RIP Scott, you absolute legend. Thanks for overcoming those Aidios-damned barriers and allowing me and countless others to finally play the Crossbell duology. Thanks to you and the rest of Geofront, I finally got to play Crossbell (on my switch, nonetheless). Even though I'm only in Chapter 2 of Zero, Crossbell's pretty good so far.
Edit: 4 months after posting this comment, I'm now in Chapter 2 of Azure
Edit: I finished Azure in December 2023, and I am now in Chapter 4 of CS3. So far, Azure is my second favorite Trails game, right behind Sky the 3rd

It took me ages to realise this is the main menu theme in an action-format. Once I realised - I had a whole new appreciation for it.

Or the main menu is it's remix. They are essentially just two different versions of the same song. Can't call either a remix when they are made purposefully different (and likely the Awakening theme was created first).

Valimar is way better then whatever in trails through daybreak I am sorry, I played the demo of it and to me I feel like they are trying waaaaay waaay too hard Falcom just should just end the trails series I still love it and I still love van, but it not the same feeling as this Divine Knights are way more epic love the fact they chose an awakener, of course don't tell me anything about "nightmare" since the game is not out yet here but from what I played from the demo they don't give the same feeling, and I don't think the summoning is cheesy idk what are u talking about it epic as heck, heck I found nightmare to be cheesy cuz they are trying to be edgy as heck a I hate when games trying to do that especially Falcom cuz Falcom are not good with that sort of stuff, as a new fan who got into the series in 2022 there is a lot of stuff I have to say about Falcom and there trails series I love these games so much but sometimes there are characters that just try waaay waaay too hard to be cool but they fall on there face cuz they are just bad for example ash from cold steel 3 and 4 is one of the worst character god I hate that asshole, he is one of those character oh look at me I am badass when in reality he is just an idiot heck all NEW class vii are the worst to me it puzzle why would they have to create a new team for class vii, the old class vii is way better and they already developed fine, but new class vii is so forced and so shoehorned into the story, so yes with trails through daybreak van is great so far and I am glad he doesn't have ash personality but he still try waaay too hard sometimes and it kinda annoying 😒 Falcom are not great with characters like atlus, the only characters I found to be amazing in trails are Rean and Crow and Lloyd and Randy and the majority of class vii are great and Sara too, but other then those characters the others are just meh

The music really helps the Valimar fights feel much more epic. Makes you not notice the one-on-one combat so much which can get really boring quite fast.
I felt like there were more 2v1 fights than 1v1.
Absolutely amazing music. The piano and strings are outstanding, and the trance percussion is immaculate.
Just found the demo for III randomly on steam because I was bored... After 2 hours in the prologue I bought I, II and III and inhaled I in 7 days with ~100h playtime. But really... If I had to wait 2 years after I with that cliffhanger... I would have died. These games are f'n great. Just like the music.
Be sure to play Trails in the Sky and Zero/Ao. Also, if you think the first Cold Steel's ending was dark, just wait till you finish ToCS III.
@@Pondicek jeah. I did read a comment in the steam forums that you should stop after chapter 4 and not go forward into the final chapter until IV is released in the west... I'm seeing me already buying a Ps4 just to play IV because I won't be able to wait till 2021 for the pc version... Curse you Nihon Falcom :D

@@babatundeismail6732 exactly my thought. I played quite a lot of JRPG's in the past - my favorite until now were the middest games from the FinalFantasy Series... But TOCS wiped the floor with them... my big worrie however is the fact, that nihom games take WAY TO LONG to be published in my country... I mean c'mon IV was released in September 2018 in JPN and it took 2 years for a western release?. Thats so sad :(

This is one of the tracks you remember a game for. Why? Because how it's used with the choreography in every scene it's in is perfect. It reminds me of Valimar's first incredible awakening at the end of Cold Steel I, and I don't think that's a coincidence... :D

They should use an arranged version of this song in Sen no Kiseki III when Rean calls Valimar just like they did with Tie a Link of Arcus. Its just too good and epic to not be used in the 3rd game

Valimar from CS and Legion from Mass Effect are my 2 favorite robots. And they both acknowledge you a lot.
Trails and Mass Effect. Both some of the best RPGs in term in pure world-building.
And their voices are awfully familiar coincidence I think not.

Nah, but that being said he's not a machine either. The game never lies to you about him though, fromthe very start Valimar tells you he's "A Fragment of the Great Power", meaning he's a spiritual "being" that inhabits a robot.

I hate how in the 3rd game Valimar summonigns are so boring and stale, in 2, it was a fucking amazing spectacle to see it glide through the air to this music.
Wish they kept playing it through all the other fights tho I didn't like the other track that they used instead
