for ya, so its gonna take a bit for get all that rep. Make sure to do it with a character that has the rep already.
I personally already have Tier 3 for Warrior, Pally, Warlock, Mage and Rogue. I like that others will have a chance to get it even tho it's going to cost them an arm and a leg lol. I was really hoping to get my hands on the OG corrupted ashbringer :(
That wouldn't make sense since the only reason to have the corrupted ashbringer is to bring it to the Scarlet Monastery. Maybe when old school SM is introduced something will happen .
They forgot to add in the insane amount of $$ spent getting cursed cloth or languished leather commission crafted so realistically one can expect to spend closer to $4 million for the full Tier 3 set

-it's not 100% drop for the krastinov bag of horrors toy. It's really close though. Like 95% -If Eva Sarkoff bugs out on you and doesnt give you the inert spectral essence, it's because you already have one in either your bags or bank, as it was part of the quest line to upgrade your dungeon 1 set to the dungeon 2 set. --If you do not see the cracked argent dawn commission on the bone pile in rattlegore's room in OG scholomance it's because you already have one, either the argent dawn commission or the upgraded seal of the argent dawn version. If you have had one in the past but deleted it you can get a new one from the Argent Quartermaster Hasana at the bulwark if horde and Argent Quartermaster Lightspark at chillwind point if alliance. -You cannot try and cheese the speed run sleight of hand portion of the unlock by clearing "dead" side first, all the ziggurats and rivendare must be alive before you begin the speed run. -You can group up with people for the timed portion of Stratholme, also bear tartare food helps. and dont loot until after you kill the hand of naxxramas. -Completing the full fiona's caravan questline will take you to revered rep with argent dawn, and unlocks two repeatable quests that give 2000 rep every time you complete them, one to kill rattlegore in new scholomance and a quest to loot the annals of silver hand, the annals are in the room opposite Balnazzar in "live" side of Stratholme in the crusader's citadel. You can loot the annals,leave the instance (do not reset the instance) take it to the quest giver and pick up the quest again loot the annals again and repeat till exalted.

Once he got to that part it really deflated my excitement. With the cost of the cloth it's already a gold sink. Finding people willing to craft the items for you for a reasonable price is going to make it even worse.
Sed the extra action button before timer ran out. Didnt get the emote that you got. Tried to reset dungeon but wards wont drop from the Eye mobs anymore.
Massive cost, but it’s understandable given that people who bought t3 on the bmah now have an opportunity to make that gold investment back. And if you complete a full set you can recover some of the cost by helping others. It’s a complex and deep system.. but I think that’s okay for optional old transmogs. Overall I think this is a W for blizz
@@Bonebounder93 gold is so easy to make, I don’t understand why people buy tokens. The total cost here is only around 3M for the set. The same money as the spider mount and less than the brutasaur, sure 3M isn’t chump change.. but if you want the set it’s less than other vanity gold sinks that allready exist and should only take a few months to make the gold to afford.
After we gotten the Ward, Can we go over to the dead side and clear everything? (Except for the main boss at the end) Then do the process of running through the dungeon to kill the shade or something?
Works as Patch of 11.0.5.57212 , getting Toy took me 17 try's. To get the quest done you need to have Argent Dawn Exalted (Not Argent Crusade) , you can buy Tokens for 50 Timewalking Tokens during Classic event from the Vendor in Tanaris. Happy Farming and 20th Anniversary Event.
If I have the t3 achievement on a plate class, but I want to craft the rogue set, should I level classic leatherworking on the plate class? or can I just do leatherworking on the rogue, and craft with the rogue, because drop dead gorgeous is account-wide?
Logic and the frames from the video tells me you only need the achievement to buy the patterns so i would bet you can buy them with any char if you have achievement
Just farm corrupted scourgestones to buy the pattern for cursed cloth and languished leather to mail to your other alts since the patterns are account wide. Just make sure the tailor and leatherworker you are sending to them are maxed out classic profession
Tier 3 is/was cool because so few people ever managed to get it. Seeing someone back in vanilla with even a few pieces was quite something. No one on my old server ever managed to get more than a few, and I don´t think anyone killed Kel´thuzad even in tbc
15 bloody seconds, 15 seconds left when i had to kill all the undead before the Black Guard, but did the Black Guard spawn quickly? NOPE, so i gonna have to go back on an alt xD, thank you for the video though Dan :)
Notes I'd like to add / personal anecdotes: - It took me 10 runs of Heroic Scholomance to get Krasinov "The Butcher" to spawn and get my toy. That was me running on 8 characters over the course of 2 days (got it on my 2nd character of day 2). So, good luck with that. Your results may vary, but I thought to add my personal "odds". - Running the dungeon from Ward of Naxxrammas to Baron Rivendare and to the Eye took my Paladin 4 and a half minutes, so 30 seconds to spare, if anyone was wondering. She is not specced to be particularly fast and I didn't have a speedset, running at 110% normally with incremental buffs to speed. So, that being said- it can get close! Don't expect to just make the cut without having SOME form of speed boost. Hunters and Rogues probably won't have as hard a time as I did (still, I got it first try so don't worry too much about it). - If you're having trouble finding Archmage Angela Desantos like I did, she can (also) be found in Tyr's Hand (not labeled on the map but is the green area directly under Light's Hope Chapel) at coordinates 72.6, 74.8 right under the front gates. This is assuming you have 0 quests done in that area. If you've started the quests but haven't finished them then she'll be near the fountain at 76.1, 75.4. She appears at Light's Hope Chapel just as seen in the video after the quests for Tyr's Hand are complete. - Getting Rep with the Argent Dawn: this is for the quest mentioned above from Archmage Desantos. You can increase your reputation with the Argent Dawn by turning in Scourgestones at Duke Nicholas Zverenhoff at the tent to the right of the chapel. 10 Invader's Scourgestones (obtained from Stratholme and Scholomance) grant you 150 reputation. That means to get from 0 Neutral to 0 Honored it would cost 600 Invader's Scourgestones. Yikes. I cannot find another way to gain rep with the Argent Dawn but I had this at Exalted on my old main so I switched to him for the remainder of this portion. I don't know why peoples' advice about Fiona's Caravan didn't work for me- it would only give me Argent CRUSADE rep. This quest requires Argent DAWN rep. Maybe it changed since 11 months ago when this video was posted. - The Naxxrammas Portal stone is at the specific coordinates 35.7, 23.1 I'm not interested in the armor sets so this is where the journey ends for me. Just wanted the portal to Naxx and ability to go back to old scholomance (and eventually get the mount). Thanks for the vid and I hope my comment helped anybody trying this.
Question is when will blizzard put a dungeon journal for Old Scholomance. oh and have not seen where the scholomance ancient patterns come from since in game ui says Discovery Scholomance so I doubt they come from the Naxx npc's slime covered scrolls.
For anyone like me that grabbed the femur before talking to Eva and found out you could not talk to her to get the essence. Just go outside of the dungeon and to the right of the dungeon entrance Eva is standing there next to Lucien. Talk to her and she will give you another essence.
do you need a actual fishing pole equipped cuz I have been fishing for like 20 mins and no abomination chain any thoughts? or maybe a specific skill in fishing?

Is it true that you can only do the Dread Citadel - Naxxramas quest if you have at least Honored with the Argent Dawn? I can't turn it in with just Neutral.
Not sure how you figure 5 minutes is plenty of time to run to dead strat, kill all those things, and rivendare. MY 5 minutes ran out while I was still outside his chamber w/a couple more groups to kill. That's on a rogue with fast stealth and sprint. Maybe if I go ahead and kill everyone except rivendare then go back to live side, use ward, run back, kill him then do the finishing step it would be fine. The guide up to that point has been perfect, so I'm happy to see the old instance back. Hopefullly UBRS is next, I miss The Beast

I deleted my old Spectral Essence from back in the day and I didn't need the reagents for a new one. Eva just gives it to you. Very nice touch!

You can get Phylacterweave from those items that generate random armor, happened to me.

The BMAH may still be the most affordable way to acquire T3 depending on your server, so keep that in mind if you still want T3.

you dont need to kill Rivendare. his door never opened for me so i just killed Ramstein and went right to the hand.

Yeah and the 1-2m is way cheaper than it costs to purify the desecrated gear you get from the lamented, so prepare yourself

This was cool! A few things that I noticed was on my main I was able to skip a few parts in the quest. Also I still had the argent Dawn trinket that also have attack power was also the trinket you end up making lol 😂 spent about 30 ish mins in Rattlegore pits looking for the broken one when I forgot I had the upgraded one from long back

great guide so far i have almost have all the things for the candles and did the stuff before hand but i have to say you dont have cords in anywhere and the stratholme live entrance did not work the first few times i have to set it to heroic and then i would let me enter the live side otherwise i was ported to undead side but what really bugged me was that you have no cords as you reapeatly said

If you are doing the ''Dread Citadel'' quest on one of your alts or main, make sure you are honored with Argent Dawn or Archmage Angela Dosantos wont complete this quest for ya, so its gonna take a bit for get all that rep. Make sure to do it with a character that has the rep already.

I personally already have Tier 3 for Warrior, Pally, Warlock, Mage and Rogue. I like that others will have a chance to get it even tho it's going to cost them an arm and a leg lol. I was really hoping to get my hands on the OG corrupted ashbringer :(
That wouldn't make sense since the only reason to have the corrupted ashbringer is to bring it to the Scarlet Monastery. Maybe when old school SM is introduced something will happen .

They forgot to add in the insane amount of $$ spent getting cursed cloth or languished leather commission crafted so realistically one can expect to spend closer to $4 million for the full Tier 3 set

I have a point. Krastinov, Sarkov, Barov, Zverenhov... did you know notice that all ghosts and undeads in Caer Darrow (Welsh name) have Russian names?
-it's not 100% drop for the krastinov bag of horrors toy. It's really close though. Like 95%
-If Eva Sarkoff bugs out on you and doesnt give you the inert spectral essence, it's because you already have one in either your bags or bank, as it was part of the quest line to upgrade your dungeon 1 set to the dungeon 2 set.
--If you do not see the cracked argent dawn commission on the bone pile in rattlegore's room in OG scholomance it's because you already have one, either the argent dawn commission or the upgraded seal of the argent dawn version. If you have had one in the past but deleted it you can get a new one from the Argent Quartermaster Hasana at the bulwark if horde and Argent Quartermaster Lightspark at chillwind point if alliance.
-You cannot try and cheese the speed run sleight of hand portion of the unlock by clearing "dead" side first, all the ziggurats and rivendare must be alive before you begin the speed run.
-You can group up with people for the timed portion of Stratholme, also bear tartare food helps. and dont loot until after you kill the hand of naxxramas.
-Completing the full fiona's caravan questline will take you to revered rep with argent dawn, and unlocks two repeatable quests that give 2000 rep every time you complete them, one to kill rattlegore in new scholomance and a quest to loot the annals of silver hand, the annals are in the room opposite Balnazzar in "live" side of Stratholme in the crusader's citadel. You can loot the annals,leave the instance (do not reset the instance) take it to the quest giver and pick up the quest again loot the annals again and repeat till exalted.
Yeah I just tried clearing everything except rivendare and using the ward over by cathedral doesn't spawn anything
@@SSquirrel1976 yup, it’s kind of an important point and several video guides don’t mention you cannot kill boss and stuff on dead side before you use the ward.

Once he got to that part it really deflated my excitement. With the cost of the cloth it's already a gold sink. Finding people willing to craft the items for you for a reasonable price is going to make it even worse.
Sed the extra action button before timer ran out. Didnt get the emote that you got. Tried to reset dungeon but wards wont drop from the Eye mobs anymore.

Massive cost, but it’s understandable given that people who bought t3 on the bmah now have an opportunity to make that gold investment back. And if you complete a full set you can recover some of the cost by helping others.
It’s a complex and deep system.. but I think that’s okay for optional old transmogs. Overall I think this is a W for blizz

After we gotten the Ward, Can we go over to the dead side and clear everything? (Except for the main boss at the end) Then do the process of running through the dungeon to kill the shade or something?

Works as Patch of 11.0.5.57212 , getting Toy took me 17 try's. To get the quest done you need to have Argent Dawn Exalted (Not Argent Crusade) , you can buy Tokens for 50 Timewalking Tokens during Classic event from the Vendor in Tanaris. Happy Farming and 20th Anniversary Event.

If I have the t3 achievement on a plate class, but I want to craft the rogue set, should I level classic leatherworking on the plate class? or can I just do leatherworking on the rogue, and craft with the rogue, because drop dead gorgeous is account-wide?
Logic and the frames from the video tells me you only need the achievement to buy the patterns so i would bet you can buy them with any char if you have achievement
Just farm corrupted scourgestones to buy the pattern for cursed cloth and languished leather to mail to your other alts since the patterns are account wide. Just make sure the tailor and leatherworker you are sending to them are maxed out classic profession

Tier 3 is/was cool because so few people ever managed to get it. Seeing someone back in vanilla with even a few pieces was quite something. No one on my old server ever managed to get more than a few, and I don´t think anyone killed Kel´thuzad even in tbc

Ended up spending days of farming gold on t3 warrior set, ty for the guide (also making me lose all my gold 🤣)
Notes I'd like to add / personal anecdotes:
- It took me 10 runs of Heroic Scholomance to get Krasinov "The Butcher" to spawn and get my toy. That was me running on 8 characters over the course of 2 days (got it on my 2nd character of day 2). So, good luck with that. Your results may vary, but I thought to add my personal "odds".
- Running the dungeon from Ward of Naxxrammas to Baron Rivendare and to the Eye took my Paladin 4 and a half minutes, so 30 seconds to spare, if anyone was wondering. She is not specced to be particularly fast and I didn't have a speedset, running at 110% normally with incremental buffs to speed. So, that being said- it can get close! Don't expect to just make the cut without having SOME form of speed boost. Hunters and Rogues probably won't have as hard a time as I did (still, I got it first try so don't worry too much about it).
- If you're having trouble finding Archmage Angela Desantos like I did, she can (also) be found in Tyr's Hand (not labeled on the map but is the green area directly under Light's Hope Chapel) at coordinates 72.6, 74.8 right under the front gates. This is assuming you have 0 quests done in that area. If you've started the quests but haven't finished them then she'll be near the fountain at 76.1, 75.4. She appears at Light's Hope Chapel just as seen in the video after the quests for Tyr's Hand are complete.
- Getting Rep with the Argent Dawn: this is for the quest mentioned above from Archmage Desantos. You can increase your reputation with the Argent Dawn by turning in Scourgestones at Duke Nicholas Zverenhoff at the tent to the right of the chapel. 10 Invader's Scourgestones (obtained from Stratholme and Scholomance) grant you 150 reputation. That means to get from 0 Neutral to 0 Honored it would cost 600 Invader's Scourgestones. Yikes. I cannot find another way to gain rep with the Argent Dawn but I had this at Exalted on my old main so I switched to him for the remainder of this portion. I don't know why peoples' advice about Fiona's Caravan didn't work for me- it would only give me Argent CRUSADE rep. This quest requires Argent DAWN rep. Maybe it changed since 11 months ago when this video was posted.
- The Naxxrammas Portal stone is at the specific coordinates 35.7, 23.1
I'm not interested in the armor sets so this is where the journey ends for me. Just wanted the portal to Naxx and ability to go back to old scholomance (and eventually get the mount). Thanks for the vid and I hope my comment helped anybody trying this.
Question is when will blizzard put a dungeon journal for Old Scholomance. oh and have not seen where the scholomance ancient patterns come from since in game ui says Discovery Scholomance so I doubt they come from the Naxx npc's slime covered scrolls.

For anyone like me that grabbed the femur before talking to Eva and found out you could not talk to her to get the essence. Just go outside of the dungeon and to the right of the dungeon entrance Eva is standing there next to Lucien. Talk to her and she will give you another essence.

The weapons come from Ancient patterns purchased with Death's Bargaining Chips and its very random. They can also be found on the AH sometimes.

That is correct, you must be at least honored with Argent Dawn
Not sure how you figure 5 minutes is plenty of time to run to dead strat, kill all those things, and rivendare. MY 5 minutes ran out while I was still outside his chamber w/a couple more groups to kill. That's on a rogue with fast stealth and sprint. Maybe if I go ahead and kill everyone except rivendare then go back to live side, use ward, run back, kill him then do the finishing step it would be fine.
The guide up to that point has been perfect, so I'm happy to see the old instance back. Hopefullly UBRS is next, I miss The Beast
