Oscar Issac better get an Emmy nomination for this show. The scenes of him before the other gods being possessed by Khonshu and then of Marc giving his body to Steven to solve the star chart were nothing short of amazing. Also just when I thought Marc was the dangerous personality in comes a third one dropping bodies like The Punisher.
Dude this just got so much cooler... it makes sense that the other gods would all have their own avatar each tho. So I guess Khonshu doesn't wanna abandon humanity like the rest of the gods did, but his flippant, erratic behaviour and short temper doesn't really help anyone truly trust him...
In the mythology he’s basically depicted as a teenage pharaoh. As compared with say Thoth, who’s his counterpart and wise and also marks the passage of time, sort of like an Obi Wan think of Khonshu like Anakin. Brash, impulsive, moody, protective, heart in the right place.
Rest in peace to Gaspard Ulliel, who played Anton. He died back in January in a skiing accident. 🥀🙏🏼 I’m glad they dedicated this episode to him in the credits.
I was excited to see him because I remembered with fondness his performance from 'Hannibal Rising", but I couldn't remember his name. When I googled it and found out he'd died, it came as quite a shock, and was saddening.
@@JedHead77 after doing little bit of research about his character in the comics, he looks quite interesting, like he's the opposite of moon knight or something, i guess? like moon knight is white like the moon and his character is like the dark night sky.. hopefully, we get to see more of him in this series, even tho if it wont be much
It seems that Yatzil, the Avatar of Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of Music and Love, and possibly, Hathor herself, were sympathetic towards both Khonshu and Marc 🥺😣😔, that's why she helped give Marc the clue about Senfu's sarcophagus 🤔. Yatzil even mentioned that Khonshu used to enjoy Hathor's melodies. Possibly romantic feelings between the two deities 🤭🥰😉😁?
I hope we see more of their relationship. I would love it if it turned out the reason Khonshu never mentioned his past with Hathor is because he's trying to distance himself from her like how Marc did with Layla and for the same reason; to protect her.
RIP Gaspard Ulliel. I remember hearing that an actor in the series had died before it aired, but I didn't recognize the name at the time. I recognized him when he arrived on screen. He played Hannibal in the prequel Hannibal Rising. A very underappreciated movie. I had no idea it was him that passed away, so I was taken by surprise by the "in memory of" at the end of the episode. So sad. At some point, Magy, you should do the Hannibal Lector movies; Silence Of The Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon, and Hannibal Rising. It's an unbelievable series.
Wow. The natural alteration of the stars & constellations across millennia, the gods “speaking” through their avatars, and the “Studenwachen” of the coffin texts? They really did their research for this series! And a continued first-rate performance from Oscar Isaac. This really, really is a cut above the usual Marvel fare.
Another EXCELLENT episode! With lots of indication towards a 3rd alter, aka Jake Lockley. Also, although I can understand why some would think Marc or Jake killed Layla’s dad, I don’t think that’ll be the case. If it’s anything like how the comics played out (which the references to it so far seem to be pretty accurate to it) then I have a feeling I know who did kill him but I’m not gonna say for potential spoilers sake. Those who have read MK comics will know who I’m talking about
there is a third personality whose name is Jake Lockley. in the comics, he is a taxi driver who is often on the streets to get information. Most likely they will change this origin, since the same thing happened with Steven (who in the comics is a millionaire but they probably changed his origin in the series because they would compare him to Batman)
i think we are in for a real surprise, because steven says in episode 1 there are 9 gods, and including ammut and khonshu, i only count 7. the same incorrect number from the poster. i feel like maybe we are going to see those other 2 by the end of this, or at least learn more about why they are absent.
A solid episode. The action scenes were excellent albeit a bit choppy. And I thought the rewinding the stars in the sky to ancient times was a fantastic idea. Great reaction Magy 😃 RIP 🙏 Gaspard Ulliel who played Anton the black market dealer died in a skiing accident not long after filming this.
Hey Maaggggg, this episode was so cool. I laughed hard when Steven took over in his suit and was like "ok, no you take it back" lol. The thing with the stars too was WILD! This show keeps getting more and more interesting and I can't wait for more! Loved the reactions cute girl! ❤
11:33 R.I.P Gaspard Ulliel (Anton Mogart. in the comics, he is the Moon Knight villain called Midnight Man), he sadly passed away in January after an accident
There is another personality named Jake Lockley, who in the comics is a cab driver, who could be the 3rd more violent personality in this show (?) Also, it's blackouts, not flashbacks ;) =) Ethan Hawke who plays Arthur Harrow based his performance on a real life cult leader named David Koresh and Hawke got the role because of Oscar Isaac, they're actually neighbours and Isaac offered Hawke to be in the show =)
I like this series so far. It's a real departure from the normal MCU hero recipe. It's actually making me wonder how this will fit into the MCU story arc. Good Reactions Magy
Unfortunately Gaspard Ulliel (Anton Bogart/Midnight Man) died the same day the trailer came out in a skiing accident 💔 At the end of the epidode there is the dedication in his memory.
Another great reaction!! Arthur Harrow is one of the most annoying enemies because he's so calm and cool and he calculates. He lies calmly, he plans his moves. So anyone who's been in a situation when someone lied against you, everyone understands. Also! I dont trust that woman who told him to find Senfu's sarcophagus, she's too nice! loool. Marc is a cool badass, I mean he's Moon Knight, but I love Steven too! He's a really nice guy, and smart! Anyway. That night sky end scene was so so amazing and beautiful. Magy, honestly every week I look forward to another one of your Moon Knight reactions and it's always better than what I expect so THANK YOU! Can't wait for the next one!!! P.s. Arthur Harrow's actor, Ethan Hawke, is such an amazing actor. I HIGHLY recommend you react to his movie "Gattaca" a dark sci-fi movie where a class of society is genetically engineered. You will love it!
Guatemalan pride, although he grew up in the states, he is a Guatemalan citizen, was born in Guatemala, has 2 last names and has the Guatemalan accent and genes.
If they stick to pulling from the comics, then Jake is the 3rd alt. However, we could be facing a curveball since the museum guard kept calling Steven "Scotty". Just something to keep on the back burner until we get confirmation.
Solid episode, although I felt like the first half was too crammed of new stuff to deal with. The first episode was fantastic for the mystery and the atmosphere, the second one did a great job at balancing the duality between Marc and Steven, as well as the introduction of Layla, and seeing firsthand the powers of Arthur, and Konshu really felt like a monster from a horror movie, but in this episode : - We get to know a bit more about Layla (and possibly her mom) - we're teased about a 3rd personality, - we're introduced to 5 Egyptian gods and their avatars (and they don't look very smart), - to a french playboy who's collecting stolen artifacts (in the comics, apparently, this guy is supposed to be Midnight Man, one of Moon night Arch-ennemy, but since his actor Gaspard Ulliel sadly accidentally passed away after the shooting of this episode, it's unlikely he'll ever appear onscreen again, if you watch the credits at the end, they adress the episode as in loving memory of Gaspard Ulliel) - and we're introduced to the most WTF power of the whole MCU : Turning the earth and the whole universe back to where they were 2000 years ago ! - Oh, and Marc/Steven now have to go save Konshu who just got imprisoned in a stone statue by the Gods of Egypt... After the slow burn of the first episode, and the gradual speeding up of the pace of ep2, this one felt lik we switched 3 gears up, and I felt like I was watching a different show ! The whole episode felt it was going at breakneck pace, too much information at once ! Now of course, it's a mini-series of only 6 episodes, so I can imagine that if the first episode was supposed to be slow fro the mystery, they had to cram as much as they could in each following episode. Now, for the good things : The whole cast is absolutely fantastic ! Oscar Isaac for being able to switch character in one single take at the end is super impressive ! May Calamawi, the woman who plays Layla, I've never seen her before, but I'm already super sold on her, she's as sassy as she's badass. And "that guy" who's playing Arthur is Ethan Hawke, a legendary Hollywood actor who probably starred in about a hundred movies, most notably Dead Poets society when he was super young ; then Welcome to Gattaca, the first film starring Jude Law ; the trilogy of Before (Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight), a legendary romantic movie saga that spanned throughout a decade in real life from Richard Linklater ; Training days with Denzel Washington ; Boyhood (also by Richard Linklater), and so many more... He's probably one of the most iconic actors of this generation, and as far as I know, it's his first time playing not only in a super hero franchise (the MCU), but also his first time as a villain ! So I was really eager to see what he'd bring to the table, and Oh my gosh, is he delivering !
Solid episode and awesome reaction. I have say, compared to the Norse gods, I do like how in these small scenes, they actually made these gods feel like powerful gods who shouldn’t be messed with. No offense, but I’ve always gotten more of an alien feel from Thor and his family. Even though magic and science are suppose to be the same thing in the MCU.
Oscar Isaac is a great actor I mean he played Apocalypse in Xmen apocalypse he played Future Spider-Man in the spider-verse and he's poe the rebel pilot from Star Wars And Hi Magy first you look great and amazing and gorgeous as always you're my favorite on TH-cam magy and I just finished working your reaction to Moon Knight episode 3 I also watch it too I enjoy your reaction to this video my favorite part of your reaction this video is the Moon Knight suit scene and I can't wait to see your reaction to Moon Knight episode or we only got three more to go until April 20th, 27th and May 4th
9:52 This I feel is the essence of the debate, Ammit was impriosoned because she punished people before they committed the crime. How ironic it is that we are advocating stopping Harrow before he commits the offense, it's like you are proving Ammit right...
huh 😂that makes sense and I feel kinda busted but also I feel like he is planning to do it and actively searching and trying so …we can say he is already doing something wrong also he is putting this judging into action by killing innocent people
Not really. Conspiracy to commit a crime (i.e. planning and preparing to do so) is itself a crime. For example, if you're planning to murder someone and you get rumbled then you're getting arrested, tried and convicted. That is ethical. By contrast Ammit condemns people for things they aren't even aware of and may never even do. That is unethical.
Yes but in this situation it seems the only way to stop him doing it, whereas the others have the possibility to be stopped without having to die/suffer
I have a feeing Khonsu knows he will be freed after the gods see what Arthur is doing. Or worse, after Ammit is freed, they would have no choice but to free Khonsu and get all the help they can get.
Honestly, and please don't roast me for this, but this was a lackluster episode (in my opinion). Now, don't get me wrong, I'm still digging the show so far. It's just that, outside of a couple of things, I felt like nothing really major happened. It was nice to see French actor Gaspard Ulliel in his final role here as Anton Mogart (I guess he's the character Midnight Man, because he's a "collector" of fine arts like the comics). Sucks that, in my opinion, he was wasted in this episode (I did read that he's slated to appear in the remainder of the show. So, he's technically not dead). Also, it looks like we're getting the Jake Lockely personality inside of the MCU. In the comics, Jake Lockely is a New York City cab driver who has his eyes and ears to the streets for local crimes. Jake Lockely, the MCU version, is looking like he's more of a cold-blooded killer than Marc. Marc will only get his hands dirty if push comes to shove. Jake, on the other hand, is apparently much more remorseless compared to Marc. Also also, I totally understand why Marc is emotionally distancing himself from Layla for her protection, but come on now. Be rational! However, the dynamic between Layla and Steven is something I immensely adore. I love seeing them interact. Ladies, get you a Steven Grant! I truly hope next week's episode is better. Apparently, some crazy thing happens next week. Fingers crossed I enjoy it next week.
Hey, Magy! Well, Jake Lockley has finally shown up! We still haven't met him but the rumor is that he set up the date with the docent at the steak house in Episode 1. The tribunal in the interior of Giza with the avatars was very cool but Horus didn't do his due diligence. He's a hawk-headed god for Pete's sake! How hard is it to do a fly-by? Mark didn't kill Layla's father but he was partnered with the man who did: his nemesis, Raoul Bushman! Raoul also left Mark a corpse himself until Khonshu revived him. Anton Mogart is known as the art thief Midnight Man in the comics. He was played by Gaspard Ulliel who passed away after production wrapped in a skiing accident. Absolute best moment was the scrolling starscapes as Khonshu took the universe for a spin! Trippy stuff. Layla looks at Steven and thinks that he and Mark together make the perfect man. However, she's yet to meet Jake!
🤔Hmmm... Maybe you should watch Dead Poets Society to see what Arthur Harrow was like as a boy. It's a great movie with Robin Williams. Not sure if you've seen it yet.
The only part or story line that I didn’t like was one, Ethan hawkes character gets way to free a pass to do whatever he wants magic wise and obviously does all his crap in plain site, yet the gods pick on Kofu and give him shit and then the part where h walks up and destroy the coffin without reprise, like what??? Yet they try and kill Moonknight for talking about saving people…. That’s goofy, the plot/story needs one more re write to get it tight, but overall it’s a great show and fun too watch.
Let me remind you that there are many different films that you can watch) Chernobyl, Train to Busan 2, Virus (2013, Korean film), T-34 (this is a Russian film. I don’t know if it can be watched due to sanctions, etc. against us, but you won't see them soon, so it's okay)). Have a nice day even though it's already over xD

They're not personalities. They're alters. So Arthur Harrow using the wrong terms and telling Marc he's a makeshift avatar was incredibly harmful and disrespectful, which is is good because it shows us how awful he is. Khonshu is a jerk but he didn't turn is back on humanity. I like Khonshu. When he said "I remember every night" I got emotional. Loved your reaction.
@@MagicMagy I didn't know anything about dissociative identity disorder before, I did some research and found out a lot of stuff about it. I used to say personalities instead of alters too. I think there's a third alter that Steven and Marc know nothing about, and it's that alter, maybe Jake like in the comics, that killed those men that had knifes.
@@MagicMagy You didn't need to be corrected. "Alter" is just short for "Alternate Personality." It's not the "correct" way to say it. It's just what some people prefer. Saying "personality" is just fine.

I'm spending way too much time trying to read your shirt while I'm watching this. lol
hahahahha good luck with that😉and you can always rewatch the video haha
@@MagicMagy Yeah I'll be rewatching it with a magnifying glass bc I'm determined to figure this shirt out. lol
what about 'All of us are dead'
still waiting⏳ ♥
I didn't know what to expect from this show but it's blown me away so far! Is this the best Marvel show so far? Hard to say. What do you think?
Hi Magy, I love your videos
Is it me, or was the cab driver the same actor who helped kidnap Tony Stark?
I ADORE Steven but he was sorta getting on my nerves in the first part when he kept on distracting Marc 😂
🤔Hmmm... Maybe you should watch Dead Poets Society to see what Arthur Harrow was like as a boy. It's a great movie with Robin Williams. Not sure if you've seen it yet.
6:02 no, but you can slap me 😑
you can try to reaction to some Chinese movies,Japanese cartoons like
naruto,they are very interesting!
I have a feeling it was Jake that killed her father
Steven is really pissing me off by screwing with Marc while Marc is working.
I miss you Magy
🙌⛩️🕉️☯️⚛️⛩️🙌.
time for Constantine
Please watch turning red you’ll love it, it’s about a girl who turns into a red panda.
I love you 😘💕❤️
What was really messed up about this episode I could hear the crunch of the glass with each step he took.
right 😂that is his signature, I am really hearing it every time he takes a step
Reaction the batman please🇵🇪📽✌
The only part or story line that I didn’t like was one, Ethan hawkes character gets way to free a pass to do whatever he wants magic wise and obviously does all his crap in plain site, yet the gods pick on Kofu and give him shit and then the part where h walks up and destroy the coffin without reprise, like what??? Yet they try and kill Moonknight for talking about saving people…. That’s goofy, the plot/story needs one more re write to get it tight, but overall it’s a great show and fun too watch.
FREE KHONSHU!!!
the batman reaction
Will you watch *Rise of the Planet of the Apes* pls?
Let me remind you that there are many different films that you can watch) Chernobyl, Train to Busan 2, Virus (2013, Korean film), T-34 (this is a Russian film. I don’t know if it can be watched due to sanctions, etc. against us, but you won't see them soon, so it's okay)). Have a nice day even though it's already over xD
Let me remind you she can’t watch everything at once. I am not sure what you were trying to say with the comment written in that way. Writing it as a polite suggestion will sound so much better.
@@spicestrike1391 I know she has a list of different movies, series, anime to watch. I have listed what you can also see. Add to the list. Your comment is redundant).
@@УважаемоеРастение yes and I am telling you ,it will sound better wrote in a different way since this is giving different vibes
Let me remind you you can write as I want to suggest you a few things you might enjoy …
@@daianvikinski3803 Может хватить мне бессмысленно отвечать? Мне не удобно говорить на англ языке.
@@УважаемоеРастение It is a suggestion bro , switching to other language doesn’t change that you can learn to write better and I was suggesting you how to change it. But nevermind you can continue how you want …
Loved your reaction.
thank you for correcting me, since English is not my first lenguage I just assumed that they have the same meaning kinda 😅
@@MagicMagy Don't worry Magy, the word "personalities" is fine, and a completely acceptable word to use.
No correction required.
@@firstenforemost alters is short for alter ego.
As unfair as the trial seemed, I don't think Khonshu is a good guy.
Raction please The batman
That is not a moon signal that is an eclipse and the personality changes are blackouts not flashbacks
well English is not first language so sometimes I just say the stuff closer to what I mean so you can get the idea of what I am talking about😂
I was disappointed with this episode.
