Hi, @HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures 👋🏾 Do you ever use a space heater when you’re camping? Does it cause condensation? How about an electric blanket? Thanks 🙏🏾
Hi Heather! It makes me so happy to see you out and about, doing what you love to do. By now you will have worked your first day back at work. I hope it went well for you. I’m glad you had the opportunity to get out and commune with nature before going back to work. Stay safe! 💙🩵💚
I'm camping too but am in Ocala national forest. I use fire starters to help my fires stay lit. It's a bit chilly but peaceful. BTW if a gator chases ya, run zigzag, they can only follow a straight line. Lol, that's what I've always heard.
I love camping and exploring in Ocala National Forest 😍 I actually did use a fire starter lol, but this is the first time I've ever had it keep going out. The wood didn't look that great this time though, so I'm not sure if it was that or user error (or both, haha!) 😆😆
Hi Heather… Good luck with going back to work… Pretty sure you will do amazing, and will feel like normal in no time!!! So happy you are feeling so much better now, and are able to go out do what you like. 😊😊 I was laid off on September, and being 61, I do not plan to get another job - Severance pay till March, and then i’ll take some of my 401k till I can get SS in September. I love the freedom to go anywhere I want at any moment!!
Thank you so much! I definitely am sad about finally feeling well enough to travel & hike again, and losing most of my free time to do it in, but I really need to catch up on my bills and get financially stable, so I'm grateful I get to do that again after so many months!
Hi Heather 😊 Thank you for another awesome video. Don't worry yourself about returning to work. Like others have mentioned it's just like riding a bike girl 👍☺️.
I didn’t realize there were bobcats at Lake Louisa! Ya know, easing back into work part time is really better for your body. Jumping back into 40 hours a week is stressful and can set you back. After all work is the price we pay to be able to do the things we want to do!
Yes, I'm so grateful I was Ble to start back at reduce hours this month and work my way back up! Otherwise, I definitely think I would have been overwhelmed and more mentally & physically tired as well!
Howdy … thank you for the post ! You make my day, gives me hope! I really need to start just getting away on the weekend and car camp. I need to call the parks near me and ask if I can camp out in my Honda Accord. You seem to find you own joy, if only I could get to that point !
Sorry you didn't get your fire to stay lite. You might want to consider a Tabletop Fire Pit by AmazStove, Low Smoke Camping Stove. They only require small twigs. Would save you a lot on buying firewood.
Great video! Beautiful surroundings. Of course, I would be too worried about alligators to enjoy them. But, I know you know what you are doing. I love Zuppa, but have never made it myself. I wish you good luck returning to work and continued progress with your health! 😊
Hi Heather. I think getting back to your job will be like remembering how to ride a bike after a long time. It all comes back to you. I know also it's going to help you so much knowing you will once again have a steady income again. Money worries is crazy stressful. Not good for your health. You're going to be okay. Have a great week ❤
I totally agree about the money and stress - that's definitely been my biggest challenge ony road to recovery, with trying not to let the financial stress overwhelm me! Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things quickly! 🤞🤞 Thank you!!
Hi Heather, I don't know where my comment went😂. I look forward to hearing how work is going. In 6 decades in So Cal only seen a couple of Bobcats. Thank goodness I have never come across a mountain lion. I hope your channel does well enough you can stay part time.
Heather, alligators?! And you walk so close to the shore line? I don’t know that area at all, but I did hear how to tell if there are alligators in the water in Florida: if you see water, there are alligators!😳😜 please be careful! And yes, I wish you luck in your job.
Thank you! And lol, that is a true statement... retention ponds, even big enough puddles lol! But I do keep a close eye out for them!! I've had gators come out of the water & cross the trails right in front of me on some of the hiking trails here, so I've gotten pretty good at keeping my head on a swivel out there!! 💚
Hi, looks beautiful, do you have issues car camping at state parks? Can’t wait to see your build, I am gathering my items so I can start my new adventures suv camping, so excited, will be part time though. Enjoy!😊
So far, all of the state parks I've booked here in Florida do allow it (although a few county parks I stayed at did mention a tent was needed, and I know some of the city park campgrounds require a tent as well) I believe Alabama and Tennessee state parks do not though (and require at least a tent), from what I've heard, so I'll definitely need to look into that once I'm able to get out there. I didn't have any issues in the few Georgia state parks I've booked so far, either! Excited for you!

Dang girl you pumping out the videos in 25 and I'm glad to see it.

What a great park. I really like the Van set up the way you have it. The quilt on the bed is awesome.
Thank you so much!!

I have found it so helpful to boost my morale and recharge my internal battery by getting out in nature even for a day or 24 hrs! 💚💚
I stayed here 2 weeks ago. Such a beautiful place!

I've seen those, they look pretty neat!! I'll have to consider that for a future addition!
21:00 you'll do great it's gonna be a great year.
Thank you, I appreciate that!!

I like the curtains. Where did you buy them or did you make them?
Thank you! I actually ordered them off Amazon over 3 years ago, and they're still going strong!
