Lanseax Glaive needs faster cast time more hyperarmor and better damage imo but fortisax lightning spear is really good now and death lightning is an amazing spell
Put on radagon’s icon talisman, you also can’t be hit out of it once you summoned the glaive even with a ultra GS. I made a build like 10 days before the patch using storm ashes of war and the lighting spells and I found it a bit underwhelming to begin with however after the patch it’s really fun and strong
I’ve tried this build at 80 and 125, it beats the people who are new to souls pvp but to more experienced players, nothing will hit them. All the attacks are too slow and since they have hyper armor now they just dodge and are not dumb enough to trade into a 2k hitting attack. If you watch the video most the players didn’t even know how to dodge
@@ElJayEmCee people say the frozen lighting sucks. But I don’t lock on to the targets with it. I just keep unlocked so when they move and doge you can rotate it and hit them. It works pretty well. Still prefer sorcery over faith tho🤪
I pvp at 150 and been getting plenty of kills against quite skilled players. These incantations are amazing in pvp if you know how to use them properly.
@@bonnibel_bubblebuns well at 150 everything 1 or 2 shots if you’re building properly, just need to get a lucky hit or 2 to win at that level, it’s not that great of a pvp level. Also, not sure what your criteria are for skill but As much as I pvp I’ve never been hit my a high hitting incantation like death lightning.
@@JABBACLAPPEDLEIA if they panic roll you can hit them with it, but if someone watches you cast then roll you can’t hit them. Also I’ve been able to roll towards frozen lightning and the recovery of that spell makes it a huge liability.
Some thoughts from one caster to another: Saw your stat build around 4:52, but never saw your talismans. Assuming something like Lightning Scorpion Charm, Radagon's Icon, and Flock's Canvas Talisman, but would like to know for sure. Try unlocking and predict casting with Frozen Lightning Spear. Since it has such a long cone AoE, people tend to roll away or around it easily when locked, but unlocked predict casting gives an opportunity to roll catch easily with such massive AoE. Besides, you're already locked into place for the animation, so you don't need to be focused on your opponent, just keep them in view. Obviously Gravel Stone Seal gives that sweet dragon cult damage boost, but it may be worthwhile to drop your casting one for the Dragon Communion Seal and split your points into Faith/Arcane. The DC seal gets better Incantation scaling with 45/45 Fai/Arc than most of the other seals at 70/80 Faith. Essentially, with or without a Marika's Soreseal you can save some lesser or greater amount of points and put them into survivability while not sacrificing damage-- unless the double Gravel Stone Seals really give that much of a bonus. Honestly, Marika's Soreseal is a huge boon to split casters, whether Int/Fai, Fai/Arc, or Int/Arc, since Arc scaling staves and seals peak at around 45 Arc, meaning you only have to go as far as you need in Int or Faith for your spells. Curious on your thoughts. It doesn't get a boost from the Gravel seal or the DC seal, but Placidusax's Ruin will be boosted by the Flock's Canvas and Lightning Scorpion Talismans, at least on the first unreactible hit. The AoE is lightning, the breath is fire. I know this was probably just a showcase for the new dragon cult incantation buffs, so this will probably be stuff you ignored mostly in favor of showing all that off. Excellent duels, looking forward to the next video.
Yeah man I totally agree I use this bud for other stuff as well so quickly swap stuff around to fit other stuff but yeah I agree for the most part wouldn't scorpion charm and soreseal cause alot of damage negation to disappear tho?
@@ElJayEmCee If you just do one of them it's manageable, if you do both you might want to eat some boiled crab or wear the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. I've found decent success wearing both Radagon Soreseal and Marika Soreseal and popping boiled crab if my opponent uses physical or Crimsonwhirl Tear in my flask if they run spells. It's 40 extra levels, although really only 35-ish can be used unless you're a really funky mage build.

I’ve hardly progressed through the game because I’ve been trying out all types of build. I’ve gotten pretty efficient at getting characters to 60 in an hour and a half or so. And then I can +9 a weapon within an hour after that. All that to say, my Cosplay Zeus is my favorite so far. I think it’s the build I’m going to take to end game. The lighting incs are so fun and do crazy damage. Nice video. This confirmed for me to stop rerolling and take Zeus to the end. 😁
The only saving grace I've found is the hyper poise you get now from fortisaxxs lightning spear. Everything else is to slow and predictable for pvp over SL 150. Don't even get me started on the bugged hit box for honed bolt.
I've been 1 shotting people with Death Lightning since before the patch. You just gotta go in with the knowledge that it's basically a slot machine, still is.
Is Ancient Dragon's Lighting Strike preferable to Death Lightning? It feels like it hits more consistently but idk how accurate that impression actually is.

@@LeedleBeetle4 Probably the faith ones they mentioned are the Faithful's Canvas Talisman and Flock's Canvas Talisman. They boost miracle damage by 4% and 7.5% respectively according to fextralife.
As they said above, duels have unspoken honor rules. No healing is a big one. Outside of maybe crimson bubble tear in the physick. Buffs and non-heal physick buffs are still free game.

A fellow lord of lightning, I used lightning incantations prior to this recent patch. They're so powerful, a lot of fun and visually stunning.
