Good luck! any questions just let me know. Take lots of photos as you strip it, and you can’t go too far wrong. Not sure if you are in the US, but it’s easier to get parts in Europe for this model. I use CMSNL. Com based in the Netherlands.
Thank you very much for doing this great video about XRV650, 1+ 2, please make more. Your skills, voice and love english inspire me to do the same.... I have a leak, also.
This may be a simple fix. It looks like its just the drain screw on the float bowl leaking. Shut the fuel off to the carbs and remove the drain screw, be ready as the fuel remaining in the carb will empty. The screw will/should have a rubber O-ring on it, replace that O-ring and refit the screw.
Good vid, thank you. I’ve not long bought one myself with the intention of restoring it. I’ve done a few (bad) vids on it but now I’ve got it running I’m tempted to just use it until I’ve got all the parts & then do it quickly in one go. I’m sure your video will be a lot of help though, thank you 👍
About to attempt the same process on my 1988 Africa Twin. I’ve been very nervous about the process but your video has helped immensely thanks.

@@MCSR52 I’m actually in Australia lapping up the heat and humidity 😢. I’ve used CMSNL too but they are pricey.
