At 3:33 you can see that, under the master settings - Outpout transform settings, Premiere Pro automatically transforms the footage into rec.709 color space / BT.1886 gamma curve in your example. So the first adjustment layer that you used is not necessary. The big problem is that you are actually limiting yourself because you can no longer make use of the huge REDWideGamutRGB color space the RED R3D files come with. It would make way more sense to leave the output transform settings under master as REDWideGamutRGB/LOG3G10 and then convert the footage into rec.709 on the adjustment layer on the very top, not the bottom layer.

This has been so helpful for me importing red raw into bins instead of multiples of the same thing.

How can your laptop show a yellow render bar (isn't pre-rendered, but can be playbacked on real-time) Even when you added a lot of adjustment layers? Is your laptop that godly?

How can I get the Red effect controls on the adjustment layer? I just get the Lumetri options there.

what's the difference between the red ipp2 luts and the regular 709 ones? wouldn't you want to use the regular 709 since you already converted it to 709 with the first layer adjustment? otherwise, i think maybe you put the ipp2 lut on it first?

It's my first time working with RED footage. When I want to import the files, for each take of the footage, it shows multiple clips. I pick the biggest one which is the complete clip of that take and import it. Can I delete the rest of the clips from my hard drive? It's so confusing why there are so many clips on the same footage, each with different length!

When the footage is being recorded to SSD in camera, it is chaptered to 4Gb files, so you will see a bunch of files depending on the length of the shot in that one clip. Bringing in to Premiere: On a pc - open up a browser where the footage is located, then search *_001.r3d -now bring just these files into Premiere and you will have each whole clip.
