    Whole Foods the company is expensive but the stuff is great. And you can get cheap stuff too like the bulk bin section. The quality of the vegetables is very high and the organic vegetables are not any more expensive than standard stores but the selection is hugely greater. They even have free health events there like Rip Esselstyn. I hope Amazon does not destroy the store.

    After transcending a terminal cancer I rebuilt and rejuvinated my body/mind with a heavy animal meat and animal fat nutritional biase. And consder that 90% of what Whole Foods offers is not necessary for optimizing human health.

      Those vicious vegans would prefer you being dead rather than thriving on high meat and fat diet.

    Great talk. That vegan activist guy at the end and people like him are so frustrating. They'd rather Whole Foods didn't exist than it be practical and try to improve things. Hopefully Amazon/Bezos will continue Mackey's good stewardship.

    Very good presentation. Good defense at the end of why Whole Foods sells unhealthy foods as well as healthy.

    I have a better opinion of Whole Foods after hearing this, but I am not typical in that I eat a strict whole food-plant based diet. He understands the importance for health with this diet type.

    John's clarification around how to practice mindful leadership is a welcome addition to the field. Here'e a brief reading that we've done from his book: th-cam.com/video/-d3kDBM-PdI/w-d-xo.html

    I don't think white rice or refined flour are bad, I just think meat is bad. Asia eats tons of white rice and traditionally is extremely lean

    focused,practical,honest,and business like.It is us the consumers who decide the supply and market.But what if people choose to be ignorant about health,lazzy,do not cook at home and not knowing our body machinery evolved biologically and this machinery is mismatch with toxic environment.Seed oils processed cause cellular dysfunction and cellular deaths and blindness in old age called macular degeneration.This is well documented, high sugars are toxic to brain cells,andmiitochondria ,the power house in every cells.All needs education to understand what is going on and where are we taken in which direction.It is our responsibility and system consist of people and even politicians are 0ur people.A say in arabic ,your rulers represent you, ( kama kuntum you walla alykum) pronounced as in Arabic sorry have no key board to write it in Arabic.Great presentation ,great hard working man better than many medical doctors and scientists,well done, proud of you and your book, god blessings.Do not worry about those criticising you.Keep going ,the truth hurts, and people choose to live in denial, delusions and illusions.Thank you again.

    Selling meat when you know that it is bad for the customer is weak. Drug dealers also state that they do not make the customers come to them.

    • @zachh8870
      @zachh8870 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Veggie Oh That's an unfair comparison. Whole Foods is a public company. It's owned by many stakeholders and it's subject to providing the good that customers want. Not serving the customer and meeting their needs isnt in the best interest of anyone.

    Great talk but holy plagiarism, Batman! So many lines taken directly from plant based doctors talks. It reminded me of when Oprah tried to read the narrative for the planet earth dvd. I literally returned that to Costco because she didn’t earn that right. David Attenborough did. Stick to your area of expertise. Also RIP, whole foods.

    what a fucking scam. He is saying red meat, eggs and fish are not nutrient dense at 32:00 lmfao

    • @phoebegraveyard7225
      @phoebegraveyard7225 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, he said that oils were not nutrient dense, and he’s not wrong. You are right to imply that red meat, eggs and fish are nutrient dense. Vitamin B12 is essential and found only in those and other animal products. That is why we have to supplement with B12. A person eating only meat would need to supplement with vitamin C as well as other vitamins found only in plants. ANY all or nothing approach is a religion, not a scientifically proven fact. It’s a pity that the vegangelicals have muddied the waters as much as the carnivores have. The best start to a diet is to avoid restaurants and boxes with ingredient lists.

      I wonder if the fact that Amazon bought it, makes any difference. This is a good talk, but, yes, flies in the face of the hypocrisy of what is for sale in the stores.
