    do you have videos on the post workflow of how to do colouring with R3D in resolve and edit in Premiere?

    At the end point of this video, once LOG3G10 to REC709 and R3D metadata has been set, is the next proper step to begin working in the Lumetri panel? Adjusting maybe highlights, shadows, and possibly another LUT on top of the REC709 LUT to get the specific look I want? Is that the correct workflow/process in the IPP2 pipeline in Premiere? I'm new to R3D footage so I'm trying to learn the correct workflow for proper color grading with it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Hey dude thanks for the video. Can I ask @2:00 why it was not necessary to tick the 'ingest' checkbox before importing your footage? cheers

    Cool, thanks Dan. Just a quick question on how far have Adobe got with the RED/Nvidia implementation so far? I'm still relying on my Red Rocket to push things on but would be great to upgrade and use the GPU instead.

    Thanks for this video. I just have a quick question. What about the black bars that appear at the bottom and top of the frame after you set to frame size? I know this is the default aspect ratio but if I wanted to rescale the image it gets rid of the black bars and doesn’t match the rest of the footage. Is there a better way to approach setting the frame size of the image? How would you set the image to frame size and have it fill the frame of the viewer?

      Chose an 8K clip, scale down until it fits properly.. click the 'motion' tab in preferences (the one with scale, position etc) copy.... select all your other 8K clips... just paste and it will apply the same size settings. Then repeat for any other sizes of footage you have... 6k, 5k etc...

    Hi, we were shooting on a red komodo with scratch audio and I'm struggling to get the incamera audio imported by this method

  • @marshallandroxy
    @marshallandroxy ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm following the same steps and it's not bringing in the audio from my r3d footage (komodo camera, latest premiere). Clips are mostly 4k, 60 fps, but I would like some audio because I had some commentary guiding the tracks (for post references). Any idea why the audio isn't importing?

    Hi, I've been having trouble getting the RMD to load and show color in Premiere. I've created a new RMD from Cine x pro. But when I go into the RED settings in premiere, nothing will change despite clicking reload from RMD. The RMD is also saved in the same folder as the clip.

    Is there a way to fix black screen problem in Adobe Premiere when working with R3D files?
    I went trough all possible forums and couldn't find a solution. I have all new drivers, GeForce 2060 and 48 mb of RAM.

  • @DavidCodeglia

    Is "Reload from RMD" not working for anyone else in the Source settings? I did a little one-light grade in RedCine, saved all RMDs, and Premiere doesn't seem to update things like ISO, tint, etc. when I click "Reload from RMD." Suggestions?

    Don't you want to get your image as close to the desired look by changing the RAW Metadata in the source tab so that this is your starting point without any degradation? And then do specifics with lumetri? Isn't this the whole purpose of shooting RAW? If I apply a LUT my starting point is the log footage!?

    There are a lot of considerations that a snap judgment clip like this would not cover. For an instant camera, the iPhone is going to compare favorably because the image on your screen is much closer to the final image. They have a ton of image enhancements and sharpening to make it look like an expensive camera. On the Red 8K V-Raptor, it has the ability to see much more detail in the shadows and highlights if you know how to color grade with the R3D raw video file. You might still have two stops down and up that you can restore. This would not be possible on the iPhone.
    Basically, Red cameras are for professionals who have a knowledge of raw video workflows and cinematography. Many Netflix shows and movies are shot on Red Epic-W and Monstro such as Extraction, Squid Game and Narcos. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was shot on the Red Weapon camera with an 8K Vista Vision sensor.

    This just seems like a lot of extra work that could be easily solved in resolve with just a few button clicks. Great video though for when I need to help my friends who are still using premiere.
