Mark was a really cool guy. So sad to see him suffering today. It's like two different people. Would love to see him inducted in the hof before he passes.
Don't get it .Says he's found God now , yet in the documentary he's way more miserable and angry than he appears here in his playing days before finding God. Things that make you go hmmmm......
Great show Mark was personable and funny Blessings to you Mark. You exceeded your physical prowess and talent . By finding the Lord. Therefore he has embraced you through good and bad times alike., I. admire your courage and strength. Respectfully. Richard Herron Azle Tx.
I just saw Mark today! He's doing well and looks good. He was hilarious! The guy has a huge heart and always humble. He's persevered through bad times. Number 99 rocks!
@Joey Peeps start googling for 'aikido one point hara' if you want long explanations on the internet which don't really answer the question. :). I'd say just go sign up for an intro demonstration / free lesson at your local aikido dojo (training place) if you want the in depth answer. Luck!
They were friends apparently. I saw them together after the Jets beat the Raiders in the ‘82 playoffs. Mark looked quite a bit taller than Lyle, but Lyle a bit thicker.
I do have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rare much like all the other Dick Cavett interviews
He was one dimensional. Great pass rusher but not nearly the run stopper that Joe Klecko was..Yet Gastineau got most of the credit because of his swagger.
Sad to say b/c I love hiphop but rap culture being mainstream has ruined the classy vibe that so many shows had back in the day. Everyone tries to appeal to the youth and it’s always over the top cringey
Should have asked him about his 3 failed drug test that made him quit the NFL. Or the studio 54 bartender that beat him in arm wrestling. Or his 10 th heavy weight boxing match that his opponent refused to take a dive as the previous 9 did and knocked him out, costing him a fixed match against Formen.Ivremember him personally, as I was a bartender in a Jet hangout and he was a jerk in real life.
I guess you “had to be there” to get how Cavett kept this gig as long as he did. He may be the worst big time host of all time. The internet is stacked with cringy interviews where he talks the unprepared guests in the most awkward of ways.
@@irvinetam3454 I don’t mean this in a negative way, but are you kind of cringy yourself? Or do you find that type of personality attractive? There is a podcast interviewer named Lex Friedman that many people complain is “dry” and lacks emotion, claiming it makes a bad interview, yet I find his style and the way he articulates his thoughts to be interesting, almost soothing like a good audiobook narrator. I realize it’s a matter of tastes and opinions, but to me the guy is full of cringe.
I felt that this is one reason why his guests opened up with not too well known inputs. Maybe, that only happens when you are controversial or 'dry' sometimes. Compare it with Johnny Carson or Michael Parkinson where guests are relaxed and not too many new things are brought to light. On another note, David Letterman is more cringey in my personal opinion while all these above gentlemen conducted real talk shows or interviews unlike today's reality TV and night shows.
@@bkasyap7117 That’s a fair point and Letterman (especially in the first couple of decades) was excellent at it. You are right, when the guests are too relaxed they can just use all their prescripted stories and answers. IMO to my taste this host is too cringe for that affect.

Cool.. And Strahan doesn't have the record IMO!
The greatest defensive end ever! Period!

I’ve done Aikido for a number of years and this is indeed a nice demonstration. Not a trick.

This look with the longer hair and beard Marc could pass for Lyle Alzado's brother
