Honestly silly argument. Arsenal shut down the best team in the world on their home ground with 10 men for an entire half until City escaped with a point. If Arsenal actually decided to park the bus and win the league with 1-0 games, scoring early and sitting, playing the most boring, ugly football you could imagine, who would stop them?

Big clubs do not adapt. Other teams adapt to them. Wenger had a big club mentality but Arteta does not. Having said that, I don’t see anything wrong with how Arsenal played in the second half against City. It made sense because they were down to 10 men and without their most creative player, Odegaard. They were 2-1 up so they had to protect their lead. People should really be talking about the lack of creativity and in the City side in the 2nd half, lots of pointless obvious passes and no stretching of the play at all.
no i disagree, wenger final years was about getting top 4, he sold van persie because he didnt wanna strengthen the squad and we lost cesc too. yes arteta is stubborn but still young and has much better tactics than wenger, he only played the same way in his final 7 years and we lost by the odd goal by drogba and big strikers
By that logic, Ange Postecoglu also has big club mentality. That's a myth if you ask me. When you play a team much better than you, you adapt. Simple. The problem is that people somehow think that Arsenal are as good as Man City when in reality they're overachieving and that's largely due to Arteta. Man for Man, they're not even close.

It really hurt a lot of people that mighty City couldn't beat 10 man Arsenal. Their dreams of City battering Arsenal got smashed. If Arsenal played 10 man Ipswich and drew, they'd criticise Arsenal and praise Ipswich. Arsenal started the same way last season and later on smashed goals for fun. Relax, it's still September.
