Honda should be very happy with you. You have accidentally created one of the best adverts for the Transalp. Fantastic viewing as always. 👍
Freddie your tales are fantastic, and not just for the wonderful places you are so fortunate to ride. You really bring out those special feelings that riding brings with your style and the substance of your videos. Thanks so very much.
Thank you so much, I’m so happy you enjoyed it!
Here, here. Always superb 👌
Big thankyou for warming up our sunday morning and inspiring us for our next motorbike ride. Absolutely stunning landscapes in Yorkshire that’s on my bucket list….🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You’ll love it Sherkhan, it’s an incredible place and perfect for a biking adventure🖤🤘🏼🏍️
Superb! So refreshing to see a genuine road trip without the all the silly commentary on the bike while wizzing about, just gentle music and a little good conversation with your viewers is all that I and I'm sure most of your followers need.
Great and thank so much.
The whole series was so calming as well as informative from start to end ❤ quietly anticipating for more to come 😊
Good morning from here in the US Freddie. Your style tends to be very immersive.
I could smell the damp, cool morning air as you wondered through Richmond.
I could feel the warmth of the wood fire at the Tea room, as well as the smell of the soup as you stirred it.
Your music and editing are next level.
Glad I’ve come across your channel. God bless you and your adventures.
It would have been hard for me to leave that cafe for a long dark slog back to London.
Excellent Mr D. You remind us older guys that when we started out biking, everything was simple and enjoyable. I certainly have spent too much on bikes and kit and overcomplicated things. Well done Young Sir
Yes seeing the rides and experiences through younger eyes is refreshing especially after riding for 54 years.👍👍
Is no one going to say anything about the obvious “Gravel” setting on the bike?! 😂😂 Joking! 😂. Anyway, super nice video and series altogether. I live in Netherlands and every time i watch your videos i decide to move to UK😂. You were and still is an inspiration for me to go out riding and explore, even though in the Netherlands there’s not much to explore except straight roads. Love your videos! ❤
Those Yorkshire town high streets aren’t so well maintained as they used to be 😂
I.m dutch as wel and ride lots of small twisty roads here. Seek and you shall find .
Hope Freddie didn't go all the way back to London in Gravel mode :)
Great video made better by two gorgeous Spaniels. Doesn't get better.
I also really enjoyed those two Spaniels popping by to greet Freddie.
Ohh Freddie, a brilliant winter road journey! Thank you so much for showcasing the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire region. Cheers and safe travels ⭐️
Your videos are so well done. The framing of the shots, the history, just the right amount of each element to keep the interest of the viewer. Fantastic.
There are only two people I watch that travel on motorcycles. Freddie and Itchy boots. Both are very very good at what they do but miles apart in how they do it both are great to watch but in a different way .. As always a great up load Mr Dobbs !!
Theres an innate abundance of talent and craftsmanship in the quality of your presentations and soundtracks you loon... everyone is a gem... thoroughly enjoyable in every frame...good on both of ye ...😊
Too right Freddie. Yorkie's are such gracious, warm people❤. Loved my time there. Had I stayed a little longer I would have probably ended up a local 🙂
You don't get to be a 'local' until your family has been there for at least 3 generations! 😃.
I and my Yorkshire born wife lived in a small village in Yorkshire for 20 years… We were still “Offcumdoms,” still outsiders! 😁
Too right, West Countryman from Bristol but arrived in North Yorkshire mid 90’s and never really left, Harrogate now home for last 23 years. Great biking countryside in all directions. 👍😎
@@keitht3055 when I arrived in Yorkshire in 94 the milkman told me when you arrive ‘we winter them, we summer them , we winter them again, and if they’re still here we talk to them.. maybe some truth in that but as a west countryman settled here since mid 90’s it’s home.
Harrogate was my favourite town! Stunning place. 96 was when I was there. Well done, wise choice🙂👍@@nigelphillpotts1086
for us it was always Germany, France and Italy. Now we really have to go to England and discover everything there. Beautiful documentary. Thanks from the Netherlands
Stunning Yorkshire.....
What a great place to base yourself for a tour of the area.....looks like you have had a great time, and all in the middle of a British winter....
It was beautiful!
I like your videos,so professional, looks like complete filming crew escorts you, greeting from Jordan.
Thank you so much, Abdul! Sending all my best over in Jordan🇯🇴
Another masterpiece Freddie. Thank you so much
Hopping back and forth between your video and google maps and placing pins in my ‘Must Visit’ list 😀 excellent !
Great Freddy, you already made my day. Love your way of story telling, soundtracks and cinematography. Will for sure go to the Yorkshire Dales at one point, but for now I will swing my leg over my Harley to take her for a spin around the mountainous region of the river Weser, here in Lower Saxony/Germany. You have reminded me again, there is no such thing as bad whether, only wrong clothing. Keep it up Freddy and let the good stuff come.
Ahhhh Alfred, I’ll be daydreaming about a Harley ride in Germany with my morning coffee. Happy riding🤘🏼🏍️🇩🇪
Yorkshire Dales has to be some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, and for taking me on the ride with you!
Dave….. from Texas
So you’ve inspired me to uncover my RE Classic 350 (weeks of cold rainy weather)…and head out for a couple of hours even though it’s 37 degrees and windy here on the eastern tip of Long Island, NY. Needless to say… you brighten our dreary winter days Freddie!
Thanks again for such great stuff from Yorkshire Dales!
Excellent little series Freddie, glad you enjoyed Yorkshire and hopefully it’s whetted your appetite to come back soon.
Warm wishes from Gods own county.
Thanks Freddie for the not only the pleasant views of Yorkshire, but that very interesting historical information in relation to Richmond. Absolutely first class!
As a Yorkshireman born and bred, ive been to all of these places on my bikes and consider this my back yard. Thank you for painting it in such a good light despite the dread full weather. I would like you to highly consider doing the same trip in the summer season as you'd meet so many more Yorkshire bikers everywhere especially at devils bridge and Hawes. Its quite the experience in summer.
Love the photo bombers at the end. Very inspirational set of videos 👌
Beautiful mini series. Beautiful bike and amazing landscape. Great filming as usual.
Great cinematography!
안녕하세요 정말 멋진영상이에요!🇰🇷
I am a motorcycle rider in Korea
First of all, thank you for letting me watch fantastic videos
It may be a normal day for you, but it's something even more special for me
Especially, it feels really different from where I live😊
Always be safe riding and stay healthy. 🙏
Great little series of films, Freddie. And a bit weird seeing my back yard. You drove within fifty yards of my back door! I drive past Devils Bridge every day to work and back, and yes you're right, in the season it's bloody heaving! I glad you have enjoyed our little county 👍
Great series, Freddie. Thank you for taking us along worth you. I can think of no other motorcycle/touring vlogger who captures the essence of traveling and riding and being in those beautiful places as well as you do. Safe travels and I look forward to your next videos.
That Transalp certainly seems a very capable and practical bike 👍
Brilliant. Totally agree. Yorkshire is awesome. 🏴
Beautiful trip.i now put Yorkshire on my list, good country people. Thanks for taking us along and I love the transalp too.
Morning Freddie definitely not 250 feet looks about 40 to 50 maximum to me great video
Yeah it is 45 feet, so good guess.
I agree- I did think this while watching the video back😳
A great series Freddie. Thank you for sharing your trip with us.
Enjoyed and envious of this Yorkshire ride. Hope you’ll be able to do more northern adventures.
Cheers from the USA
Another superb video Fred, it was a pleasure to meet you in Richmond. A genuinely nice chap. (Dave & Loo)
Fabulous mini series Freddie, loved all of it. I ride up to evils Bridge from Preston several times a month when the weather is better, it`s a fab ride ! 😃😃
Thanks Freddie for taking us with you on English roads!
Don't forget to set your driving mode back to normal because it's still on gravel mode 😊
Cheers from Algiers.
Really enjoyed watching these 4 utube videos.
The transalp is now top of my list for a second bike to tour on .
👍
Freddie your journeys are fantastic! It makes want to jump on a bike and ride for miles stop for a coffee and more.
Fabulous series Freddie. I think Honda should let you have the transalp as a long term loan such a good advert for the bike and its capabilities.
Freddie! Wonderful trip. After watching your last video I decided to finally pull the trigger and bought this exact same bike and traded in my beloved CB500X
Realy nice work Freddie! My parents were Yorkshire, I was born in Darlington and all my relatives are Yorkshire! We used to sit around the fire at my aunties house, singing 'Ilkley moor bar tA't'
I now live in N.spain and still drink Yorkshire tea!!! and speak Spanish with a Yorkshire twang!!!
It's the Freddie Dobbs video day... I really enjoyed it. Pleased you included the Yorkshire tea.
holy cow. id live out there in a heartbeat especially with that bike
Really enjoyed these videos Freddie, thank you very much for making them.
Totally amazing Freddie & Monika .
A Feast of Art Culture.
Really enjoyed watching your solo trip Freddie.
Again an absolutely gorgeous video, thank you Freddie!
Loved watching your Yorkshire trip , thank you for the videos on Yorkshire
Glad you enjoyed our neck of the woods....as you found out we have some beautiful scenery. we have a Bonneville T120, and she's beautiful, never fails us. It's a shame we didn't bump into you. We love your road trips. Keep it up 👍
What you failed to mention, Freddie... in your comments about being able to wear the same clothing that you wear during warmer climes... is the HUGE impact that having a windscreen on your motorcycle plays in riding comfort. You are able to ride warmer... and for longer times on the saddle... thanks to the addition of a windscreen. An accessory that you traditionally did not employ in the past. Here's hoping that you will remember this lesson for future rides. Monika will thank you for it as well.
Room with a view! 😆 This series has been superb. I don't ride a bike as I'd be a nutter. I have that streak in me and a bike would mean death to me. So following your video's allows me to experience a tiny bit of it. Yorkshire is amazing and I need to get us up there for more of it too. We love Whitby but so many driving roads we could be on. Brilliant series; fantastic filming. Thanks 👍🏻Best wishes to Monika and I wait for the next trip.
It seems you didn't notice that you were on: gravel mod, driving on the road and for some reason it didn't bother you.
Anyway, it's fun to see the wet and green landscapes of England and the way you present the Transalp really beautifully. Honda should give you a percentage.
Thanks for taking me along Freddie. Wish I could get my Honda GW DCT out for a ride today. Still a few more months of Winter here in Canada. Bonus today over at "The Wurks" TH-cam channel on your Bonneville's repairs!
Excellent series. Thanks.
Freddie thank you so much for your brilliant tour of Yorkshire and ending up in Kirby Lonsdale one of my favourite villages to visit, I have enjoyed every second and didn’t want it to end . They say all good things come to an end ! Cannot wait to see your next trip on that very nice Transalp. 👍
Well I've just got myself a super tenere just yesterday I've done my usual sunday morning ritual in bed cup a tea slice a toast watched u freddie now its time to get out and see the world thanx freddie for being so delightful and inspiring ❤
Well done Richard 👏 Great bike, ride free.
@mikerider58 thank u Mike be safe 🙏
Fantastic video. Beautiful scenery, meticulous camera work and editing. I must admit, I admire UK riders' stamina and determination to ride in any weather. You don't see that much here in the states. I had the privilege of riding a hired bike through the Dales last year. It was an experience I shall never forget. Saw in your series so many places I'd visited...Grassington, Hawes and more. Stunning scenery, but my short visit was just the tip of the iceberg. So much more to see! I'd return tomorrow if I could.
I love the end scene with the dogs
Beautiful Country. Inspired to head to the UK to Ride. Keep On.... From Arizona, USA.
Makes my Sunday morning ❤also got me wanting a trans alp 😊safe journey home Freddie 🙏
Good little series. The north has so much to offer, thats why i moved from Hampshire to Cumbria in Dec 2022. The countryside, food and people are the best. Born a west London boy i will die as a very happy northern old bloke.
You must try the North Yorkshire Moors too, the Esk valley in itself is a nice ride which would only take a few hours with the stops you do. Worth a few days of exploring, all the roads in & around the moors.
Congratulations for all you bring for us
Thank you for sharing your experiences and wish you a safe trip home.
Another nice video Freddie. Devil's Bridge is actually only 45ft high, in Summer many people jump off it, some some have ended up in wheelchairs for the rest of their lives.....not recommended. Sometimes there are over 150 bikes there on a bank holiday.
That was relaxing just to watch 👍
@Freddie Dobbs
You find the most interesting places .Thanks for a nice series of blogs on your trip. It just goes to show biking is not just for summer 👍👍👍👍You have the most relaxing style . Thanks again. BTW your in my neck of the woods .
A great little get away Freddie which has shown both the Yorkshire Dales and the Honda Transalp at their best 👍
What a great film maker you are
Ah Freddie ,you always bring that calming sense with your videos ,you truly are inspirational man. Stay safe.
I love Sunday Mornings! I know I can get up pour a giant cup of coffee and live vicariously through you for a bit.
Great watch Freddie love the dales. Maybe the Lake District next 🤔👍👍
freddie, i cant thank you enough for showing off my beautiful home county. Again a truly wonderful video. best on youtube
Makes a pleasant change to watch your style of presentation.Very relaxing, and as a proud Yorkshire man and keen adventure rider it's a great to see you enjoying your time riding in this great county..
This is making me think I should visit Britain in winter! Usually, I go autumn or spring.
It must be '93 since I went to Devil's Bridge. Longer since I went to Richmond. 14:09 Just like my late mother's soup. All those miles on tyres with inner tubes would worry me now. Mind you, I used to go round Europe on an XT500 and XRV750. Nick
Brilliant!
Awesome, comforting and inspiring video series Freddy. Simply marvelous!
Now....and we won't take no for an answer....a trip to even further "oop north" to The Lake District is a must; we're even friendlier and scenery just as jaw dropping! Just keep away from the tourist trap of Windermere!
See you soon.......you have been warned! 🤣
Good to see you in my neck of the woods Freddie, as you say, Devils Bridge does get very busy in the summer months. The views in the Lancashire/Yorkshire areas are stunning all year round as you can appreciate. The Trans Alp looks to have been a fantastic work horse and it will be great to see the Bonneville back out and about, hopefully soon. Many thanks Freddie and looking forward to the next one.
Hiya Freddie 👍 the roads around Richmond are great biking roads, but you should come back in the summer months when the whole area takes on a different look, great video's keep them coming
My daughter (9) years sends her greetings: a) poor dog b) poor cameraman, always left behind. Otherwise a big thank you from me for this exceptional road trip. It was a joy to watch and it gave me this melancholic feeling of "Fernweh". What a beautiful country.
Freddie, one of the words I use to describe your videos is addictive. Excellent, keep them coming.
Freddie great to meet you outside my shop in Ipswich last week, it made my day, after thoroughly enjoying your adventures since I found your channel, loved this series on the Dales it brought back many memories as I spent at least 10 years on the trot taking walking holidays there beautiful scenery, it would be amazing to take the Slim there for a trip down memory lane, keep up the great work.....
Absolutely fantastic series Freddie, really enjoyed the style and character you put into your work, classic and classy.
Nice one Freddie, glad you like my part of the country. Great vlog mate.
Yorkshire is my favourite county! It really is a wonderful place and the countryside is amazing.
An absolute Epic storytelling motorbike journey! Lovely views and great mix of coffee shops, lodging, history, nature and biking presented in a genuine way. Kudos to great series! 🎉👍
Great road trip, thanks again for sharing it with us. I was on the market for a new bike and the Transalp was on my radar. Following your videos and review, I just ordered a new Transalp, Ross white ass well 👌
You're one of the best when it comes to share a journey with your community.
We're spoilt a little in Yorkshire. You'll have to return and explore East Yorkshire 😉
Thanks Freddie really enjoyed that and looking forward to getting out on my bike tomorrow 👍
I love, love, love your travel videos, genuinely one of the best channels for me on TH-cam. Like a few others on TH-cam I think you should be on mainstream TV with your own travel show
New subscriber to your channel Freddie and I absolutely loved this series. I love the way you eloquently described the castle and your positivity. Thank you and good luck with the rest of your travels 👍🏻
There’s a devil’s bridge in mid-wales with much the same origin story. Also a popular place for bikers to go.
This has become one of my favourite TH-cam channels among all the ones I follow (and I follow A LOT of channels). The honest and insightful reviews; the amazing stories and beautiful locations; the creative and fresh structure of the videos; the fantastic shots that are also have a very natural and amateurish (in a good way) charm to them; the way that your relationship with Monica is shown, where she's sharing that passion with you, while also supporting you, from behind the camera; the Britishness of the whole thing (I lived in England for a couple of years, so I have a very strong connection to it); the way that you care about style, while having a taste very similar to mine; how you manage to talk about many topics and keep everything interesting... I can keep going, but the thing is that there's just so much to love here. This is truly a gem of a channel.
A joy as always
Richmond is a lovely place surrounded by great biking roads…and yes it’s so busy in Summer, superb riding in all directions. Kirby Lonsdale across the bridge is quite lovely….lots of local shops.
PS. Love the dogs at the end.
