Yep. It’s gone crazy in the last 3 months. Luckily I’ve convinced a biking buddy who’s an ace mechanic to help me out, he’ll be featuring on some of the videos in the future.

I’m near Don Pedro, between Modesto and Sonora in the Sierra foothills. I’m using my Rabaconda a lot at the moment and once you have the technique down it gets a lot easier.

Great to hear from you Ben! been a long time. I still have the day job but the restoration business is taking over more and more now. Just trying to keep it fun, especially with the TH-cam channel.

I thought you must have retired from the day job with so many bike projects. I haven’t ridden a bike for years. I co-owned a Honda motorcycle franchise for 10 years but running a bike business took some of the joy out of it. I switched to four wheels & built an AC Cobra instead.

If you have an airbrush definitely use that over a spray can as you have more control. The other issue with spray cans is it’s very difficult to limit paint flow unlike an airbrush, which is needed when you paint up to the edge of the blend area.

Thanks, I often question if we really need to go to this level to save original parts but it’s cool to see and the end results are certainly more satisfying than just stripping everything and replacing it.

Yep, at 600lbs wet they were not exactly nimble, but that gear driven V4 is a delight!
