There is another horrific train wreck that happened in Wayland, NY called the Lackawanna Limited Wreck of 1943. 26 people were scalded (cooked alive) when the steam engine of the passenger train rolled on its side and stopped right next to the 5th passenger car and released its hot steam directly into the car killing 26 passengers and injuring many more. The actual train car involved still exists and is on display at the Midwest railway Preservation society in Cleveland, NY. The "death car" as it is called has been featured on Most terrifying places on the travel channel if you are looking for material for another story to report on.

Fantastic and melancholy story which I'd never heard of until now, Scott. My love of history you've awoken with this story I live in Darlington, England in 2025 it will be the 200th anniversary of the opening of the Stockton to Darlington railway. The first ever rail passenger service in the world. Unfortunately, train accidents still happen, mainly through negligence or worse still vandalism. Thankfully these are few and far between. I thought the place looked ghostly grey/white leafless trees, as if they had been burned just a few days ago. More of these please .. when you cab, of course!
A absolutely amazing vlog Scott! I heard of this accident but had no idea where it occurred! A Fantastic tribute Scott! And also the amazing editing and music at the end sent chills! RIP to all lost so horribly 🙏 Luv&Peace. Cheers to continued success friend ❤✌🏼💫
