This commercial helped me come to grips with aging as a firefighter. While there are young men who are slimmer and faster doing the same job. i have gained in other areas. The years and wisdom is just as valuable.
You have to consider this: We're easily able to distinguish the CGI of the "young" Michael Jordan in this video, due to the restoration technology that we have today and can watch these old footages in high quality. But then, you have to think that back in the day, when this commercial aired about 20 years ago, people watched this on their old TVs, where the image resolution was lower back then, I bet this was huge - absolutely huge for those that watched it the first time. Kids, teenagers and adults, everyone must've had their minds blown when they saw that an older MJ was competing against himself in this commercial. This is material and marketing that I respect for his legacy as one of the greatest and inspiring players in the history of sports.
