I met this man back in 2018 when I was working in the Microsoft store in NJ. This was right around the time when madden 19 dropped. He came in with his brother with a ton of clothes and sneakers from shopping. I had no idea who he was until he asked to play the Madden demo we had on display. He chose the browns and kept passing to the TE and was trash talking his brother saying “you know him personally better guard him” I offered him a soda and he was like “I don’t drink that stuff”. My manager is a huge sports fan so he was like “That’s the Rookie TE from the Browns”. Dude was huge.

If anyone has never heard of Niki Lauda look him up. 1976 F1 championship he was involved in a horrific accident at Nürburgring Nordschleife, Lauda's car burst into flames after hitting the barrier trapping Lauda inside the burning car burning his face and lungs, facing near death while in hospital he returned to racing after only missing two races, he could have won the F1 championship that season but at the last race in Fuji in torrential conditions he retired from the race stating is was not safe to race, returned the following year and won the drivers title for a second time.

that has a rotator cuff injury.
I love how you tried to make it seem like he has some type of regular normal bruise on his leg or arm.
I’m assuming you’ve never had a bruise on your rotator cuff…it ain’t a walk in the park.

At the end of the day it’s a bruise.

Burns are absolutely no joke. I used to get laughed at in college because I would freak out whenever I'd be at a barbeque and someone would squirt lighter fluid on the lit grill, or fuel on a bonfire. Little known fact: My grandfather (who lived next door to me until we moved a few miles away when I was 6) died from putting fuel on brush he was burning when I was about 8 years old. The old stories of the flame following the fuel up the stream to the container and exploding....they're not wivestails. That's exactly what happened to him, it exploded on my grandfather requiring skin grafts and months in the hospital before he eventually succumbed to the inuries. So, yeah, I freak out a little bit about that. Njoku is lucky to be alive, let alone have his eyes and face in tact. I'm thankful he's alright and wouldn't wish that on anyone....ever! Get well David, and be careful everyone!

Can’t tell you how important it is to check your grills/stove/oven if gas has been left on. Turn the gas off & let it air out & open windows before coming back to use it. If you turn on gas to light the grill, you have about 15 seconds to light it. If not, turn gas off & try again in a couple minutes. Fire to the face is incredibly scary stuff & also you don’t want to burn down the house with you in it either.

There's probably a lot of people who see that and recognize it as "bad" but don't realize just HOW bad a serious burn can actually be. You're in excruciating pain. Your skin, which is responsible for maintaining the water in your body and providing protection from UV is destroyed. So you're dumping fluids out of your body, dehydrated, and feeling like it's STILL on fire. Your immune system is working overtime and a half trying to fight off infection...

How does Watson come back and try to lead while looking Njoku in his eyes knowing David played with the injuries he had? The QB is supposed to be the captain of the ship. Watson might never have the respect of the locker room a starting QB should have…. He won’t even address the media regarding his “injury”. I’ll still watch and root for my team on Sunday 😞

This is the kind of accident that can happen to anyone, unlike Jason Pierre-Paul's decision to hold a firework in his hand, or Plaxico Burreess shooting himself because he doesn't know how to properly carry a firearm.

Y’all should look into Nikki Lauda, raced in F1 and crashed and got life threatening burns and came back to finish the season

I can't imagine having to put on a helmet that is touching the burn areas. Plus the sudden pain of catching a football that is going to hit his burnt hands. Wow. Unfathomable.

Yes the pain ,ust have been all time terrible, but the thing no one's mentioning: Dehydration.
Regular people sitting on the couch dehydrate after burns that bad, but this man played a full NFL game at starting TE less than 48 hrs after burning almost all his face severely.
They musta pumped him with the most concentrated IV pack of all time 💦💦💦💦💦💦💦

Comparing this to Watson, well you can compare this to anyone who has an injury and sits out. Not sure why Watson is catching so much heat ON THE FIELD, when the injury he has to his shoulder takes 5+ weeks to heal.

Instead of celebrating that he played why don’t we talk about the fact that the team LET him play? I mean come on this is ridiculous that we are celebrating this…The Browns should be put in blast and called out. This is disgusting. “Mad respect yo…” Dude stfu, this man should have been told no by every person on that staff. The proper answer would be “heal up and we’re here for you when you’re healed”. This is literally the perfect example of corporate slavery in America.

He should've painted that mask to look like Kane. But seriously I hope he recovers further, that looks painful.
