There are 2 ways to response to a check in the past 1. Destroy the piece that check your king 2. Create another timeline to temporary escape check (require you to checkmate or past check before it reach to that turn again) Because you check the king in the past and black create more timeline than you (in 5D chess, you can only able to create timeline if the amount of timeline you and the opponent have is equal. The up and down arrow show you if you or opponent are able to create timeline), black cannot time travel and have to somehow capture knight on d6 or lose the game Tips: don't create timeline. If opponent create timeline, find a way to check them in the past. Create timeline only when your opponent check you in the past and there is no way to capture that piece or you can checkmate them by time travel
I’m pretty sure you won by keeping your knight on D6 for one turn @ the top board. That way you can just go in the past by one step and then move two steps upward. Killing the king in the past which is checkmate.
Interesting bow conservative the AI is with timeline manipulation, considering AI can calculate all possible moves at once and we can't. It'd be trivial to overwhelm our senses with a ridiculous amount of timeline splitting nonsense, but it didn't.

"ah yes, the winning move is obvious, you travel back in time"

4:04 is when timeline branches start showing up. (First comment, 6th like, 4th sub)
😲 you do that too???? I've never met anyone else who does that
I'm your 8th like 11 months later
