just to explain a bit, Goku and Nappa were fighting to a standstill, neither could overpower the other. In the dragon ball z games, specifically Budokai, Yamcha can be instantly killed by the Saibamen explosion. Yamcha could have 9 life bars but still be killed
Vegeta: "9 minutes 18 seconds, 9 minutes 18 seconds!" Nappa: "What's that Vegeta?" Vegeta: "Happiest. Moment. Of. My life!" 9:18 of episode 9 is when he kills Nappa XD
Okay so here's how the Nappa thing went down, since Abridged didn't really show what happened: in the actual series, Nappa asks Vegeta for help and reaches out to him. Vegeta takes his hand, then throws him into the air and blasts him, killing him instantly. If I recall correctly, Goku snatched up Krillin and Gohan to get them out of the way of the blast radius, since as you saw, Vegeta gave no shits about collateral. Also that thing Goku did where he got mad in front of Nappa with all the rocks floating up was him powering up. It's supposed to be an escalation from Raditz, where Goku powering up didn't really amount to much whereas now he's starting to peel the ground up around him. Progressively over the course of the series, characters powering up are going to cause more and more impact to the area around them. I'm glad you guys are finding more enjoyment in this, I'm sure you can tell we're starting to hit a turning point in the quality of the humor. The season finale trilogy coming up next will help to set the bar for Season 2, so I'm super curious how you'll react to it. I checked episode length of upcoming episodes and have found that they only get longer by a minute or two, so the two episode format may still be effective going into Season 2. Especially since we actually get genuine cliffhangers by that point. If you decide to drop back down to one episode, I only ask if it's possible to do 11 and 12 together, as they are essentially world-building filler episodes, whereas 13 is the true start of that season's events.
A lot of the jokes are still references to other material. Naruto, Final Fantasy 7, Princess Mononoke, Pokeman, etc. After this episode (and especially after 10) it kind of stops and focuses more on narrative jokes that anyone can follow. Vegeta actually gets funnier and funnier throughout the series and has some of the best lines. The writing becomes very written and the editing and voice acting is professional level. It really shows how long it took them to make the series and how much their skills increased throughout the journey.
Since you seem unclear how the Dragon Balls work… In the show, the Dragon Balls are brought together to summon the Earth Dragon, Shenron who can grant one wish (so long as it doesn’t exceed Kami’s power- so no granting power about his or forcing a wish on someone more powerful than him), the balls then turn to stone and scatter taking a year to recharge. They can then be regathered and used again. The target of the wish can be broad, but the wish on each target can only ever be granted once. Chiaotzu was wished back with the Dragon Balls before, so that specific wish cannot be granted again. The dragon is tied to Kami, it’s creator. When Kami dies, the dragon goes away. When Kami was young, wanting to be the guardian of Earth, he purged everything in himself he considered evil using a splitting technique to split himself in two. The him that received all the “evil” called himself King Piccolo, who tried to conquer the Earth as revenge for being expunged from Kami. If one ever dies, they both die. However, when King Piccolo was killed, he gave birth to his son Piccolo Jr. and reincarnated himself into him, who then wanted revenge on Goku instead. However after kidnapping and training Gohan, Piccolo Jr. has greatly calmed down. But now that Piccolo Jr. was just killed, Kami died too, so the dragon went away and the Dragon Balls revered to stone spheres. But, they brought up that Kami/Piccolo came from another planet called Namek, and they have their own Dragon Balls.
Thanks for explaining the dragon balls To us. Some of this we’ve been told before but we get a lot of info so it doesn’t always stick first or second time around 😅
About the Raditz stuff: His Max Powerlevel was 1.500. Nappa's max level was 5000. and Vegeta is over 18.000 which is almost 100x times stronger than every opponent Goku has fought in his life.. So by 5 times Raditz and 15 times Raditz, Vegeta likes to make clear they are super strong
Bit of a quick lore dump for you guys: The Dragon Balls are quite powerful (being able to resurrect) but the dragon won't grant the same wish twice like Tien warned Chiaotzu. It wasn't a special ability of Goku's to be able to come back, but he was allowed to keep his body while dead because of his track record on Earth. Tien's big move (kikoho) pulls from your life force to power it up, and with not much left he just dropped dead. Kami and Piccolo are 2 halves of the same original person, Piccolo previously being the evil half. In the actual series, Goku breaks Nappa's back and Vegeta tosses him into the air and kills him because he can't fight anymore.
Episode 8: The jokes about Piccolo and Krillin multiplying are references to Naruto. same with the "Believe it" joke that Nappa made. Naruto is able to clone himself and his catchphrase is "believe it!" Episode 9: the "Scouter says it's over 9000!" is a Dragonball meme that's been around for ages. because in the original series Vegeta ends up screaming it like it was a big deal. So this joke was to sorta make a reference but downplay it.
_and his catchphrase is "believe it!"_ Teeechnically, he only ever actually used it in season 1 and season 2 of part 1 of the anime. He stopped using it for literally the rest of the anime afterwards. "Dattebayo" is his true catchphrase but obviously not a lot of people would get that line as much so TFS just went for the low hanging fruit at the time.
@@anthonydeadman true but when most people cosplay or do anything Naruto. they usually use "Believe it" outside of "Dattebayo". So you're not wrong. lol just was the easy way to explain to them the reference without diving into the whole history.
@@DanteTheBroly That's cause most of the cosplayers who do that, only ever watched most of the first two seasons of part 1 and then a few tidbits of Part 2 and nothing else after that. Then decide to cosplay a character or two because their attire looks really cool. Anyway, I'm just an overly obsessed fan in that regard. I get your easy explanation. Just clarifying "Believe It" was never really his true catchphrase.
Super late on this but to give some clarity on what happened in the actual show with Tien's final attack, Tien's attack did actually almost kill Nappa. Nappa was caught off guard and he if didnt' manage to guard himself in time it WOULD have actually killed him. As a result that's the first part Nappa actually took damage and his armor is completely jacked up afterwards.
Piccollo's sacrifice for Gohan has been the first real dramatic moment in DBZ and has resonated with many and establishes Piccollo as Gohan's true father.... Here TeamFourStar wrote a good reason why Vegeta killed Nappa... because in DBZ it was only... "A defeated Saiyan isn't worth shit..so go to hell". Because: A Saiyan fights until he win or he dies..that's the code of honor of their people for millions of years
Oh by the way: Even if you have not asked😉 Kami (the old Namekian) died because many centuries ago when he arrived on earth he had to free himself from all evil to become god, from this was born the old King Piccollo who Goku defeated as a child...but before that he laid an egg..so from the Piccollo Jr. hatched the Piccollo who just saved Son Gohan. (The Namekians are a male-only species and reproduce asexually). But Kami who created the Dragon Balls shares the same life force with Piccollo...So if one of them dies, they both die..and that means.... No Dragonballs.
The Dragonballs have a bit of complicated rules that were introduced in the original series, the summary is that Kami the older green alien became the god of the world and created the balls. The balls have rules such as a limtied number of wishes, a cooldown between gathering and wishing again, not being able to kill targets directly, and not bringing the dead back to life a 2nd time. In the original Dragonball series, it is explained that Kami purged himself of his evils by separating it into another half which is Piccolo. The original Piccolo was killed by Goku, but as a last resort Piccolo created Piccolo Jr by spitting out an egg. Piccolo Jr carries on the essence and is the current one we see in the series. If Piccolo dies then Kami disappears then the balls stop functioning. Hopefully this helped explain things a bit and makes this make a bit more sense.
13:55 "I'ma firin' mah lazer" was a big Internet meme in 2008 (also called "Shoop da whoop" for some reason). The joke usually has Cell (from later DBZ episodes) saying the line and blasting a laser blast from his mouth, but TFS decided to throw it in here instead. Which fits Nappa better, really. 18:13 this was a HUGE meme back in 2006, only Vegeta said "It's over 9000!" in the original meme. (Which is the joke; in this one he says it's 1006, which is 9001 upside-down.)
Don't see it mentioned but worth noting, the technique Tien used on Nappa that killed himself is a special move that uses life energy rather than regular Ki to exceed what the body could normally produce, it also drains the body and can be fatal if pushed too far or used in a weakened state. So basically both Chaotzu and Tien self destructed in this fight.
"Vegeta look..." "What?" "I caaaan fllllllyyyy!" Genius 😅 Looks really great how Bethany tries to absorb and understand everything :) Here it was so that in the original Krillin was the my that Goku would soon be here and would have become much stronger... that makes Vegeta curious and he gives them voluntarily 3 hours break....
Piccolo and Gohan are the best duo if we''re talking overall. Others are funnier, but Piccolo and Gohan are of the highest "quality", so to speak. (In my opinion, obviously)
You're correct on the inside joke part. They start branching out significantly on their writing about 20 episodes in. And they do bring up the fact Krillin isn't really any one persons best friend later on, it's pretty clever.
So, the ability to come back was actually from gathering these seven orbs called Dragon Balls and making a wish on them. However, as a minor spoiler, they can't bring them back with the Dragon Balls because Chaitzou had already died once and been brough back and they can only ever be brought back once. Also, for episode 9, look at the time for when Vegeta blew up Nappa, because they made a call back to something they said earlier in the episode 😉
Thanks for clarifying 🙂 and we’ve been told about the time stamp already. People really enjoyed that part but we missed it when watching it first time 🤗
I would definitely say that this was the time when they really started to find their footing with their comedy. Oh and just a reminder that the next 3 episodes (10-12) are all technically Episode 10, divided in 3 parts.
This show isn't just a parody...it's a FAN based parody lol these guys live and breathe dragonball z. When you've seen the whole show you get all the references and it just makes it that much better, but it's such an amazing show and these guys do such an amazing job that anyone can watch this and catch on. Eventually the show calls back on itself more than just the original material (like you said) so it's all uphill from here....the third season is quite literally PERFECT 😁
The series has kind of reached the point where it stops being a collection of in-jokes and they're actually trying to get a cohesive narrative. And Vegeta is the best character in the series, so.....the more Vegeta the better (that's true of both abridged, and the actual series).
I would argue that Vegeta was planning to kill Nappa for a long time. The first big clue to this we get for this is in episode 8 where he clearly states that he was going to kill "ALL, of you". One could take this to also include Nappa. In episode 9 he calms himself down by chanting "9 minutes and 18 seconds" as his "happiest moment in life". That is the precise timestamp of where he kills Nappa. This really shows us how Nappa has been an annoyance to him for a very long time. At this point of the story Vegeta's sole motivation is to get revenge on Kakarot, but I shouldn't go deeper into that as that's for future episodes. I should however explain that Piccolo and Kami have a deeper link between them than just looks. Kami and Piccolo are essentially one and the same person to a point that one cannot exist without the other. Kami is essentially Piccolo's "good personality", which is why Piccolo is acting in a more villainous role right now. One of the things everyone was looking forward to especially this episode is how Team FourStar was going to handle the legendary "IT'S OVER 9000!!!" yell from Vegeta. It was a little goofy in the original, but it was also a rather beloved rage moment in the DBZ community. TFS completely subverted this scene by having Vegeta act uncharacteristically calm and giving a rather subdued grunt as he breaks his own scouter. Here's the legendary version of the "Over 9000!" for reference: th-cam.com/video/pb-GUD5hAHc/w-d-xo.html
now that I think about it, Yamcha got killed by a Saibaman, Chiaozu blew himself up, and Tien expended himself using the Kikoho, so technically, neither Vegeta nor Nappa killed them
Would've been such a dick move for the dragon to not resurrect them based on such a technicality if ya just wished for everyone killed by the saiyans to be brought back. lol
Fun fact about mr. Popo is that in the original show, people complained about being freaked out by him on looks alone, so they changed his appearance to be more blue skinned. In the kai version of dbz. (Basically an abridged version of cutting out a lot of filler episodes and shortening needlessly long fights like goku's fight with Frieza.) Team four star ran with the idea of Mr. Popo being scary with making him a hilariously creepy character that gets off on people's misery who gives no f's about what anyone thinks. There is a polemon called Jynx that had the same thing happen with it combined with complaints of it looking a bit racist, and gets thrown in as a couple one off joke in this series as well.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 yeah past the frieza arc the dragonballs even during honestly sometimes the dragonballs feel like an afterthought instead of the focus.
Nice to see you guys enjoying and laughing x3 lol Btw. There is one reference to the Naruto series. When piccolo and krillin use the mutiform technique they yelled "kage bunshin no jutsu" thats the shadow clone justsu technique in the naruto series that creates clones of yourself and Naruto uses it a lot. And when Nappa says "vegeta. I cant.... believe it" the "Believe it" is Naruto's catch phrase
Episode 10 is divided into three parts. Would be best to do them all at once. Also you can do 2 episodes at once until episode 13. Since the two follow up episodes after the finale are basically fillers.
a fun little aside, thanks to how quickly Yamcha got taken out the character has had this reputation since then of being the weakling *relatively speaking* of the group, and this even ended up becoming a joke in Dragon Ball Super. However at the time it wasn't intended that way, a great deal of DBZ fans didn't realize the previous show existed and in that show Yamcha was considered among the stronger fighters (like fifth place but still), so Yamcha being taken out so quickly was supposed to convey how serious the threat was.
You guys should watch the creators reviewing their work. It's pretty interesting to go into the background stuff and what they've been through. And also watch the shorts and HFIL series afterwards
Hey, do you wanna know what's real lame here? DBZ/DBZA: "Distructo Disk" Japanese: "Kienzan" = Ki Circle Slasher German Dub: Energie Diskus = Energy Diskus/Disk LAAAAAAAAAAAME 😅 But Gohan's Masenko is cool in german "Demon Lighting" (Blitz) because until this point everyone everybody thought the old King Piccollo and our Piccollo here were demons.
Make sure you watch all 3 parts of Episode 10 in one reaction video, or in one reaction and break it into 3 videos if you want. Watching 2 of the 3 parts together and then the last part with episode 11 doesn't make much sense.
We talked about the Aquaman bit the first time it happened, I believe it was last two episodes 🤔🤗 didn’t talk much about it but enjoyed his whales bit 😂
"9 Minutes 18 Seconds..." if you check the time, roughly at 9 Minutes 18 Seconds Vegeta kills Nappa ^^ Also Piccolo and the old green guy once where 1 being, so if one of them dies, both do. The old green guy is "god" and he created the Dragonballs. Without him, no balls ^^ The thing i don't like about Episode 9 is that they ruined the oldest meme on the internet: "It's over 9000 !" *scream*
Of course in the show the fight is longer and more dramatic. I think that's why I thought it was a bad idea to abriged DBZ to begin with. The show is too funny to begin with so you are replacing the previous jokes with your own and... some don't work at ALL (I praised all gods for the death of the joke "TOO SOON". and they stoped using it). But also you have those dramatic moments who are working against you. Granted, they managed to find a different style. All character evolve at the season 2 mark some are unrecognisable (Kami, Yamcha, Vegeta even...) Oh, little precision on the fight: The Dragon Ball can only resurrect people once. So the death's were a big deal at the time (Chaozu was already killed once) especialy Piccolo's who was the guy who should absolutly NOT die. If you want a heads up on who already use his get out of jail: Krilin (got killed by Tambourine, one of the soldiers of King Piccolo (the "father" of Piccolo (long story but there is a reason Piccolo is a bad guy at the start of the show))) Chaozu (Killed by king Piccolo) Master Roshi (killed by King Piccolo (he was good at his job)) And now joining the list is Goku.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Oh I get it. I rediscovered Yu-Gi-Oh with the abriged series (first of it's kind actually AND creator is in DBZA: he play the narrator and one of the major villan to come.) But Yu-Gi-Oh is a stupid incoerrant show to begin with. (It's still a fun show and i love it for it.) It's a 35 year old show with some really bad pacing but some extremely good moment. Really my advice if you want to experience the original is to go to the source: the manga. faster read and all the emmotionnal and funny moment are here.
Thanks for the info on the next season. We may continue with the two episode format if it’s similar lengths 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 No, the episodes get less and less abridged as the seasons go on, but they also get a LOT better.
Love it. Can’t wait to see it get even better 🙂😀
did you just unironically call it Pokeman?
What's the Mononoke reference?
Since you seem unclear how the Dragon Balls work…
In the show, the Dragon Balls are brought together to summon the Earth Dragon, Shenron who can grant one wish (so long as it doesn’t exceed Kami’s power- so no granting power about his or forcing a wish on someone more powerful than him), the balls then turn to stone and scatter taking a year to recharge.
The time that Vegeta gave for the happiest moment in his life was the time remaining in the episode until he killed Nappa
That believe it part was reference to Naruto . In English dub he says believe it a lot and he clones himself a lot.
Ahhh finally i get this joke. Thank you.
Thanks! 🙂
The 9 minutes 15 seconds joke is talking about the video time if you go from that joke to 9:15 in the video he kills nappa 😂
😎👍😀
9 Minutes and 18 seconds was an epic foreshadow for when Vegeta would kill Nappa
😎👍🙂
Bit of a quick lore dump for you guys:
The Dragon Balls are quite powerful (being able to resurrect) but the dragon won't grant the same wish twice like Tien warned Chiaotzu.
Thanks for the quick lore hits 🙂 Poor Nappa. Vegeta is cold blooded 😯
It's hilarious how they trolled raditz in this😂
"I Can't Believe It!" Gets me everytime. Naruto always said "Believe It".
Episode 8: The jokes about Piccolo and Krillin multiplying are references to Naruto. same with the "Believe it" joke that Nappa made. Naruto is able to clone himself and his catchphrase is "believe it!"
Episode 9: the "Scouter says it's over 9000!" is a Dragonball meme that's been around for ages. because in the original series Vegeta ends up screaming it like it was a big deal. So this joke was to sorta make a reference but downplay it.
_and his catchphrase is "believe it!"_
Teeechnically, he only ever actually used it in season 1 and season 2 of part 1 of the anime.
Thanks for helping clarify some stuff that went over our head 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 I do what I can :) thank you for being open to new worlds rather than just assuming they aren't for you without knowing it.
Because: A Saiyan fights until he win or he dies..that's the code of honor of their people for millions of years
I mean I guess the original version just shows how ruthless Vegeta is 🤔
Oh by the way: Even if you have not asked😉
Kami (the old Namekian) died because many centuries ago when he arrived on earth he had to free himself from all evil to become god, from this was born the old King Piccollo who Goku defeated as a child...but before that he laid an egg..so from the Piccollo Jr. hatched the Piccollo who just saved Son Gohan.
(The Namekians are a male-only species and reproduce asexually).
But Kami who created the Dragon Balls shares the same life force with Piccollo...So if one of them dies, they both die..and that means.... No Dragonballs.
Sometimes we don’t know what to ask so it helps when you take initiative like this, Sharky 🤗😀
When she said "Way to Go-han", I don't know if she did that on purpose or not, but it made me chuckle more than it should have 😊
The Dragonballs have a bit of complicated rules that were introduced in the original series, the summary is that Kami the older green alien became the god of the world and created the balls.
Thanks for helping explain dragon balls and rules for us 🙂
@@acrab6527 Spoilers
different balls different dragon different rules.
Sacrifices themselves for nothing 😢
"Vegeta look..."
"What?"
"I caaaan fllllllyyyy!"
Genius 😅
Looks really great how Bethany tries to absorb and understand everything :)
Here it was so that in the original Krillin was the my that Goku would soon be here and would have become much stronger... that makes Vegeta curious and he gives them voluntarily 3 hours break....
Krilin and Goku are the best friends which is why they were together more often
😎👍🙂
Piccolo and Gohan are the best duo if we''re talking overall. Others are funnier, but Piccolo and Gohan are of the highest "quality", so to speak. (In my opinion, obviously)
It’s a good choice. Really love their dynamic 😊
R.I.P Pokemon, Popo, Mime Jr Lookin Boi
"Ricolaaaa-ahhh damnit!"
Never gets old! 🤣🤣
You're correct on the inside joke part. They start branching out significantly on their writing about 20 episodes in. And they do bring up the fact Krillin isn't really any one persons best friend later on, it's pretty clever.
😎👍🙂
It only gets better from here guys
Nice 😁
And from now on, it basically just keeps getting better!
😎🤟🥳
So, the ability to come back was actually from gathering these seven orbs called Dragon Balls and making a wish on them. However, as a minor spoiler, they can't bring them back with the Dragon Balls because Chaitzou had already died once and been brough back and they can only ever be brought back once. Also, for episode 9, look at the time for when Vegeta blew up Nappa, because they made a call back to something they said earlier in the episode 😉
Thanks for clarifying 🙂 and we’ve been told about the time stamp already. People really enjoyed that part but we missed it when watching it first time 🤗
The believe it part and the over 9000 meme flew over their heads, it’s amazing.
I can promise you, it gets waaaay better when namek saga begins
😎👍😀
I would definitely say that this was the time when they really started to find their footing with their comedy.
Oh and just a reminder that the next 3 episodes (10-12) are all technically Episode 10, divided in 3 parts.
We are doing all three parts for next reaction 😁
Looking forward to it 😀
18:28 This is where the fun begins
😊🥳
Crazy that I wasn't the only one thinking Nappa looked like Soda Popinski from Mike Tyson's punchout! 😂
You are not alone 🤗😜
The kagebunshin no justu followed by nappas "I can't believe it" took me out 🤣🤣 sad to see that they didn't get the joke though
Goku stopped powering up because he knew the scouter could read his power level. He didn’t want Nappa and Vegeta to know how strong he really was.
✅ 🙂 Thanks!
There they are, my favorite couple on youtube :D
🥰😊🙂
The series has kind of reached the point where it stops being a collection of in-jokes and they're actually trying to get a cohesive narrative. And Vegeta is the best character in the series, so.....the more Vegeta the better (that's true of both abridged, and the actual series).
Looking forward to seeing it develop further. We are definitely laughing more 🙂
I would argue that Vegeta was planning to kill Nappa for a long time.
Thanks for sharing the link so we could check that out 🙂
now that I think about it, Yamcha got killed by a Saibaman, Chiaozu blew himself up, and Tien expended himself using the Kikoho, so technically, neither Vegeta nor Nappa killed them
Would've been such a dick move for the dragon to not resurrect them based on such a technicality if ya just wished for everyone killed by the saiyans to be brought back. lol
@@gamerbear84 I could see abridged Shenron pull that off
😂 fair point. Guess they didn’t kill anyone directly 🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Piccolo... Nappa totally did kill Piccolo
Remember, Kami exposited about a second set of Dragon Balls on his planet of origin, Namek.
We had missed that/forgotten 😯
I’m so glad you guys are enjoying this!
We are glad it was recommended 🤗
Fun fact about mr. Popo is that in the original show, people complained about being freaked out by him on looks alone, so they changed his appearance to be more blue skinned. In the kai version of dbz. (Basically an abridged version of cutting out a lot of filler episodes and shortening needlessly long fights like goku's fight with Frieza.)
Team four star ran with the idea of Mr.
1:55 Aye!!!!! Final Fantasy VII theme😂
Its kinda funny how accurate that only the first season deals with the dragon balls. Later seasons definitely can almost ignore the name entirely XD.
Interesting. So the dragon balls really don’t come up anymore? 😂🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 yeah past the frieza arc the dragonballs even during honestly sometimes the dragonballs feel like an afterthought instead of the focus.
Next episode is 3 parts the best episodes in season 1 down know if your going to watch the 3 parts all together.
All three together for sure 😁
Nice to see you guys enjoying and laughing x3 lol
Btw.
Thanks for the Naruto references 🙂
I can understand vageta because in canon he was with nappa for like 20 years
Yeah that would be a long time to be with This version of Nappa 😂
Did you catch the “9 minutes, 18 seconds joke earlier? It’s about that time when Vegeta kills Nappa.
I love this series! I can’t wait until uou finish everything so I can binge watch it all lol
😂🤗😊
Sweet, nice to get this on Sunday's! :) Excited to for you guys to see more! The Dead Zone movie that should be coming up is a banger!
Looking forward to seeing the abridged movies 🙂
Episode 10 is divided into three parts. Would be best to do them all at once. Also you can do 2 episodes at once until episode 13. Since the two follow up episodes after the finale are basically fillers.
😎👍🙂 we for sure have all 3 parts for 10 in one vid 😁
a fun little aside, thanks to how quickly Yamcha got taken out the character has had this reputation since then of being the weakling *relatively speaking* of the group, and this even ended up becoming a joke in Dragon Ball Super. However at the time it wasn't intended that way, a great deal of DBZ fans didn't realize the previous show existed and in that show Yamcha was considered among the stronger fighters (like fifth place but still), so Yamcha being taken out so quickly was supposed to convey how serious the threat was.
Was his death as anti climatic in the real show? 🤔🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 close to it, a little more screaming for padding time but yeah, he got one shotted by a suicide attack from the Saibaman.
Nappa will always be the best character of Abridged for me. Krillin comes second. Nappa is the GOAT of Abridged😂😂😂
We forgot about the radizz jokes lol
You guys should watch the creators reviewing their work. It's pretty interesting to go into the background stuff and what they've been through. And also watch the shorts and HFIL series afterwards

Some things Krillin really doesn't deserve...so to be owned by Chaozu..that's really hard...
Someone else said that Krillin is pretty well respected these days for how powerful he is. 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Well technically he and Yamcha are the strongest humans on earth.
Hey, do you wanna know what's real lame here?
DBZ/DBZA: "Distructo Disk"
Japanese: "Kienzan" = Ki Circle Slasher
German Dub: Energie Diskus = Energy Diskus/Disk
LAAAAAAAAAAAME 😅
But Gohan's Masenko is cool in german "Demon Lighting" (Blitz) because until this point everyone everybody thought the old King Piccollo and our Piccollo here were demons.
turn on subtitles, and put them on canadian for maximum expirience
But according to the rules set by the creator of the Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball, anyone brought back once before can't be brought back a second time.
Excited to see how you will react while the story progresses :)
Can’t wait to see the story and writing progress 😀
I never thought to compare Nappa to Soda Poppinski (or Vodka Drunkiski for those who prefer the original name).
And now Nappa's dead. And we'll NEVER see him again...

Make sure you watch all 3 parts of Episode 10 in one reaction video, or in one reaction and break it into 3 videos if you want. Watching 2 of the 3 parts together and then the last part with episode 11 doesn't make much sense.
Yup. We are doing episode 10 all 3 parts. One video 🙂😇
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Great to know! I look forward to the reaction.
Ever notice that everyone that does these react videos never talk about all the Superman or Justice League jokes in the Saiyan Saga.

"9 Minutes 18 Seconds..." if you check the time, roughly at 9 Minutes 18 Seconds Vegeta kills Nappa ^^
Also Piccolo and the old green guy once where 1 being, so if one of them dies, both do.
The old green guy is "god" and he created the Dragonballs. Without him, no balls ^^
The thing i don't like about Episode 9 is that they ruined the oldest meme on the internet:
"It's over 9000 !" *scream*

The first season is slow. These episodes are better. Around 12 quality jumps against then keeps getting better.
We heard it only gets better which we look forward to 😁
Of course in the show the fight is longer and more dramatic.
All character evolve at the season 2 mark some are unrecognisable (Kami, Yamcha, Vegeta even...)
Oh, little precision on the fight: The Dragon Ball can only resurrect people once. So the death's were a big deal at the time (Chaozu was already killed once) especialy Piccolo's who was the guy who should absolutly NOT die.
If you want a heads up on who already use his get out of jail:
Krilin (got killed by Tambourine, one of the soldiers of King Piccolo (the "father" of Piccolo (long story but there is a reason Piccolo is a bad guy at the start of the show)))
Chaozu (Killed by king Piccolo)
Master Roshi (killed by King Piccolo (he was good at his job))
And now joining the list is Goku.
😎👍🙂
Not sure we would’ve gotten as into it without Abridged though. The abridged is kind of making us want to see the original one now. 🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Oh I get it.
I rediscovered Yu-Gi-Oh with the abriged series (first of it's kind actually AND creator is in DBZA: he play the narrator and one of the major villan to come.)
But Yu-Gi-Oh is a stupid incoerrant show to begin with. (It's still a fun show and i love it for it.)
It's a 35 year old show with some really bad pacing but some extremely good moment.
Really my advice if you want to experience the original is to go to the source: the manga.
faster read and all the emmotionnal and funny moment are here. You lose the famous terrible english dub who tried to turn Goku into Superman...
I consider It funny, cuse the 1 seasone of dragon ball z abridged is considered the worst, and they still Like It. I wonder what will they say about next seasones.
