I use a green colour correcting primer as a foundation mixer. I have an olive undertone and finding a foundation that matches perfectly can be a challenge. Mixing in a little bit of green solves that problem!
Perfect timing as I got gifted 2 hydrating primers even I don’t use them. I they will end up as bodylotion and try how I feel about them as a foot cream. Usually I’m good with repurposing skincare but didn’t know what to do with the primers. Thank you for the ideas.
I am using a Catrice Hydrating primer to mix with things and found it helpful to mix with my green EXA color corrector to thin and spread it out more easily.

Your tips are so handy! I didn't expect to get much out of this because I don't own face primers, but I can apply your tips for a glowy primer to a liquid highlighter. I refused to jump on the cream blush train when they started getting popular because I know you can use lipstick as blush. Watching this, it occurred to me that I could mix my liquid highlighter from Auric with my lipsticks for a glowy cream blush. I loved your tip to mix lipstick and concealor to tone down a liquid lipstick so you can use it as blush. It would probably work with a liquid highlighter, too. I thought your lipliner tip was cool, too. Never would I have ever tried that. I've been playing around with liquid lipstick lately. I've found I prefer lip balm to lip gloss. I decided to try balm over liquid lipstick. I was worried it would break down the formula, but it doesn't. At least Juvia's Place balms doesn't. I like to blot it afterward, but it is so much more comfortable. P.S: I'm about halfway through my E.L.F camo concealor. Maybe I'll get close to panning it before it expires. Maybe I'll get through my liquid highlighter before it gets funky too! Lol
Laura Geller would say that you can use your primer over top of your nightly skincare to lock in the moisture and wear it to bed... makes your moisturizer work harder for you while you sleep.
that's interesting... but still a primer is makeup I am not sure if I would like put makeup products on my skin during the night. have you tried it out?
@Sina Fröhlich no, I haven't tried wearing primer overnight. As long as the primer wasn't tinted, it should not be a problem. It's worth trying if you just want to use up a primer.
I love these ideas! I have a few primers rolling around in my collection. Not sure what it is about my face but I have never found one that does anything positive. I have finally given up on priming my face, lol.
Sooo cool! Very handy. I wonder if I can mix a drop of hyluronic acid serum with a full/medium coverage foundation to make it more of a serum foundation/tint. For example, combining the Loreal true match foundation with a drop of hyluronic acid to make it like the true match serum
Did you say you were decluttering the Elf matte primer? Was distracted whilst watching but l prefer it to the regular poreless version for the precise reason you used it. It does a good job at taking down overly glowy foundations. I'm trying to use up the regular version as l don't think it offers too much benefit for me ♥️
I did declutter it in December but still have it in my declutter bin so I brought it back out for this video! I think I like the poreless one better than the matte for actual priming, but maybe I need to give the matte one another try.
Also I want to make sure I'm understanding you. I've never thought of doing this, but I have extra primers I'm not using. Are you saying that we can take a skin colored concealer and add it to a hydrating primer to turn it into a foundation?
@@UnpurrfectRobyn awesome! The elf camo concealer is the one I was thinking about mixing with a primer. I have so much of it but the color isn't good for my under eyes and might work better for my whole face.

Great idea!
I do that too!:-)
What a great idea! I'm definitely going to try that soon
I like to mix powder blush with primer to make a cream blush which makes both get used up quicker.

what a fantastic idea! 🤩 Going to try it out tomorrow
I really love these videos. I actually started using a loose powder as a dry shampoo because of one of your tips!
Me too! That was a great tip!

I use my pore filling Beauty Bakerie primer under my eyes and even on my eyes. It does make my eye looks look better and last longer
I absolutely love how your makeup turned out. You look incredible! You should do a tutorial of how you made the eye look! Gorgeous! :)
Thank you Megan!! I'm working on a 1 week 1 palette with Sigma New Mod and this look is one of them!

LOVING your hair color!
Thank you Angela!!
Hadn't thought about it before, but now I'm wondering if a matte or pore filling primer would work as an eyeshadow primer. 🤔
Ooh good thought!! Now I want to try it! I also wonder if a gripping primer would work well as a glitter glue 👀
@@SarahRoseBeauty Oh, yeah. Sounds like a good thing to try!!
Thank you for the great tips. I have so many different types of primers that I'd like to go through. I can't wait to try them under my eyes.

Awesome tips! I love what that Matt putty primer did to the hydromaniac foundation for your skin. How did it last through the day?
I felt like it had better staying power than that foundation on its own!
@@SarahRoseBeauty that's fantastic! I bet you won't declutter it now LOL
